Hi Maggie! I would love to get to the movies! My DH and I both read the Jack Reacher book and are dying to see the movie with Tom Cruise. We just can't seem to find time between all of the kid's activities. Great job on staying on plan!!!

MIL got it right this past Christmas in purchasing hubby and I a movie gift card. We it. There is something about seeing a movie on the BIG screen. The Jack Reacher movie looks interesting to me also and love the scene in the trailer when Tom Cruise gets out of his running car and allows it to drive itself into a group of police cars trying to block him while he disappears into the crowd of people. I am not familiar with the story but get some of it off of the trailer so that maybe will have to be a must see for us. Any time at the movie theatre for us is a great time. Now, the next time I WILL pass up on the popcorn and just eat the nuts I bring. It is hard to do when we with our rewards program get free popcorn, pop and even movie tickets. I hit the jackpot at Christmas and got 2 free movie tickets, 2 free medium popcorn and 2 medium pops. My youngest was with us when we went to see The Hobbit and the both of them enjoyed a free ticket as well as munchies(I passed on the couple of handfuls of popcorn that day, I was good that day ).

Anyhow I hope you can get to the movies soon.

Glad you enjoyed Zero Dark Thirty. I liked it alot. Girl power, I say! Jack Reacher was really good, but then, I have never read any of the books. The apparent consensus of book fans is that Tom Cruise has no business playing Jack Reacher as he is nothing like the written character physically. I guess when you're the big star who's actually producing it you get to decide if you get the starring role, huh??? I went with zero expectations and loved it....but, I also love Tom Cruise.

Nothing like the written character, really! Yes, I guess if he produced it he got the starring role. I actually used to date a guy that resembled Tom Cruise and it was funny because his name was Tom Gross. True story, really true. He definitely was a cutie but it wasn't meant to be for us and now I got a guy who looks like Ryan Gosling(well this isn't true but he is Ryan to me ). Oh the movies, gotta them.

I hear you about chocolate and popcorn, great combo but not so great on my BS or my diet.

Morning Maggie!

I'll have to try the M&M's and popcorn And definitely, in the Jack Reacher book - Tom Cruise's character is 6'-2", big, and burly???? Kind of hard to picture him that way? I like Tom Cruise movies though so I'm sure he'll do a great job.

Hope you have a great day!

Good morning Maggie, I'm mentally preparing to start exercising this weekend. You and Deb are very encouraging. I want to be in shape and toned when I go on vacation because I know what it feels like to go on vacation when you're out of shape and overweight. That's actually what prompted me to do the protocol. So I will join the walking/treadmill challenge. I was actually thinking of maybe doing C25K. I remember doing this years ago and being able to run for 20 min straight, which for me was a HUGE accomplishment. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Good morning Shar! I understand getting mentally prepared for exercising but once I get started I really do enjoy it. I am a crazy girl. Wow, 20 minutes straight of running is fantastic. I can only do 5 minute spurts of running on the treadmill and I go back into a walk. I have not attempted any running yet, but will down the road when I lose some weight so it won't be too hard on my joints. Any kind of exercise is better than none but I know how hard it is to get back into it. I have a treadmill at home and I have come up with tooo many excuses as to why I haven't gotten any exercise in but pure laziness on my part and then I wonder why I huff and puff going up and down stairs. Find an exercise you like and it will be easy, kind of hard if you don't care to do any believe you me I understand this.

Have a good day as well!

Happy Saturday, Maggie! Yes, you're very motivating, wonderful!! Deb~congrats to you too!! It doesn't have to be a 'real' bike it still allows you to mimic the same as riding outside.

Thanx Deb, need all the luck I can get this monthly thing is getting to me. On, off 2 months no show than whammy show! I know you've been through it so I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. I still got up at 5:45 this morning and walked my mile, pretty proud of myself for that. It is a good thing I don't plan to weigh myself until the 1st of Feb. So far the cravings are not too bad but it is my first day so we shall see how I fair. I have been eating alot of FAT in hopes that it will keep the carb monster and the crazy head talk that goes on in my head to eat off plan. Thanks for stopping bye.

Thank you Melanie for the support and yes Aunt Flo should just pack her bags now and leave. Oh well, will grin and bare it.

Got in a mile walk this morning but did not want to get out of my warm comfy bed. The wind has been howling and the temperature has dropped and it looks like we will be getting some snow by the end of the week. My feet last night were soooo swollen, retaining water so I need to chug lots more down today. Hubby is off work today and is taking his mother to the doctor's to have her feet checked, she had surgery over a year and half ago and her one foot is just not the same. I am glad that hubby was home to take her because she can make into an all day event for me and with TOM in the house I am never good company for anyone. Well sitting here having some coffee and waiting to get warm enough.

Have a good Monday!
