Atkins Induction + Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution

If you're reading this - thanks! I think a journal may help me get through the tough spots and I'm inspired by reading what others' have written.

I have been on Atkins for three weeks now, and I've been doing Body Revolution for two. It's tough to get up every morning and let Jillian kick my butt. So far the results are honestly a little discouraging. I can't seem to break 177.2 pounds on the scale, even though I'm working out, pushing water and sticking closely to induction.

I think that maybe I'm not eating enough calories of protein, so I'm going to try that in the next few days.

One of my biggest problems is that once I get going on Atkins, I don't eat very much. I don't feel hungry and options are limited - so I just go without.

So instead of staying discouraged - I'm starting a journal. Hopefully it will help me keep things in perspective long term.

Thanks again for reading!

This morning I got up and started Workout 3 of Jillian's Body Revolution. It was the first time for that particular workout and I was frustrated because I wasn't strong enough to do some of the exercises. I stayed with it though, and hopefully I'll get stronger.

I'm still having difficulty eating enough. I started the day with a protein shake with heavy cream in it. For lunch I ate some leftovers from a couple of days ago. It's good, I highly recommend it. The only downside is that it has so few veggies. I ate 1/12 of Cheri's cheesecake recipe - which I totally love - as a snack in the afternoon. Then I had dinner.

I may drink one more protein shake before bed. I should eat a salad instead, but I hate salad.

Late in the day, I took my kids to lap swim at the pool and did some more cardio. It was refreshing.

I'm frustrated that I don't seem to have lost any weight since starting the Body Revolution workouts (two weeks now). I can't tell if my body is in starvation mode or if I'm gaining more muscle than losing fat.

Ketostix tell me that I'm in Ketosis - above 60 anyway. Hopefully I'll start to see changes soon.
