Really??? I am up to 238.6. Sugar was 147 this AM and 124 before going to bed. Even gave up Fried okra sunday because I figured I would gain. I know the scale won't go down every day but sheesh at least stay the same. Went to water areobics this morning.
Breakfast 4 slices of pepper bacon a flax muffin and 2 cups of tea with splenda and heavy cream.

My weight goes up and down over a few pounds over the course of the week. I try to do my "official" weight on Thursday so I can make sure I'm actually making progress. It's perfectly normal to be up a pound or two because of water weight.

BS this morning 136 and before bed 121. I am not sure dropping to one glipizide instead of 4 is a good idea. Will call doctor and see if I can take 2 one in the morning and one at night. Had sausage and egss when I got home form work last night. I don't get home until 9:00 PM and eat lunch at 3:30 so most of the time I am hungry. I am back down to 236.4. I had 2 cups of tea for breakfast with splenda and 1/2 a flax muffin. 4 bbq chicken tenders with lc bbq sauce(home made) Ranch and 1 cuccumber, diet cream soda.

BS before bed. 154 and this morning 153. Yesterday I did eat 3 sf candies with Splenda but I thought these didn't impact BS. I need to stop eating when I get home from work but I am hungry. Last night I had pepper bacon and 3 bolied eggs with diet snapple. This morning in a hurry and didn't take metformin. My BS had been coming down and now it is rising. Guess I will call doctor and see what she says. So far today I have had 2 bolied eggs and 5 slices of pepper bacon. Maybe I need to give up the bacon and go back to sausage. At 2:00 PM BS was 159. I am going to eat in a bit. Will have cheeseburger pie and a cucumber with diet snapple.

BS this morning 138 and at 0400 it was 122. Still at 235.8 Last night I made cinnamon pork rinds and chocolate pork rinds. Oh sooo good. This morning I had 2 cups of cafe francais and 3 bolied eggs. Definetly have to give up the cafe francais. Made BS go up by 50 points. I try not to have it but I won't have it any more. I have been drinking this for 20+ years and tea I like but just doesn't do it for me. They make a sugar free vanilla but I don't like.

Yesterdays lunch was a few bites of steak, 3 bbq chicken tenders, green beans and some cucumber with diet pepsi. Had a few slices of cucumber before bed. BS this AM was 143. Down to 235. Breakfast was 2 boiled eggs and 3 sausage patties. Lunch was hamburger pie and cucumber with diet orange cream. Snack a diet snapple. Probably won't eat dinner. Haven't been hungry.

Morning BS 134. Breakfast this morning was low carb pancakes (2) and 2 cups of tea with splenda and heavy cream. Snack 2 slices of fried cheese. I cooked some hamburgers, made a meatloaf, and made some Taco meat for taco salad. I am not hungry at all today. Feel really full.

Last night I had Taco salad for dinner. Ate a carbsmart fudgesicle and 2 boiled eggs wit a diet cream soda. This morning BS was 174. WTH? Breakfast was a cup of tea with splenda and heavy cream, 1 slice of bacon. Lunch Chicken tenders 2 sides of green beans and 1 side of okra tea with splenda(Cracker Barrel). Dinner 1 piece of breaded fried chicken, 1 side of green beans and 1 side of okra, tea with splenda(Cracker Barrel) Can you tell I like cracker barrel? LOL! Weight this morning was 235.4. Wedding is only 2 weekends away.

BS this morning was 169. Called doctor but she hasn't called back. Weight is still 235.4 but I have lost 6 inches off the waist and I feel really good. Breakfast was 4 slices of bacon, 2 boiled eggs, 2 cups of tea with splenda and heavy cream. Lunch was 2 hamburger patties and some cucumbers with a diet snapple. I haven't been hungry at all today. Try not to eat if I am not hungry, but I am wondering if that is why blood sugar is so high in the morning. I am reading Atkins diabetes revolution again and I want to buy a book by Dr. Bernstein and also Blood sugar 101. Barnes and noble didn't have it. Maybe I will order on Amazon.

Yeah! I don't think so either. I think it's the dawn phenomena. I woke up at 0300 and it was 104 and when I got up to go to work it was 154. Still waiting for call back from doctor. Still at 235.4 but I am good with that. Sorry if anyone is reading this but finally pooped in I don't know how many days. I do eat the flax muffins at least twice a week.
Breakfast was 1 cup of tea with HWC and Splenda, 2 boiled eggs, and 4 slices of bacon. I had a diet orange cream soda. For lunch I had meatloaf and some cucumbers with salt and pepper and a diet snapple that I am still drinking.

HWC is heavy whipping cream. I don't think that's the problem. Do you have a journal? I have looked but don't see one.

BS this AM was 158. Doctor still hasn't called me back. Down to 233.2. I am really not hungry today. Breakfast was a flax muffin with butter and 2 cups of tea with Splenda and HWC. Ate 1 cucumber and a diet snapple. Going out to dinner at Texas Road house.
Will have steak, salad with ranch and green beans. Tomorrow is my birthday. Going to try real hard not to cheat. It is so hard not to reward yourself with food. LOL! I have already told everyone not to get me a cake. Taking the day off from work tomorrow. I am down 13 pounds. I feel great if I could just get that morning blood sugar down.

So glad to see that you have lost 13 pounds! That is great. I am taking a long acting insulin at night and it has helped my fasting blood sugar to be in the normal range. I highly recommend it.

