Hi Everybody,

Life was a little better today. Although DS7 broke his glasses again! This will be the fourth frame I've had to order in four months. I did find his lost pair. They were under my bed. I had to move the mattress and box spring and then of course I had to vacuum and clean up all the junk that was under there .

I went and had starbucks with a good friend of mine, after work, before picking up kids. It was nice to just unwind a bit (until I got the call from the Vice Principal about the glasses). I'm so frustrated with that kid it did help to have the VP's positive outlook on DS7 and everything that is going on with him. I just want to kick his little booty right now!

Food was good. No exercise today... I think I'm going to whip out the JM 30 day shred DVD that I have. I'm not curvy right now, I'm lumpy !

All I know is that I want to get back to my happy self. I don't know if it's DS7 shenanigans or working during my previous "free time" but I am just so stressed out. Oh, my DS17 who will be turning 18 in Oct. seems to think that he is going to "let" me boss him around once he turns 18 . Seriously??? I need a vacation and we're not out of the month of September yet!!!!

Calgon take me away....

Oh my goodness. How does he manage to break his glasses so much? He's really been making you work lately. It's nice that you had a support system to help you out some with DS7, especially at the school.

Lets do a 30 day shred challenge!? I think I got mine back from my sister, I'll have to check, it may motivate me more if someone is doing it with me. But I usually start on Mondays...bad juju for me. I know I never seem to work out on the weekends so I usually plan it for Mon-Fri and rest on weekends, except I plan on taking my bike out now (starting THIS weekend). I need to get rid of these jiggles and be active.

I am afraid of when my kids get into HS. My oldest DD11 already acts like a teenager so she may be the hardest to deal with.

Ok, it's official....after the holidays are over I'm kidnapping you and taking you on vacation. We're gonna need it!

Hope the fam goes easy on you today.

Hello All,

I made it through the week! I don't want to even report what happened today with DS7. I have lost all patience with this child. We have made an apt with our family counsler and are trying to figure out what the h&@" is going on with him.

Karen- I would love to go on vacation with you! I'll have to lose weight first . We can grab Jenna too! I am totally up for a Shred challenge! Let's start it Monday. Anyone else want to join?

We have a soccer game tomorrow morning and DS17 is going to Fresno area for a wrestling tournament. My goal this weekend is to clean out our front closet and get some paperwork done. We have an apple tree that the boys have to pick and we're going to make apple butter, apple sauce, and apple jelly. Not diet friendly, but oh so good. I give jars of them for Christmas gifts.

Food was...

B- Coffee w/ HWC and a cheese stick

L- taco salad

D- crockpot pork with cauliflower

S- LC fudge bar

Not bad for the day. Got to go check journals.

Goodnight Everyone!

Sorry to hear things are still difficult with DS, Tanya. I hope the counselor can give you some insight there. Your apple dishes sound delicious! Have fun!

I'm sure the counseling will help both of you get through this difficult period, since I have been taking DD11 things have improved quite a bit. I'm sorry he's been more difficult lately, but I am hopeful it will all get better for you guys soon.

Apple yumminess!! Sounds wonderful, I wish I was creative a skilled like that.

The Shred it ON! Jenna may want to join!? I know I will be HURTING for the first few days...in a good way.

Food is looking good, you are on a roll girlfriend.

You're going to feel relieved once you get all that organizing done.

Have a wonderful day!!

Hi Tanya!

I am glad for you that you are going to get some counseling for your DS. I know that it's helped me over the years tremendously. I just feel like I can "unload" a lot of stuff at sessions and clear things out, which can be a great relief. I wish you guys the best with that avenue.

I am IN on the Shred Challenge!!!! Tomorrow's the day? Like I told Karen, I have to get my DVD out and dust it off...

Apple madness!!! Have fun with that.

Let's go on a vacation together! I like that idea. At the very least, it would be so much fun to meet up someday. Who knows...

Have a great day organizing things...talk to ya later, girlfriend!

Hugs, Jenna

Good morning,

We had a busy weekend as usual. My house is clean, laundry is done and there are groceries in the fridge. Off to start a new week where the house will get dirty, laundry will pile up and my boys will it eat everything in sight !
Oh well, I have to appreciate and love what I have right now.

I'm going to start the 30 day shred challenge today. I'll post later when I do it.

Have a great day all. I'm off to start my day

Hi Tanya,

How was your day? Glad to hear that you got a lot done and organized this weekend.

