The plan is to do some days with pure protein (VLC) mix with moderate/higher carbs days. DD up to 800 cal if needed. Some weeks with 5:2.

Today I had:
B: x
L: 2 oopsie rolls with sliced tomato and onion
D: roasted turkey breast, cucumber, cottage cheese, strawberries and blackberries

526 cal/40 carbs

Blackberries are magical. I'm very fond of most berry fruits but there's something about raspberries and blackberries that capture seasons.

Good luck, Marika.

Good UD so far. I am really enjoying fruits on JUDDD. That's a beauty of this WOE !!!
Still staying away from honey, it has been 5 days and I don't miss it so far. No binging thoughts

My carbs are little higher today (61), but it is gross, not net. It is probably around 40 net. I think from now on I will start counting net carbs. I am still doing it all by hand. I have list of my staple foods that I usually eat with the carb content, so I just use my calculator every day

I started making yogurt again. I used to make it all the time but got lazy lately. The store bought greek yogurt is so expensive. Even if I use organic/grass-fed milk, it is almost 1/2 price of store bought yogurt. I have yogurt maker so it is very easy to make. After it is done I let it cool and then drip the whey and I got great yummy greek yogurt.

Menu for today:
B: lamb burgers on oopsie rolls with onion, tomato, mayo
L: salad (lettuce, turkey breast, cucumber, tomato, onion, yogurt/mustard/EVOO dressing), cottage cheese with raspberries and blackberries
S: yogurt with fresh fig
D: baked wild salmon, steamed cauliflower, 1 tsp CO

1608 cal/61 gr carbs

I am reading "Younger (Thinner) You Diet". The author talks about using specific food and spices to balance chemicals in the brain and boost metabolism. Very interesting book.

B: 1 HB egg
L: salmon, cucumber
D: turkey, cucumber

367 cal

Good luck with the plan, Marika.

Younger (Thinner) You Diet sounds interesting. Is it ketone-promoting in its recommendations (less glucose in circulation, more of the dietary ketone-promoters)?

SS- it is not ketogenic diet, as it is not low carb diet. Nonetheless very interesting information about spices and foods affecting brain chemicals.

Scale rewarded me with nice woosh this morning 129.4. It is nice to be in 120's again.

Yesterday for the first time I experienced amazing calmness on my DD. I wish I never quit and re-started JUDDD so many times. Silly me, I always give up so fast

Keeping today's UD on the low side of carbs again (20 gr gross). I am too lazy to calculate net carbs. I should probably start tracking it online.
I think I will do another low carb day tomorrow (DD) and than eat slightly higher carbs on Tuesday (UD). I like this carb cycling. It keeps it interesting.

40 min walk this morning. It has been 8 days since I ate honey and I am not having any cravings for carbs

Today's menu

B: lamb burger, scrambled eggs
L: salmon/mayo/onion on oopsie rolls, salad (tomato, cucumber, onion, feta cheese, EVOO), 2 oz of berries
D: turkey/mayo/onion, HB egg on oopsie rolls

1614 cal/20 gross carbs

Thanks for checking on me, Monica.

I have been doing well and for the first time experiencing JUDDD magic: calmness, patience and most important appetite suppression. I hope it is not some temporary thing. I am in the second half of my cycle (tricky time for me) so I can use all JUDDD magic right now

Well, Marika, rest assured that you have your own band of JUDDD-based well-wishers.

I am posting my menu for today. I am so packed after lunch that don't know if I can finish what's planned for dinner. I had to add mac nuts to dinner to meet my calories for the day. It is a lovely problem to have, I will take it, because there could be hungry days in the future

B: lamb burger/mayo on oopsie rolls, blueberries, raspberries, yogurt
L: lamb stir-fried with mushroom and broccoli, cottage cheese with blueberries and raspberries, frozen banana with yogurt made into ice-cream
D: lamb from lunch, tomatoes, cucumber, onion, feta cheese, EVOO, mac nuts

1585 cal/67 gr net carbs

I am stuffed after dinner. I measured 1 oz mac nuts and was little apprehensive. I normally can not stop at 1 oz but today was perfectly satisfied.

I think I need to raise my DD calories slightly. I could not sleep last night, I was half awake half asleep. I was not hungry during the day but at night my stomach was grumbling. I ate about 340 cal yesterday. Maybe I need to eat little more for breakfast on DD, I only had a tsp of CO for breakfast yesterday. I have read that skipping breakfast can affect circadian rhythm. I always eat breakfast but sometimes on DD I try to fast till lunch.

Also having TMI issues for past 2 days. I was hoping for a whoosh on the scale this morning but it may not happen because of TMI, lets see...

I would definetly try upping your DD cals slightly, I used to fast until Dinner time but found because of the meds I have to take that I was a jibbering wreck and no good for anything. Try leave enough cals to have a little something an hour or so before you go to bed, might stop the grumbling tum!

Thanks Gina.

I checked my weight and am down .6 lb after DD. I am sure if TMI department was cooperating it would have been better, but I will take it, at least the number did not go up. Will have to up my magnesium even further.

For the TMI, it's taken a stupid amount of magnesium as well as BRM's unmodified potato starch (PS) to resolve those TMI issues for me.

The PS is an experiment for my gut flora and because I'm tinkering with my WOE so that I can attempt control of the migraines without a pharmaceutical intervention.

I'm only mentioning it here in case it works out and it might be useful for you in the future as some women with the sort of PMS that feeds into other serious issues for them are experimenting with a similar WOE.

Best wishes, Marika.

PS - the moussaka was based on Rick Stein's moussaka recipe for the BBC except I substituted goat for the lamb and used a lot more vegetable (I chunked some aubergine and mixed it in with the meat and I only had one layer of aubergine slices, underneath the topping sauce.)

I will check the recipe for moussaka. It sounds delicious. Thank you
