Hey Girls,
I am tired tonight. I did my normal morning routine with the kiddos and then went to work. After I got off work, I went to little guys school to talk with principal about his incident on Friday. She was very cool about it and we decided to get him signed up for their social skills group that they run on Fridays. It's a 45 minute group activity. I'm hoping it will help. Soccer practice is Mon/Wed, it is exhausting! I'm counting down the practices that we have left... Still no nurse. They are sending out a new nurse for a meet and greet on Wed. I hope this one is a winner. My Dad is pitching in tomorrow and DS14 got her off the bus today. DS14 goes to a charter school so he doesn't have school on Mondays or Fridays. He has music on Fridays though. This nursing situation is so irritating. I wish I could fire this agency but they are the only pediatric one in our area. So we have to use them Tomorrrow is the big day. I have to get back on track. My stomach is so bloated from all the sugars I've been sucking down. I will report all about my pain and withdrawl tomorrow .Last edited by skyesmom2002; 09-17-2012 at 11:15 PM.. |

I'm glad you have the principal working with ya and hopefully found something to help DS out.
The nursing situation sounds horrible. I hope the one that comes out tomorrow is the winner you need and can depend on. ![]() Good luck on your start today, you'll feel SO much better once you detox from the carbs. Have a great day Tanya!! ![]() |

Hi Everyone,
Today went well. I had a good LC day. I kept the carbs under 30. I ate... B- hard boil egg, coffee w/ HWC L- salad w/ hb egg and ham, ranch dressing D- meat loaf and cauliflower S- low cal jello This afternoon was not easy but I know it will get better I had a relaxing afternoon which for me means I didn't go any where once I got home with all of the kids. I spent the afternoon putting together a resume and an introduction letter. We also have to have two letters of reference. Holy Cow! I'm only applying to be a food server not the head of the nutrition department Hope you all had a great day!Goodnight ![]() |

Hi Girls & Boys
![]() I had another good day of low carbing. I'm not one that is in love with this woe but it does get me out of the carb frenzy when I'm in it! B- coffee w/HWC L- salad with grilled chicken D- LC Italian crock pot chicken & string beans S- string cheese We had soccer practice tonight and I interviewed a new nurse today. She was a heavy smoker, not the best thing to have around Skye with her fragile health. But what really got me was when she told me how when she worked for the prison, what she liked about working there was that she didn't have to be nice. Umm excuse me??? Why would I want someone like that to care for my non verbal chilld?? Where are they getting these crazy @$$ people??? Needless to say she wasn't hired! I also had to run out to Monterey because little guy broke his glasses again! The lady in the shop was nice and gave us another free frame. Karen- I really do not want to have a job but I swear every time DS17 opens his mouth another $100- goes flying out of my wallet! Senior year is very expensive! I've got to get to bed. I'm actually not going to work tomorrrow. My DS14 has a doctors apt that took three months to get into. I'm not canceling it. I'll check back in tomorrow! |

Hello Ladies,
Just sitting in the doc office. I thought I would use this time to post. B- Coffee with HWC (love this stuff) L- turkey/cheese roll ups D- smothered chicken and asparagus S- low cal jello I'm going to try to get to Pilates class tonight. Karen- I have to say I was a little surprised at what that lady was telling me. It was after I had interviewed her and we were just chatting and that popped out of her mouth! Christine- I am not settling for just anybody. My girl is precious and deserves the best. Everyone deserves that! Speaking of, we have another interview today. My DH will be here for that one which is good. I'm getting a bad attitude about all of this! This new applicant has worked in the home and with pediatric patients before. I think some of the problem is that these recent applicants have come from working in the prison (last three) and have no experience with pediatrics or home care. So wish us luck with this lady today! I took away games from my DS14, wrestling practice from DS 17 and the Giants game from DS7 (whatever works, right?) until I am happy with the way the inside and the outside of the house looks. Since all this craziness began, our home is a mess and I just can't keep up. These boys need to do their part AND clean up after themselves (that's half the battle). If anyone has any suggestions on how they handle this I would love to read them. Have a great day. |

![]() Crossing my fingers for you that the nurse works out. She sounds good on paper. My kids are in the same boat as yours. Must be something in the Cali air. Hi Ladies,
I finally got a chance to post. We did hire the nurse who we interviewed on Thursday. She is experienced with home care and cases like Skye. So that is major weight off of my shoulders. We had a soccer game today my little guy made his first goal today! Then DH and I went to a movie. We have so much to do right now but it was nice to just say "to heck with the work lets go see a movie"! We are actually cleaning out the garage this weekend. We are going to start building bedrooms out there. I can't wait!!! Our permits finally went through . No more kids sharing rooms. No more kids brawling in the middle of the night. No more kids blaming the other for the messy room...You get the picture. I'm even getting a craft walk in closet. Hubby calls it a room. I call it a walk in closet. All I know is that all of my craft stuff will be out of my room!!!Food has been good. I think I will start JUDDD on Tuesday. Still haven't gone to any of my exercise classes. I guess I will when I'm ready. Goodnight all ![]() ![]() ![]() |

So glad you guys found a good nurse to take of your precious girl, that must be a relief.
![]() You made a good choice in having a little down time to yourselves before working butt...we all need that sometimes. Hope it was a good movie. I'm there with ya on the kid battles. It just never stops, but I'm sure your renovation will improve the situation greatly. Can't wait till your back in the JUDDD club. One step at a time, i know you'll get to the exercise when you're ready. ![]() Talk to you tomorrow, goodnight friend. ![]() |

YAY! Great news on all fronts! Also, I'm not a crafty person myself, but I've seen some excellent organizational tips for keeping craft supplies in small places on Pinterest. Have you checked that out?

