WOE: my version of healthy diet mixed with JUDDD :)
I had a good DD today. I stayed strong all day. After dinner the craving for yogurt appeared but I was able to talk myself out if it. It is not easy, but I can do it. I am re-reading Brain Over Binge. When I first read the book I could not apply the ideas into practice. Sometimes I need to read the book twice for things to register in my mind. I am also re-reading Atkins book. I usually read 2 books at the same time, I know it sounds funny

It is raining cats and dogs here in CT. I did not do my walk today. Hopefully tomorrow. It also got quite chilly (mid 50s) so I had to turn the heat on in the car on the way from work. I am usually cold on DD, but come on it is June!

It's of no practical help to you but you're in my thoughts.

This non-stop struggle sounds exhausting and must be such a drain on your physical and emotional resources.

Best wishes.

It seems like I can't win the battle with carbs. I caved in again Just one bite leads to total binge. Why can't I stay away from that first bite. I don't know what to do anymore. I had all the low carb food prepared so there was no excuse. The cravings won. I feel like a carboholic.

Decided to stop JUDDD till I get the binge monster out of my system. Will be doing LC for the time being. I just don't want to get stressed out over DD when I am trying to get into ketosis to control the cravings.

I'm so you are struggling Marika.

What happened last time in ketosis? Do the cravings go away? Can you maintain it comfortably?

Hope- I think I can. I just have to get through first couple of weeks and than the cravings will go away. When I first went on atkins I stayed on it for 3 months and did not binge at all. In fact I never binged till I started doing JUDDD. Yes, I had strong PMS cravings and I was over-eating for few days before TOM but never in my life had I experienced what is happening now (total loss of control over carbs, eating and eating till my stomach can't take it). When I went on JUDDD and increased the carbs at the same time the binging started. Maybe if did JUDDD low carb from day one I would have been OK. I know that I can still do JUDDD low carb but not now. When the binging is under control, I will try JUDDD 5:2 or 6:1. I don't think my body is made for every other day calorie restriction. It looks like I am trying too hard to make this work (this was my 4th attempt with JUDDD). I also feel that restricting carbs and restricting calories every other day it too much. I think 1-2 days a week fasting can have great health benefits without being too restrictive.

Hope, I am sticking to meat and eggs today. I think the key for me is to eat till I am satisfied. M & E usually suppresses my appetite naturally.

Sounds smart to focus on just one plan at the moment, Marika. I too am staying lower carb lately. Just sort of happened at first, but then I started feeling so great that I've been trying harder to do it consciously. Good luck with this plan!

Thank you LCG! Good luck for you as well. You are so close to onederland. I have a feeling that keeping JUDDD LC will bring you there very soon!

I'm feeling a bit rough as there's nowhere I can sit or lie on my body that isn't already swollen and bruised or has the deeper muscular bruising now emerging. I tend to experience a lot of side-effects with pain relief so like to keep it to the minimum. I'm irritated that this may well take weeks for the swelling to go down and months for the bruising to pass off but these things happen.

I wish you equanimity and manageable days.

Hi Gina! I am doing well, thank you for asking. I have been eating VLC for the past 2 days and have zero cravings. I just have to stick with this even if the cravings re-appear (I know they might).

BTW, I love you new avi

After 3 days of no carbs, I was cravings some carbs today. I was able to stay away from honey which seems to be the biggest trigger for me. Probably ate more fruits than I should have but at least I did not binge. I am sure If I ate honey, I would be still eating. Back to very low carb tomorrow.
I think having the carb re-feed every few days may work for me, as long as I don't eat honey. I tried it before but I ate honey so the re-feeds back fired on me. I also think that having my carbs in the evening works better. When I eat the carbs during the day they increase my cravings. I just ordered "Night Carb Solution" book, it is about low carb all week with evening re-feed at the end of the week. Sounds interesting and very much doable. I should have it in 2 days.

Have you thought about a gluten intolerance or wheat intolerance, I only ask because people usually crave the things that do their body the most harm, aka alcohol, drug, caffeine and even wheat. I don't know was just a thought...

Hi Repto
I stopped eating wheat many years ago. I am 100% grain free. But you do have a good point. I might be allergic or sensitive to honey and that's shy I am craving it. Well, I have been 5 days honey-free. I just have to keep it this way.

Thanks LCG. I just have to keep it away from them.

Today, I am really craving DD. I don't know why Maybe my body got used to having DDs. I really miss the lightness and clear mind I get on DD. I will try to have one today. I know, I know, I am confusing my poor little body. If only I could keep away from triggers... I could do it.

I will be doing a little experiment for the next 2 weeks with my diet starting today. I will not be logging my result (so that I don't jinx myself).

See you in 2 weeks my friends

It's good to keep your body confused once it catches on to a pattern like juddd might be unwilling to cooperate as well, good job on grain free it has made a difference in my life just going gluten free for 5 weeks, I feel so much better!!!
