That's what she said.....
I must admit, I have been "stalking" journals for a few weeks now. You gals are so inspiring. I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but I don't even know if it matters right now.
In late January, I put on a pair of jeans and they were so tight I could barely breath. My hubby said "put on a bigger pair." I was embarrassed to tell him they were the biggest jeans I owned. He laughed and told me to buy some bigger ones. I refused! That is when I had my Oprah Aha moment. Girl, you are fat and you need to get your bottom in gear immediately! So a few weeks later I did... I started in early February at 278, the biggest I have ever been! In the beginning, I started with starvation and exercise. I dropped 10 pounds pretty quick, but just couldn't survive low calorie. In March, I started Atkins, and the weight started coming off, and my energy increased. I have fallen off the wagon a few times, one weekend involved a bowl of chocolate icing. But so far, I have jumped back on everytime. I am now exercising six days a week, but seem to be stuck in the 230s. Super frustrating! I am hoping this journal will be my motivation to not get discouraged, to keep pushing. And when I am skinny, I will have something to look back at. If I'm not too busy shopping for clothes, in a regular store, which is my ultimate goal. Screw healthy, I wanna fit in Ann Taylor again. |

I think you're really going to enjoy this section of LCF. This entire site is amazing but for some reason, these journals really keep me going. I have made some really good friends through here, I'm sure you will too! I can really relate to what you wrote about your clothing being the biggest size you owned... BTDT!! You have done so well already, I know you'll reach your goal. Looking forward to gettin to know you and cheer you on to success. Ann Taylor here you come! ![]() |

![]() ![]() Seriously, my journal is mostly just me posting my food log, but I'm so happy that I have done it. I can go back and look at where I possibly messed up or have done good with my eating plan. Keep up the good work!! |

Is it Friday yet??
What a day! I love, ok maybe not quite love, getting up at 5:00 to workout. I find it gets me ready for the day and sets me up for a good eating day. I am so an all or nothing kind of girl. When I workout in the morning, I am never tempted to eat badly. I say Leslie if you eat those cookies it would be like you dragged your butt out of bed and to the gym, while it is still dark outside, for nothing. No way. So today, I hit my snooze button a few times, OK like ten times...Not only did I miss my workout, I was late for work! I hate hate hate being late! So on top of all that, I missed my breakfast and was starving! So obviously I didn't win the congeniality award with my coworkers today, sorry guys! I had to run errands on my lunch break, and since I forgot my lunch, I was forced, OK not forced. I ate chicken salad out of the container while driving, with chopsticks, because for some reason I had chopsticks but no forks or spoons in my glovebox? I am sure I looked insane! Not the first time.... I was determined to do my walk/run after work, I am doing C25K. But it started pouring down rain on my way home and hasn't stopped. I could go jump on my elliptical, but I think I just gonna call it a day and try again tomorrow. So food for today: B-nada L-chicken salad D-taco salad Weight- 233.6 The same for 4 days now, has not gone up or down. |

Hello there!
I feel you about "Is it Friday yet?" Sorry you had a less than pleasant day (I HATE being late too), but I wanted to welcome you to the wonderful world of online journaling. It's such a great place to post victories and to just vent when you need to. After all, it is YOUR journal, isn't it? ![]() Hopefully your Wednesday will be much nicer. WELCOME!!! Have fun, Jenna ![]() |

I know that Weight Watchers is great for a lot of people. Gosh that Jennifer Hudson looks ah ma zing. But it's just not for me...I have talked myself into trying it so so many times. But I starve, and get annoyed at looking up points for everything I am going to eat. I am not a planner, and it is just too much work for me. Heck, I ate celery and six pieces of celery for dinner tonight. You don't find that combo on many meal plans!
I love the flexibility that Atkins gives me. I can go to just about any restaurant and be confident that I can find a low carb meal. Maybe not Taco Bell because I would trade my grandma for about six of those Doritos Tacos. Just kidding, I don't think I could eat six. I had a pretty good eating day today, I managed to get up in time for my date with my sports bra. I wanted to run tonight, but I took too long making dinner... B- Chorizo and Goat Cheese Omelette L- Salad and Chicken Wings D- Celery and Pepperoni Weight- 233.4 |

I have tried WW sooo many times I can't even tell you. I am the same exact way, I just feel so hungry doing it, and nope, no planner here either!
I had to laugh because the way you feel about those tacos, I think I'd sell a kid for some animal style fries from In-N-Out. ![]() |

Ugh, gained weight. Went up to 234.4, so frustrated. I think it must have been my massive dinner... I was so craving something bad last night and I talked myself off the ledge, and I still gained weight! That is so discouraging!
Hope I can keep it together today! Gonna try to buy a new dress on my lunch break. |

Sunday June 25, 2012
Gosh, I have been slacking a bit here...
It was a very busy week in our house. I work a full time job, which has been a little crazy this week. I also work evenings as a chauffeur for my 10 year old son. Who has quite the social schedule. I am happy to say that I kept it together this week. I ate pretty well, exercised, drank plenty of water... I am looking for some new exercise options to shake things up a bit. Can't do Zumba, no coordination. Seriously embarrassing. I am considering a hula hoop class? Any suggestions? Made a sausage , mushroom and goat cheese frittata for brunch. Getting ready to make a Caprese salad to have with dinner. I spent a car payment at the farmers market yesterday, and excited about cooking with fresh produce. Just have this week and a few next week until I get time off for a little Fourth of July getaway. I keep telling myself to do good until then. Then I have the BIG vacation coming later in July. I am going North to visit with friends and family, and would love to be in the low 220s by then. I would actually love to be in the low 160s, but I am trying to be realistic... |

Hi! Keep up the journaling! Just this morning I read all 8 pages of mine again. It is good to see how far I have come, what frustrates me, the mistakes I repeat...it has helped me tremendously to read it over and over again.
I did Zumba and I have no coordination. But only about 3 people in the class had any coordination at all, and they were all so concerned about not looking stupid that they did not dare look at anyone else I figured if I was moving, even if it wasn't the right way...it was still exercise.
