Just wanted to check in and see how you are doing? I noticed that you are not taking very much of the Lantus. I take 15 units per night. How much have you upped it to? Hope it's helping

Cfine Thanks for asking. I upped it to 6 units but think I am going to try 7. Doctor never called me back so I am doing this on my own. Still taking the metformin.

Last nights dinner was salad with cucumber and Ranch.
B Cup of tea HWC and Splenda
Lunch Steak and salad with some fried pickles and ranch.
S 2 sugar free chocolate pudding with whipped cream.

I am consuming more carbs that I thought. can't eat fried pickles or sugar free chocolate pudding I ate 2 today and that was 28 carbs. Need to stick to Jello. I am soooo hungry today

I had a piece of chicken before bed last night. This morning BS was 170. Weight 230.
I upped the Lantus to 6 units. Not enough. Tonight going up to 7. Doctor called my work number not my cell so I am still awaiting another call. Can't believe I am saying this but I can't wait for my appointment next month. Wedding is Saturday. I am going to try to stay on plan for the most part but I am going to share in eating a piece of cake. Hopefully I can hold it to just a bite. That is unrealistic for me. It's all or nothing.

I don't know whats going on with my sugars. Going to start 7 units tonight for 3 days and go from there. That's what doctor said. I didn't tell her that I was going to do it anyway. Even my day time sugars have been higher. Maybe it is because I am not eating much or it feels like I am not eating much. The steak yesterday I only had about 4 bites. Brought the reat to work with me today. I am a little down about all this bloodsugar nonsense. I know it will work out eventually and I have lost 17 pounds. This week 14 for me. I think I am just overwhelmed. The wedding is Saturday. The Ex will be there which I don't care but sometimes he can be really rude and so can his kids. Or the kids will be super friendly and I very much dislike phony people. Just need to grin and bare it for the day. They aren't really kids they are in there 30'S. Company coming in on Friday. Thursday daughter and I are going to get nails done and I am going to highlight my hair.

Last night before bed had sausage and eggs with salsa and cheese. This morning BS was 167. Weight was 231.6 WTH?
B 2 cups of tea HWC and Splenda 3 boiled eggs and 2 sausage patties
L 8 meatballs in low carb sphagetti sauce and cucmber slices Diet Snapple
S Sunflower seeds and Sugar free Koolaid
D ?

Never thought of that Cfine. You are right.
I am taking 3 extra days off for company and the wedding on Saturday. Thursday I am going to check out the Y for exercise. I really want to start doing weight training.

Dinner last night was sausage mixed with eggs, salsa and cheese and SF Jello. Blood sugar was 128. Getting better. Upped the Lantus to 7 units. Weight was 230.6
B 1 cup Tea Sausage mixed with eggs, salsa and cheese.
L Meatballs with LC marinara sauce and Diet Pepsi

I am off until Tuesday. YAY! Saturday is the wedding. Tomorrow going for a pedicure/manicure. Need to buy groceries. Daughter and I will go out to lunch.

Haven't been here for awhile. The day before daughters wedding I had company and my friend was like Oh just eat whatever. You can start back after I leave. The first day I tried and I already decided that I was going to have a piece of wedding cake. Anyway I went on a 4 day binge and of course I am paying the price. I am back on plan but my sugars are out of sight. I got my books and I am reading Blood Sugar 101. I also got Dr. Bernsteins book. Blood sugar 101 is very interesting.

I am feeling kinda down today. I should be happy that I have lost 18 pounds and my clothes aren't tight. Actually had to buy some new because my pants are starting to fall off. I am happy my baby is back from her honeymoon. Her husbands car got stolen while they were gone. Of course he just paid off the car and dropped full coverage.

Well down to 231 this morning. bs was 142 fasting. Slowly but surely it is coming down. Tonight upping Lantus to 14 units. Glad for a 3 day weekend.
B 2 boiled eggs 2 cups tea Hwc And Splenda
L 6 grilled chicken tenders cucumbers and avacado with a few pork skins Diet Dr. Pepper.

you can do it. maybe drink more water. I tell myself if I drink my two bottles of water then i can have my diet sodas and teas.

Hi Newlife.

I am terrible at drinking water. I did drink 2 bottles yesterday. BS this morning was 131. Weight 231.
B Tea HWC Splenda 2 cups
L 1lb hamburger patty(Fudruckers) Side salad with ranch Coke Zero.
D Rotissirie chicken and a cucumber Diet Pepsi.
Mowed the acre for 2 1/2 hours. Finally finished. Got the oil changed on the car and tires rotated. Did some laundry. And scrubbed the bathroom.

BS this morning 121. W 229

I can't seen to stop eating today. Didn't have breakfast except my usual tea. Took daughter to lunch at red robin. Had a 2 hamburger patties with guacamole, pickles and swiss with ice tea and a salad. Got home was hungry so I had pork skins and 2 sugar free ice cream bars and some sugar free vanilla ice cream with sugar free chocolate syrup.
Why do I do this to myself?