Hello, I am also a Diabetic and it sounds like your sugar is spiked in the mornings pretty much even on medication? I certainly hope you can talk to your doctor soon about it

& good job on telling your family not to serve cake!

on releasing 13 pounds from your body!

Sugar this morning was 143. Still no call from the doctor. Turned 53 today. Took the day off. Didn't stay on plan. Had cup of tea for breakfast with HWC and Splenda. Lunch was 1/2 a meatball sub from Dions, potato chips and 1 slice of pizza, Diet Dr. Pepper. I thought oh my this is going to be soooo good. Sitting there eating and in my mind I am thinking, I could have just as well ate a salad and topping off the pizza and been happy. Not beating myself up for it although I know I will see it on the scale. Today just really hit home for me that I know I can do this and I don't need bread and all the sweet stuff. I did have a piece of sugar free pie with sugar free ice cream at Cracker Barrel and a glass of tea. 2 hours after eating(not the pie) my BS was 145. I also had 2 slices of pizza and a diet cherry coke for dinner. It is storming here thunder, lightening and the lights keep flickering so off to bed I go to read more of the Atkins diabetes book. I have read it before( not all of it). This time I am reading from beginning to end. Today was a wonderful day.

Totally off plan. I need to nip this in the bud now. I went off on Thursday and then yesterday I was fine until we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. I see I need to break this plan of Cracker Barrel. I had grilled chicken tenders, green beans and 1 side of okra but then I had sugar free apple pie with cool whip on top. I guess I could say at least it was sugar free but it makes me crave carbs. Today I had some running around to do and I was so hungry. Stopped at KFC and of course ate chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese and 2 rolls. I just want to scream. I know I can do this. When I check my BS in the morning and its high when I have eaten like I am suppose to I think oh well what the hell my BS is still the same and this is not the right way to think.
Get back to it Salazar

No she never did. Finding a new doctor easier said than done. I work for a hospital so we have to go to the doctors in our hospital. Employee or not most of the doctors don't take new patients. My sugar has only been high in the morning. Earlier today after eating it was 73. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, cheese and salsa. Lunch was the same. Dinner was a chicken breast with a home made sauce that I made with heavy cream, butter and parmasan cheese(wrong spelling). I also had a sugar free pudding and whipped topping.

I am getting really mad. This doctor not calling me back. Just because she thinks I am not serious about the BS issue. Wether I am or not I would think she would or could call me back. I am serious this time but I am getting discouraged. I can't get my morning number down. At 0300 it was 125 and when I got up at 0930 it was 165 which makes it harder to bring down in the day. Before I ate lunch it was 132. I will take it again at the 2 hour mark. Well just left another message for the doctor. We will see if I get a phone call. Grrr! I am so damn mad.

Finally today at least got a call from the nurse. She had to discuss it with doctor and call me back. Wonder if I will have to wait another week. 233.2 BS was 175 this morning. For dinner I made 2 flaxmeal pancakes with sf syrup and had 3 sausage patties with 1/2 of a diet pepsi.

B 2 cups of sf vanilla coffee and 3 boiled eggs
L chicken breast with home meade alfredo sauce and a cucumber diet snapple.
Not sure what dinner will be if I am hungry.
Going to check my BS at 1630 to see what it is after eating. Before lunch was 116.


2 hours after lunch BS was 90

Last nights dinner was 2 Low carb burgers from Carls Jr. Craving ice cream and had 2 carbsmart ice cream bars. This morning sugar was 202. Darn it is just going up and up. Not sure if it is that dawn thing or the malitol in the ice cream. I see made with Splenda and don't think about the other sugar alcohols. Still at 233.2 but thats ok. I would really like to be at 226.8 by the end of August. This is week 6 for me. Starting Lantus tonight and I am very nervous about it. It;'s not because of the shot because I used to be on Byetta so I have no problem with doing that. Stopping glipizide for now unti I see what the Lantus is going to do. I pray this works for my morning sugars. If I can just get this down my sugars will be really good. I need to start exercising again and also I need to start drinking water. I just don't drink very much period or my stomach feels all sloshy.

B 2 cups of tea with Splenda and HWC and 3 boiled eggs.
L Pork Roast with Au Jus and green beans with butter.
D ?

BS 90 minutes after eating was 133. I did eat a whole can of green beans. Ouch!

Last nights dinner was 3 slices of bacon and a sf pudding with whip cream.
Started Lantus last night and thought I would wake up with a decent blood sugar. Although it wasn't 202 it was 154. Still not good. I did drink 16 oz of water. Yay go me! I never usually drink water. I am trying to get to the 64 oz. Still at 233.2 but thats ok at least there is no gain. Breakfast was a baby quiche. Snack was 5 slices of bacon.
Lunch was pork roast and fries green beans diet orange soda.
Dinner?

This Am BS the same at 154. Called the doctor again to see if I could up it 1 but no call back. I think I am going to do it anyway tonight. Weight was down to 230. Yeehaw! 3 days of scale not moving and dropped 3.2.

After eating last night my sugar went up to 190. I have eaten the fried okra before and that has never happened but lesson learned won't be eating anymore of it unless I fry it myself without breading. At 0430 my BS was 126 and when I got up at 10:00 it was 158. Tonight I am going to up the Lantus to 6. Doctor didn't call me back yesterday. Weight this morning is 229.8 and I am excited. Only 3 pounds to go to make my July goal. I think it is really possible. Well the wedding is next weekend so I need to get my butt busy and get this house cleaned up.