Did you do the Shred? I TRIED to get about halfway through and twisted my knee. Now I am limping around. I may have to skip it for a day or two until I am sure that I didn't hurt myself.

I hope that things are good and look forward to our next chat! Take care!

Hugs, Jenna

I so know what you mean...sometimes I wonder why we bother cleaning if it's going to get messed up but imagine what it would look like then. I need to get my chore chart done and put it into action so these girls have some real responsibilities around here and help me out. I just haven't decided which way I will go with it....course it has to be PERFECT. I love when everything is done and taken care of, that way if surprises come up it's a little less stressful. Hope you feel accomplished bc you worked hard.

Hope you got Shred in, you'll feel better once you do. I was huffing and puffing during my workout this morning....definitely out of shape over here.

Night Tanya!!

Hi All,

I did it! I did the shred. It shredded my body, that's for sure! I was sweating and red faced. My day was busy and my parents were here so I couldn't get to it until 8 but I made myself. This time around was much harder than the last time I tried it! Last time I was working out six days a week. I haven't worked out consistently since August when my sister was real sick. So I pat us all on the back for doing it or attempting it. Sorry Jenna, feel better soon .Karen big high five

Another bad day for DS7. My parents had to pick him up from school while I was at work. I talked with the school psychologist and she was explaining to me what happened. He was doing very naughty things and when I asked her why she didn't pick him up and remove him from the classroom (he was running from her) she said she was not trained to do that! I guess they have to have special restraining training. Just crazy! So basically he's totally testing them and in his eyes they're failing that test. I told them they need to get an aid in there who is trained to guide him in the right direction when he is acting up this way. This situation is just stressing me out. My eye has started twitching! And ultimately I just want my son to be able to make friends and go to school and be happy like any other kid.

Food was ok, work was ok.... Weather was hot for us in the high 90s. We only get a few days a year like that. I enjoyed it

Got to get to bed. Goodnight Everyone

Yay Tanya!! You're such a trooper! Good job with the Shred , I am feeling it this morning.

I remember hearing something about the restraining thing from a friend of mine who worked with special needs kids. He did say that they mess with him bc the kids know the teachers can't touch them. Sounds frustrating and I bet they have to have a lot of patience. It'll get better, I know it seems like a lost cause right now but someone will figure out how to get through to him. You're doing a great job finding him the best help possible.

Are you still eating LC?

That's nice you had a day of sunshine and warmth. It's warming up again here too. Which means fall is coming....this is just a tease at the moment.

Hope today is better for you w/DS. Take it easy and just breathe.

Good evening,

I just finished my second day of JM's Shred DVD. Man it's a killer. How did I let myself go so quickly? Oh well, back to the exercise grind. Btw I hate pushups. Just thought I would throw that out there!
Christine- thanks for the support.
Karen- you asked about my eating. I don't know what I'm doing. Somedays I'm low carbing and somedays I'm just eating whatever. When I do go off plan it is at work. Dang job in a kitchen . I really just need to pack my lunch or something that I can add to what's being served. For example I could easily eat a salad everyday, I just need to bring a hb egg or some grilled chicken for some protein. I'm finally getting used to working and juggling house stuff. I just need to take a few extra minutes to care for me.

Won't get into DS7 because it is the same as yesterday. We are having an IEP meeting on Friday to brainstorm some kind of solution for him. I think he'll end up with an aid after lunch because this is when the behavior is happening.

I'm going to check in on journals. I hope everyone had a great day.

You go Ms. Fitness!! I wasn't so great in that area today.

It's hard when you leave the sanctions of your home, especially when you are working around it. You're doing the best you can and I'm sure you will be okay, especially with the workouts.

You need a spa weekend soon. You've been working your tail off and dealing with one thing after another. Maybe a bubble bath will hold ya until you can completely lose yourself in a weekend of self pampering and detox.

Goodnight friend.

One more check in! I was just thinking in the shower (had to wash off all that sweat ) I'm starting JUDDD tomorrow. I've got to just put on my big girl (literally) undies and commit to an eating plan. I like JUDDD because it's "normal" 50% of the time. I'm tired of no weight loss reporting. My journal has turned into "my crazy life journal". That's not what I'm here for! I'm here to get healthy and like the way I look. I feel like I have been putting off life for years because I wasn't comfortable in my skin. No more, no more, no more! Wow, there must have been something in that water !

Good for you for committing to a plan! Also, I hate push-ups, too!

