Hiya! My email suddenly started getting LCF notifications and it was your thread. It's been a while! I hope everything starts improving for you and yours very soon, Amber. As for the weight and exercise, I think you are the most motivated person ever, and you *will* get to where you want to be! I just restarted after a backslide myself. Take care and {{{hugs}}}!

I'm so happy to see you back! First of all, be kind to yourself, lady You are going through alot of stuff all at once...stuff that isn't easy to just chuck aside and ignore.. Super exciting news about your Nan coming home..that's alot of stress for you all even despite being thrilled that she's back with you all. I dunno if I ever told you this, but way back when I'd lost nearly all my weight we ended up moving from AZ back to CA...we ended up living with my sister and BIL...what should have been a *short* stay..turned into nearly a year...and yep, I ended up slowly gaining back lots and lots of weight.. We ALL did actually, even my kids got a little pudgy for about 2seconds That living with someone else deal is nothing to sneeze at, it's hard!! Think about how far you have come, the people you have in your life that truly truly love you for YOU..the weight loss will follow, I know it!

Love the pics! That race looks like lots of fun, I'm so glad you decided to do it!

You know what to do..one foot in front of the other and we're here to help you!

Thanks girls it is good to know there is always people that get how freaking hard this is! As I shove in cupcakes today thinking about getting on the wagon tomorrow, like duh????Fun day though with the family my aunts pool was freezing but still managed to get a few rays! Played racquetball this morning for over an hour so that was good!

Tomorrow is the day I gotta get my crap together, so we will see if I can string together a whole week of being on plan with no derailments!!!!!

D-living with people and not being in control is rough, so much temptation and then it is my Mom that is a huge stressor in itself!!!!

But better face the music, go boil eggs and get ready to buckle down!

I know you can do it Amber. Its all mental. You just have to let go of the past, get out of your head. You can do it, you've done it before and you'll do it again!

Hi Amber!!!

Ha, you were a muddy mess, that looks like a lot of fun!!!

I am avoiding weighing in. All it took was some birthday parties, and I went on a three week backslide. Amazing how much damage can happen in a few weeks. I ordered up some books on low fat vegan diets (I am not vegan, but it seems to be the only thing that works for me anymore--I am going to try a daily non-vegan small breakfast then stick to their plans for the balance). Today is a fresh start.

I haven't been biking much lately - I realize I have been slack. OK, diet and exercise - it works, right?

Good to hear from you!!!

You will be fine! There is just sooo much going on in your life right now. You can't be master of everything!

Just hang in there!

Any idea of when you will get your house? I would think the bank would want the money...

Hugs

You are going to start losing again so don't despair! Look at what great shape you are in too. The fact that you can play racquetball for hours is awesome. Give yourself a day or two and those pounds will start coming right off. Hang in there doll. And remember that we are here for you!

Hey Amber...glad to see you posting again. I agree that you are one of the most determined people on here, so I know you will have all kinds of success again!

I decided to stop weighing daily and take your advice to weigh Mon. & Fri. -- I was just telling Lexi I was going to start that, so thanks for the idea! I do occasionally sneak a peek (like after this past holiday weekend)...lol.

Happy Hump Day, pretty lady!

Don't feel bad Amber, it doesn't help.

When I went through my family tragedy last year, I was up as high as 242 at one point. I am pretty sure that was sometime around April last year.

It will come right back off!!!

I think that when you have lost weight, it takes very little to gain it back, especially when extreme measures were taken to get the pounds off. I don't buy 3500 calories per pound in my case, seriously!

It is maddening!!!

KT- no kidding about calories even eating bad food I am still under like 2000 calories, and still cant lose, but it is what it is! Yesterday we got some news about the house, apparently the second mortgage the sellers had got sold off, so now the clock is starting over with that, OMG like really?????? Like we need any more stress? So who knows when life will get back to normal, I am trying to just enjoy being able to be with my Gram every night for now!

I need to start a new journal, I need a good name for it????

I think that after work outs your body retains water so that could be all it is... you'll have to really try and not weigh in so much, it really messes with your head!

Hey Amber - maybe you could try resistant starch? I've been incorporating it with the potatoes, rice, making my own hummus, and buying bob's red mill potato starch as well as hi-maize. I think it works because it drops my fasting blood sugar. I can't explain it - my morning readings are in the low 80s when I eat like this. I always heard carbs were the problem, now I don't believe it anymore.

I don't touch bread and of course still do not eat sugar - I am selective with the carbs.

You could look at the info in the Perfect Health Diet thread.
