HA! I have heard great things about the apple pie one - that and the vanilla one. I'll have to try those.

I am so disappointed today. I was all excited to weigh myself, just knowing that I would be down at least a pound! Unfortunately I am up two. Not sure what's going on there other than TOM is right around the corner.
The scale is a harsh mistress at times.

I lost my mind yesterday and ate everything that was no nailed down. M&Ms, large sugar filled drink from Starbucks, random junk throughout the day.

I am convinced that it's all due to the pau d'arco - the anti-yeast herb I switched to on Friday. I believe that I am experiencing massive die-off and that the yeast are SCREAMING to be fed, which I unfortunately did.

My plan is to get some l-glutamine to get through these nasty and all-consuming cravings until this phase passes. It's awful

I was off Saturday and Sunday so you are not alone! while I didn't go totally crazy, it was enough to make me feel it.

What's the new supp you're taking, never heard of it?

Hi Dani,

It's supposed to be good for killing those yeastie-beasties as well as a number of other things. I've been feeling it more than the OoO, that's for sure.
The crazy cravings have slowed down thank goodness.

I still plan to get up early each day and work out before work, but as of yet, it hasn't happened.
I disappoint myself sometimes.

I'm cycling my anti-fungals in the hopes that they will work better.
Who knows if they actually will, but that's what I am doing anyway!

Gah, TOM is here.
That explains some of why I've been crazy with my eating and carb cravings.

Back up on that wagon!
We have a biometric screening at work tomorrow - if we participate we get a certain $ amount off of our insurance so you know I am right in there.
We will see how my labs come back. I already know they will tell me I am overweight!

Well, I'm back again.
K and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary last week, and that started me down a slippery slope that landed me face first into a pile of carbs.
Weight this morning was 193

I changed my anti-fungal to grapeseed extract. I think that the pau d'arco was really messing with my system - maybe too string and was causing crazy, out of control cravings. For now, I'm going to stick with my CO, rotating my anti-fungals, and diatomaceous earth every day. That and strict low carb makes me feel great and I need to remember that when looking at a cupcake.

Sunday, P,K and I went for a loooong walk in the nearby nature preserve and I did a half-hour of a strength training video last night. I really want to make these changes and although I keep sliding, I need to do my best to stay on track.

One good news piece - did biometric screening at work and they no longer consider me obese! I'm just a hair under, making me overweight. Who knew that would sound so good! (That's their calculator. With every other calculator, I'm still obese).

Happy belated anniversary! Today's mine and dh's.. time sure has flown!

The extra weight will disappear quickly, you sound like you are well on your way!

I kinda messed up my weekend, not too badly but enough that the scale hasn't moved at all. So, back at it today now that I have dh outta my hair!

OMG Dani, it's so amazing!
There could be so many variations that I could think of - peanut butter, vanilla, raspberry ....

The batch I made, following the directions to a T in the recipe attached above, came to 3 servings - 48 calories and 4 carbs each serving.
SO much better than caving for real fudge!

Quick Question!

Contemplating either a gluten intolerance and/or yeast overgrowth for DD16... the gluten thing I think I can figure out..but for the yeast thing I dunno how I'd treat her?? Do you know or have you read anything regarding teens using supps to treat overgrowth??? I'm having her do the spit test first thing tomorrow morning and go from there.. We've already had the come-to-jesus-sit-down about the seriousness of changing her diet so I think she knows what's coming down the pike. She fits many markers so I'm questioning her having what I have!

I'm not sure how one would treat a teen with a yeast overgrowth. Definitely the dietary changes first. Why not add CO to her diet? Maybe DE too? Those things won't do any harm for sure.

In a bit of a funk today. My birthday is coming up and I'll be 44. I feel old and fat and frumpy.
K is also going out of town on business for 3 weeks on Monday, so I'm down about that too. Last night at the grocery store it was tough not to reach for carbs but I managed.

Aw I'm sorry you're in a mood, honey! I can so relate to the birthday stuff...mine's in Sept and I'll be 44 too..and i feel the same exact way.. We gotta keep plugging away and putting together all those little successes to equal a giant one in the end! We can do it!

Hang in there, and remember that no amount of carby stuff is going to help your endeavor. On plan, on track, and moving forward will get you to where you want to go!

Aw hun I am 44 it is not that bad, I will be 45 in Sept, good grief 50 is getting close!!! Yeah on you and K being together 8 years! It is such a struggle Janet I am fighting like crazy I dont know how I lost all this weight and now it is like so hard to budge but it will continue to be a life long struggle for sure!!! Just keep plugging!!! I think a lot of it is age and hormones, etc. We can do it, it is just going to take time and be a royal pain, but I saw what happens when I let things go so that doesnt work!!!!

Amber, you can do this. As a matter of fact, you already did it! So you can definitely do it again!

My birthday today and I am sick as a dog. I think I have the stomach flu or some kind of bug and it's not at all fun.

K left for 3 weeks of training in Chicago this morning so I am single for a month!
My big plans are: sleeping ...

That's all I have so far.

I've been out with the stomach flu this past week. It's been going around at work and it was my turn. I think I might be the only person who could gain weight while having stomach flu, but apparently I did.
I could only stomach crackers, grilled cheese, and toast - all things I shouldn't be eating!

Back on the wagon.

Ok, weight this morning was 189.
That's my re-re-re-starting point.

Today my menu is:
B - coffee w/ hwc
L- chicken broth, 2 hardboiled eggs
D - sweet italian sausage pan fried in butter, broccoli

S - erythritrol fudge

Cals - about 1200
Carbs - about 18

This stomach thing will not go away. With all the bathroom trips yesterday you think I would have lost a pound, but it's still hanging on.