BS this morning was 142. Up to 14 units of Lantus. W 232. I keep going up and down. I read somewhere that the 3rd week and 3rd month are the hardest. This would be my 3rd month. Went for a 30 minute walk this morning.
B 2 cups of tea HWC Splenda 2 boiled eggs.
L grilled hamburger patty. 1 sl swiss cheese 1 dill pickle slice, 1 grilled italian sausage, 1 cucumber with ranch
D 5 chicken soft tacos(del taco) minus tortilla and iced tea.

Down to 227 today. BS have been staying steady in the 130's. Still not where I want them to be but it is getting lower. At least under 140. I have upped the Lantus to 15 units. Doc says it is ok at 14 units but I disagree. I haven' been to good about journaling. Tomorrow off to Colorado Springs and I probably won' stick to LC. Actually I know I won't but I get right back on Sunday. Only going to be gone 1 day. I know I will pay the piper by my weight but I love Black Eyed Pea and we don't have one here.

B 2 bolied eggs and 3 cups tea HWC and Splenda
L Roasted chicken and 1/2 a cucumber diet pepsi

I have upped the lantus to 16 units. BS this morning was 127. Getting better. I have doctor appointment on Friday. First time I have ever been excited to go for my 3 month checks. I am curious to see what the weight difference is since I was there in June. I had not started this WOE at the time. My weight is back up to 229.4 but of course I had a binge for 2 days. My clothes are all getting to big. I love this. I am wearing clothes that I have not worn in 2 years. I am definetly going to have to buy some new jeans before it gets colder. I love this idea. I do have a couple of pair that I can actually wear again size 20. I can't wait to be a 14.

I am still down 16 pounds. I have been down to 227.4 at the lowest. Tonight I am upping the Lantus to 18 units. Doctor was impressed with the weight loss. She said to keep it up. She thinks I am being obsessive about blood sugars and A1c. I told her I would like to be at a 5.0 and she said it wasn't recommended for someone on medication.
I told her maybe I can get off of medication then. she had no reply to that. My cholesterol is a little high at 203 but HDL, LDL, and Tryglycerides were normal. A1c was 7.4. I am hoping it will go down when I go back in December. I am a little frustrated today as far as weight loss goes. This is week 12 for me. But I have had a few cheat days. It is so hard for me to keep under 20 grams of carbs per day. I usually go over by 5 or 10. I am not willing to give up my Splenda though. I bought a new pair of pants size 20 and a blouse 2X. I am averaging pounds a month so far. Going to the fair on Thursday and I am not going to be good.

Well last night I figured I wasn't losing weight anyway and went to my favorite Cracker Barrel. I ate grilled chicken tenders wrapped in bacon, green beans and fried okra and then went on to have pumpkin custard with ginger snaps. It was soooo good. Tomorrow going to the fair and I doubt I will stick to plan.

Just not caring what I eat right now. Need to get off this. I have been eating kettle corn. Glad it's gone. Today I ate Blakes with a double meat burger and seasoned fries and it wasn't even that good. What is wrong with me. BS this morning was 150 and weight is up to 231.2

If this was just about weight loss, it would be a different story, but this is your life you're talking about. I just have to tell myself that I don't eat certain things because I don't want to lose my feet, eyes, etc. This is real. I have seen my Grandmother lose both of her legs to diabetes. I know a lady right now that just lost her leg to uncontrolled diabetes and she is young.

You can do this!! You have done so good. I know it's hard at times, but it's worth it, YOU are worth it!!

Back at it today W 231.6 BS 185. Doctor had me start doing Lantus in the morning to see how that works but, my eating has been terrible so it's hard to tell.
B flax muffin with cream cheese, 2 cups of tea HWC and splenda
L Turkey sandwich made with l/c bread, swiss cheese and mayo. i med cucumber and diet snapple
S string cheese
D? Probably some pepperoni chips with cheese and diet pepsi

All this still 26 carbs so hard to stay under 20. I have decided not to weigh every day. I will weigh on Mondays and see how that goes. I am still wearing size 20 pants and 2X shirts. Very happy about that. Still not exercising but I know I really need too.

W 227.4 BS 158 WTH

Last night BS was 93 at bed. I ate 1 cup of shelled pistachios and this is the reading I get. Yesterday was 130. I did drop a couple of pounds. I think tomorrow I will go pick up my free pass at the Y. Really need to get my butt in gear. Most of my clothes are baggy. I don't want to buy a lot of new clothes but I can't stand wearing balloon pants. I am losing my butt(thats a first) and my thighs. Now I have jello thighs. Down 19 pounds.

Finally I think I have my blood sugars where I want them. This AM was 103. Could come down a little more but I am happy with this. Today my BS was highest at 124. That is really good for me.

going to the mall after work to look at clothes at JC Penney. All of my pants are baggy in the legs and butt. Really noticeable and is driving me crazy. Happy shopping.

W 227.4 BS 145 Not sure why. Upped the lantus to 25. Have been feeling kind of down. Finally picked up my pass at the Y. Today is sons B-day. Going to his house after work. I think tomorrow I will start with the exercise. My lowest weight was 226.8 but keep going up and down.

BS 140 W 227.8 I am a foodaholic. I have been on a 4 day binge. Up 3 pounds. I don't know why I do this. It seems I do this about every other month. At least I am seeing a pattern. Just need to figure out why?