Hi Tanya! Great for me to get back on track with you again!!!
Sounds like you have a lot of good stuff going on. I'm SO GLAD that the nurse situation has been straightened out for you and your family. That must be a huge relief. That's neat that you are building some additional bedrooms too. I only have one kiddo, but I can just imagine that with a big family everyone needs some space or there will definitely be conflict, especially with kids. Maybe I've asked you before, but what kind of crafting do you do? I love scrapbooking and painting/coloring wooden items, especially around the holidays for gifts. Have a super great day, Tanya!!! Hugs, Jenna ![]() |

Hello my friends,
I missed you guys. I have been so busy that I didn't have any time to get on the computer. Last night I actually went to bed with a terrible headache from a lack of sleep. I got some rest and am feeling better now. My food is still going well. I didn't start JUDDD today. I think it's going to be hard. I am literally surrounded by food from 9-1, they encourage us to try the food too so when the kids ask how it tastes we know. We also take a lunch break all together. I don't feel like explaining anything to my co-workers just yet. I have been getting exercise with the kids at soccer practice though. I run with them, well it's more like huffing and puffing !The new nurse is awesome. She is just one of those people who loves working with special needs kids. Some of the aids at her school are clearly there just for the paycheck. I finally got my room cleaned up. I swear it feels like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. I read somewhere having clutter can really effect your attitude and even your weight. I want to go check on you all... See you tomorrow ![]() |

Glad you are feeling better and that your nurse is a good one! With regard to the clutter, YES! My friend is married to a low-grade hoarder, and her mom gave her a book that I think was called "Your stuff is making me fat" or something like that, and it's all about how the environment contributes to your overall health/wellbeing. Good for you for getting things cleaned up; I find that it makes a huge difference to my mood! Have a great day, Tanya!

![]() I'm glad you got some rest, I don't function well without proper sleep. ![]() That's wonderful to have a great nurse to take care of your little girl, I'm glad she has become a blessing to the situation and you must feel good that you have a good lady there for her, she deserves that. It's really difficult working around food when you're trying to figure things out for yourself in that area. I bet it is hard explaining it to people and sticking to things. I'm sure you will figure it all out soon and when ready. ![]() Look at you go little runner. It'll get better as you keep at it, I hate running but I especially hate exercise. Good for you girl! ![]() KUTGW! Good to know you are doing well. Have a wonderful day! ![]() |

Hi Tanya!
That is a challenge with the food situation. Temptations must be everywhere. I agree with Karen, you'll do what you have to do and get it figured out in your own time. Good for you doing the huffing and puffing thing with the soccer team! I think that the key to exercise is making it fun as possible. I also HATE exercise too, but I do try to mix it up and not do the same thing over and over. SUPER HAPPY for you with the nurse situation. That is great and awesome news. Dedicated and kind people make all the difference.Have a great day, Tanya!! Hugs, Jenna ![]() |

Hi Ladies,
Hope you all are doing well. I just got home from soccer practice that did not go well. My little guy has just been having a horrible time lately. At school he has had to talk to the principal, vice principal and the school psychologist all in a weeks time. They added a social skills class and some new guidelines for the teacher in how to deal with his out bursts. Apparantly they are also having to address the kids in his class because they are getting him riled up. Anyways it was a not so fun hour of soccer. Luckily DS17 was with me and took over when I had to take little guy to the car. The stress from this has me just miserable. I'm just not happy right now. My DH has not been around that much lately because he has a lot of work. Which means all of this falls on me to deal with. Food was good. I didn't have any junk and I was good at work today. I wish I had a more upbeat, positive post. But it's just not in me today .Be back tomorrow... Last edited by skyesmom2002; 09-26-2012 at 08:08 PM.. |

I feel your frustration with the kids. That is a lot to take on for yourself.
It was nice of your DD17 to help you out. ![]() Good job with the food. So proud of you for sticking through while at work, that's a great accomplishment. Hi Tanya,
Wow, that is a lot for one person to deal with. I really hope that the situation improves soon. ![]() The beautiful thing about having journals is that we can just be the way we are and feel the way that we do and that's more than OK. We just want to hear about how you are and will be as supportive as possible. I truly hope that today is a better day for you. Take care. Hugs, Jenna ![]() |