I know this will sound weird, but what does DS eat for lunch? Do you think something he's eating is contributing to the behavior? Lots of kids have serious sensitivities to dyes and additives; is it possible that the behavior is linked to diet?

Hope you have a great day!

Hi Tanya,

How are you today? I wish you the best of luck with JUDDD. It's worked so well for many people, of course Karen being a great example. Maybe it's the key for you to get things going.

I agree that it's good to try and take some time for yourself with all of the craziness that you have going on, especially with the tremendous stress of dealing with DS. I try to take Saturday mornings for myself even if it's difficult. I don't know if that would work for you to have set hours just to yourself or not, at least once a week, if not more. Just a suggestion.

I wish you a good day and a fresh start to things! Take care!

Hugs, Jenna

Hi Guys,

I had a decent DD. I can't say I was at 500 cals but I was around 700. I wasn't shaky or freaking out. So I'm pleased overall . I do have to say I am so sore today from that damn Jillian Michael . We had soccer practice and I was moving like an old lady !

Christine, Karen and Jenna~Thanks so much for the encouraging words

I have my interview tomorrow for the position I have been subbing for. Most of the time I feel confident about it and then suddenly I will get butterflies in my stomach. I just want to get it over with.

Food today was..

B- cup of green tea

L- salad with tomatoes a cut up string cheese and 1tbl ranch

D- sml slice of meatloaf, 5 steamed carrots and 1/4 C baked beans

S- 100 cal raspberry creamsicle and a pear

That creamsicle was awesome !!!

I am going to go take a bath to soak my poor abused muscles.

Goodnight Girls....

Hi Ladies,

I think the interview went well. I wasn't nervous, it just felt like my words wouldn't come together the way I wanted them to! I'm just glad that it's over. I don't have to stress about it. It will be what it will be. I should find out tomorrow if I got it or not.

My UD was just that, up! I'm kind of looking forward to my DD tomorrow. I did a different work out DVD today because my knees are feeling stiff and sore. So I changed it up.
I don't know if I can list my full menu. See if I can remember it all....

B- 1/2 Burger King mapel and raisin oatmeal
I sampled at work 2 french toast sticks with syrup and a couple bites of a blueberry scone

L- Taco Salad with ranch dressing

D- Hamburger Stroganoff and greenbeans

S- A bag of cheetos, 1/2 of a little Debbies PB bar thing, AND an apple with about 3tbl of PB and a 100 cal creamsicle

Ya, it was a BIG day. Obviously the snacks were a problem .

On to my DD...

I do have good news. DS7 had a good day at school. I can't tell you how good it felt when the teacher opened the door and said " He had a WONDERFUL day"!!!!
Also this Saturday we are going to lunch with a recruitor for DS17. Although this Mama does not want her baby to go to Missouri. I really have my mind set on Minnesota. All of my husbands family is there. If there is a problem, they are there, if he can't come home for a holiday, he can go there. I just feel that it would be a better fit. When I think of him going to a place where he knows NO ONE. I feel like I'm going to have a panick attack . Oh well, be happy with what you have, right ?

Have a great night everyone

So glad to hear about DS7!!! Good luck on the recruiting visit with DS17! Wherever he ends up, he'll build a support network, so try not to worry too much.

Here's to a successful DD today!

That's great DS7 had a good day. Hope it continues to get better for him.

I miss Minnesota and my family there. I see what you're saying about having people around him when he needs it, that would be ideal. Once he gets wherever he is going he will make connections and start an outside "family" of his own to pull support from. Mamas worry no matter what, it's natural.

Hope you have a good DD today! TGIF!!

Talk to you soon.

Good morning,

I forgot to post that I only lost 1 lb after my DD. But yesterday well I uh went to the restroom and when I weighed this am after that high UD I had lost a another lb! All I have to say is that was some bathroom visit

Christine~ I know he will be fine wherever he goes. He's just my first one so all things are harder for me with him. By the time my last one goes off to college I'll probably have his bag packed waiting at the door ! Na, I'll be nervous for that one too.

Have a great day all. Viva la Down Day!

Hi Karen I missed your post! Hope your having a great day.

I'm done with work. Now I have to get my kids from school and then I'm off to meet up with my BFF. She's here briefly. We're going to meet at the bookstore, grab some coffee and maybe get our nails done! You know girl stuff! I'm looking forward to it after the last month I've had

Oh, I got the job ! So now it's official. I've got to get moving. My DD has been good so far. I'll post my menu later.
