55 min walk today. Ugh, it is getting humid again

I was very hungry at lunch today, so ate more than I have for the past few days. Still not satisfied Far from any desire to binge, just genuinly hungry (hormonal, I guess). Drinking lots of water and will have good dinner, provided appetite suppresion does not kick in all of the sudden. Still have to take 1 tbl of ghee. Will probably have it shortly.

I was starving for dinner as well. I really piged out on turkey tonight I was craving protein like crazy. Had some sauteed mushrooms with it. Well, I listened to my body and gave it the calories it needed today. Zero desire for my all time favorites things like yogurt, honey, fruits. They are all in front of me and I have no reaction to them

Ended the day at around 1700 cal (including ghee), which is about 600-700 cal more than I have been eating past few days, except for the 2000 cal day on Tuesday.

AS is back. Nice! I am starting to see an interesting pattern emerging.
Oh, I so wish I have done this sooner. Why was I so skeptical when I first heared about SLD few months ago. It would have saved me from a lot of misery.

Exercise today:
Jari Love Ripped & Chiseled and I plan to do 30 min Leslie walking DVD. I got the new one and need to try it.

So happy for you Marika!! Let me know how you like the new Leslie, I am waiting for my copy to come in the mail. I heard it has a pretty good weights workout as well as the walking.

I sure will, Jeanie. I previewed both the workouts and they strenght one looks good for Leslie. I never use her for strenght, but this one looks like she covers all the body parts. I usully dislike her strenght workouts because she does uneven reps on bother the sides. I will be doing the walking one today as I have already done my strenght.
I am sure you know she has another one coming out in Septemeber- 5 mega miles or something. I get so confused w/all the titles and another one called radio hits or something.

Yeah, I don't like most of her strength ones either, I basically just like to have something to follow and I do a lot of my own modifications and add-ons. I really like the bridge/ab/ plank work in her belly blasting dvd, that ones a keeper.

OK, I just finished the new one. It was good, typical Leslie. 30 min went by fast which is always a good thing. Leslie was not overly chatty. New music and new group of walkers. Definitely a keeper.

I like her belly blasting dvd a lot! I did not even know there was a bridge work. I will have to try it next time.

AS is very weak today- I am STARVING! Yesterday AS very strong to the point that I ended up only with 800 cal (including 2 tbls of ghee).
Thanks to SLD my PMS is so managable. It is almost non-existant. Few hungry days and the hunger is for all healthy stuff. I am craving veggies and meats, so different from my previous months were I would binge for days on carbs and put on few lbs.

55 min walk today.

Those are really great numbers, the controlled eating and the exercise are certainly going great for you on the scale. Keep up the good work!!! Who is this workout person Leslie?

Thanks Jessica!
Leslie Sansone has bunch of indoor "walking" DVD. They are pretty low impact aerobic moves: walking in place, grapevines, skaters, cha cha, etc. It gets your heart rate up but they are no killer workouts by any means. They work nicely when I don't want to walk outside. Take a look at collegevidoesdvds or totalfitnessdvd for clips.

Doing fine, thanks for asking. I'm in that time during each month where I just bounce up and down a couple of pounds. I've come to terms with my patterns (mostly) and am now anxiously awaiting the 7 - 10 days when I lose like gangbusters, which usually starts a week or so after TOM leaves, so sometime in the next few days it'll start...hopefully. I'm hoping for a really good month of losses, but I'm seeing big differences in my size and profile, so maybe scale losses are not what I should be focusing on so much.

Oh, I know Carol how the hormonal stuff can really affect the scale. I think visable changes are more important the number on the scale. You are doing so wonderful Carol. I always cheer on you!

Yesterday AS was very good. I tried CO for a change. I could not take it between breakfast and lunch due to schedulle, so I took 1 tbl after lunch at 4 PM and then again at 6 PM. Was not hungry for dinner, so I skipped it.
Did 45 min walk

Jenn, it seems that CO has the same appetite suppresion as ghee. CO (virgin one) has lots of flavor but with the swimmer's nose clip I could not taste it. It is so important that you don't taste the flavor, otherwise this will not work. I switched to CO to see if it will take care of TMI issues but nada. Will probably go back to ghee tomorrow.

I could not fit in weight workout today. I have been trying for the past 2 days but could not fit in my schedulle. I did manage 40 min walk this morning. I feel like the walk is very important for me, even if that's all I do for my fitness when I am too busy.

I had great AS all day till I got home from work. I was starving for dinner. I ate salmon with green beans and was still hungry so I ate almond muffin with couple of eggs. Feeling better now. I think this hunger means the TOM is around the corner. Funny, I never eat just 1 muffin during PMS. It would normally be few muffins followed by other high carb bonanza. I did not even liked the taste of the muffin. It was too sweet and blah. Wow, I can't believe it.

Great Marika. I think we have both found that eating more when truly hungry has not hurt us in the least, in fact I think in the long run it reduces the chance of binging.

That's right, Jeanie. Listening to the body is the key. As long as we feed it with lower carb food, it is all good!

I think even if I had something more carby today it would have been more managable than before I went on SLD. I think like this because the almond muffin had honey in it so there were few carbs right there, but it tasted horrible to me. I have honey and yogurt and bunch of fruits in the house but I have no desire for any of these.
