I have been eating very clean this week, other than my carbapalooza earlier this week. I don't expect to see a loss, but would love it if I didn't gain too much.

Thanks Dani
BTW, you have inspired me to take more of an active plan against candida. I've been using the DE, and taking my CO every day, but I'm adding oil of oregane plus a good probiotic to hopefully put a dent in it.

I'm so glad, Janet! I hope that you get to feeling 1000%. That oil of oregano is some potent stuff..yikes! Definitely felt it working even the first night I took it...it makes me sleepy!

Have a great weekend!

Gah, I feel crappy today. It's the candida die off, I know it. Started my oil of oregano, probiotics, and continuing my CO and DE.
My face has broken out overnight as well.

On a high note - I didn't gain as much as I thought from last weekend carbapalooza - only up one pound after eating clean all week!

I'm sorry you're feeling bad! How much oil of oregano do you take?Everytime I take the OoO my skin gets super itchy and the places where I had uber dry spots get flaky and come off..sounds ick I know! But the good part about it is my skin is starting to feel & look better!! I started to break out the first couple days I took it but now it's clearing. I get a tad tired from it but nothing like exhausted like I've read lots of people feeling. I also have opted for taking mine after dinner in case I do start to feel really bad. I haven't started my CO or probiotics yet, was giving the OoO time to do it's thing first..

So glad that the gain wasn't as much as you feared. Keep it up, chicky!!

I'm taking three capsules a day, I'm not sure the amount in each capsule.
I know all this is temporary and am so looking forward to feeling better!

Is that the serving size on your bottle? Mine says 1 a day. Maybe it's due to potency? Kinda freaked me out reading about just how brutal oil of oregano can be and I do not want to overdo anything.. then I get to thinking, what if I'm not taking enough.. It's always something!!

I have the Solaray brand, 150 mg per softgel. Says I can take 1 to 3 a day. I'm going for three just to jumpstart this whole process. I found a great blog that I'm not sure if I can link to about the author's journey with candida (If you google journey with candida blog, it will pop up) who had great success rotating anti-fungal supplements so that's my plan.

1 week on oil of oregano
1 week on pau d'arco
1 week on grapeseed oil

and so on, at least until I run out.

So you're taking up to 450mg of OoO! Wowzers! I read somewhere there's a particular %amount that supposed to be included in each dose, but I can't find it again..dangit.. I just don't want to poison myself

One of my docs (the one who is into holistic ) wants me to start on Lauriciden. Reading up on it, found it helps with candida too. May help you too.

I've just been having weird symptoms over the weekend that I am contributing to candida die-off. My legs have been cramping like crazy, my tummy has been super gurgle-y, and I woke up all broken out this morning.

No fun at all.

Last night we went to a lovely Passover dinner at a friend's house. We live in a predominately Jewish area, and it was nice celebrating and learning about the holiday.

Probably ate too many carbs but I did eat ok so no stress there. And because nothing can have flour, it was all gluten free by default!

K's brother and family are visiting us. Fine in itself but their two sons are staying with us for two nights (last night and tonight). So, we rearrange our sleeping arrangements to make room (keep in mind I have an extremely small house with a greand total of 1 bathrooms!) and that again is fine.

What is not fine is that my 23 year old cat, who is senile, cannot handle any change. He cries in the middle of the night (howls really) because he gets lost but we have him set up so that he goes only a few places - less to get lost in. He is thrown so off course by any changes that K and I got a grand total of about 2 hours of sleep last night.

One more night of this!

Bummer about the kitty! Thankfully it's only one more night and maybe tonight will go better.

The weird feelings you're having, I'm having too. The gurgly tummy woke me up yesterday around 5am it was SO loud. I broke out the first 2 days I started on the OoO and when I upped my dosage day before yesterday I immediately started breaking out again.. Meh! I didn't have this much when i was a teenager!!!
Hope you get to feeling better soon!!

Thanks Danielle, you too!

Still breaking out although that looks like it's slowing down some - thank goodness!
Tummy is still weird, my scalp itches and my vision is super blurry. Headachy and body achy and a little short tempered although I am really trying not to be. More like a lack of patience and I am a pretty patient person normally. Could be TOM coming too, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

Still taking my 3x OoO daily, plus a tbsp od CO and a tbsp of DE daily. I've been sleeping good, except for last night, and having really strange dreams. Mentally I am foggy too.

Just documenting what all is happening so I have a reference point.

Thanks

I think it's just made worse right now because I am incredibly tired from the company we have at the house - another night with no sleep as K's younger nephew was projectile vomitong all night.

I am hoping that once I do sleep (TONIGHT!!!) I'll feel less like the walking dead.

Ok, so I'm not the only weirdo with an itchy scalp Was starting to wonder if I was just projecting up into my hair since the rest of me seems to be incredbly itchy.

Good lord with the company and the sick! You poor girl, hoping they leave soon???? You'll sleep like the dead when they leave, won't you!

I slept.
Best feeling ever. Went to bed at 8pm and did not move until I had to get up this am.

Tomorrow I switch my OoO to pau d'arco and I really hope i don't expereince a whole nother round of die-off.

Thanks!

I forgot to add that I was (and still am) craving sweets something awful, so I had a Quest bar last night, the chocolate brownie one.
Well, it was different. It did take the cravings away, so I'll grant that but the texture and taste were just weird. Was super chewy and hard to eat.

I've heard good things about them though, so I'll have to try some of the other flavors.
