Didn't eat much yesterday - just wasn't hungry. K had a terrible day at work and it really affected all of us. Just a bad day all around but didn't console myself with food, so that's a good thing.

One of K's employee's "family members" wrote a nasty letter to HR complainng that she is abusive and horrible to this one employee. It goes into great detail, and because it's so detailed, it was easy for HR to find out who wrote it. K isn't any of the things in the letter, but she does work hard and expects the same from anyone who works for her.
HR is on her side, but it was a very hard and hurtful blow.
And because I work at the same place and am in a postion where I come in contact with this person, I have to be polite.

K is loud and funny and very blunt and because of this, people think that she has no feelings. I am quiet and keep to myself, and because of that, people think I am the nicest person ever.
In reality, it's reversed. K is generous to a fault and has the biggest heart of anyone I know. She makes friends in the grocery store checkout line. Me, I don't care if anyone likes me. If you like me, fine. If not, that's fine too - it means I don't have to deal with you.

So, I've been struggling a little this week. Sorry for the emotional dumping

That sucks, Janet. I hope K's week gets better, and yours too.

Some people are just complainers. We have someone at work who never shuts up about our boss and how awful he is. Not only is the boss a loooong time friend of mine, he is a great guy who runs our department beautifully and gives the "complainer" extra time when he whiffs assignments and helps him when he has tech problems (which is pretty much every day).

So, today was weigh day and what a let down. I have been soooooo good this week keeping on plan. I expected some kind of drop and instead got a gain of a half pound. I think it's because I'm constipated so I upped my magnesium intake to take care of that.
At least I feel good about staying on plan.

Hi all

Went home from work early yesterday and slept from about 3pm to 7am this morning! I feel sooooo much better. I think I was just exhausted!
Didn't eat much yesterday so we will see what the scale brings on Friday.
