I had a roommate at the time i got engaged who was into astrology. She said the marriage would never last as we were too close together. - 9 days apart. We celebrated our 44th anniversary last summer! We are closer than ever as the years go by. I just pray we stay healthy enough tmagnet to 50 years as my parents did.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!! What is better than a Friday? A payday Friday but this one is not, LOL

Today I am trying the pot pie, everyone seems to really like that one!

Man I was so strict and lost a freaking pound but I am down 11 or 12 since Christmas so I am not going to complain yet, but I would like to see 2 pounds a week to keep me happy! Not back in full gym mode yet so starting Monday that is going back into effect!

Yes Amber I love the pot pie. The flavor is insane. It makes you feel like you are eating bad. I do miss the crust but it is still good.

Gail woman I was missing you! I am glad you are back with updates, Tony is home now next week he goes to Indiana and White Plains. NY so he will be gone again! OMG yesterday was such a bad day for both of us, we both crashed I woke up at 12:15 in a daze he was out we are real party animals on Friday nights! LOL

Today I sign Bobby up for baseball that is always a zoo doing that, and then packing til tonight when we are meeting friends for dinner! Then just more packing! Nothing exciting going on! Next weekend my aunt and cousin are coming to help me pack, all the china closet stuff, I think we have a pretty good handle on it, its all the last minute stuff the clothes and shoe mess that has me worried! LOL

I know am getting Dunkin Donut boxes in the morning when I get my coffee the other day there were still donuts in the boxes, LOL Tony says is that jelly donut for me, LOL So now I have to make sure they are empty! LOL I just grab them and shove them in the car!

So that is it!

Seabreeze I am glad you are feeling well enough to think about travels again, you had a rough year to say the least!!!! So glad you are overcoming all these injuries and feeling better!

Amber -- LOL! Tony and I usually stay in on Friday nights too -- sometimes we go out for dinner with friends but most times we lay low. When we were first dating, we used to go out all the time! But I think it is nice to stay in and chill. Look at it this way: you and Tony have a really good relationship and truly enjoy each other's company -- so much so that even simple or mundane activities like watching TV, making dinner or packing and cleaning can still be fun.

Good luck signing up Bobby for basketball. He is such a handsome kid -- and I love how he is such a sweetheart with you. He's growing up to be a good man!

Seabreeze, I am so sorry about your injuries and truly glad that you are on the mend.

Amber: January is the month of action for all Virgos in 2013 -- it is our time to get big stuff done so that the rest of the year will be a breeze. It is also supposed to the luckiest month of the year for us too -- so whatever you do now, will turn to gold!

So we went by the house yesterday and I am having buyers remorse, since it was daylight everything was glaring at me, but like Tony said it is the neighborhood we want and paint and carpet make a world of difference so I am trying to suck it up, but its all the little things I keep noticing like screens missing, light fixtures, ughg the list is getting long and now I am freaking, it doesn't help that there are still no other houses in our price range, which is unbelievable given how slow things were and now all of a sudden everyone is buying! Tony says he is going to do all this work and I am like dude you work 70+ hours a week, how will it get done lets just pay someone to do it, but he insists on doing it himself, ughghg so that means I am going to have to dig deep for patience!

We had a nice early dinner with friends, and then Mr. Romance had a romantic night planned for me! I love hubby!! He was so sweet!! He knows now I am stressing over this whole thing!

Amber, Tony is right -- new paint and carpet will make a huge difference. I felt the same way you did when we bought last summer -- I got buyer's remorse too, which I think is totally normal. Once you fix things up, it will be truly yours and it will feel like yours -- just give it time. My Tony wanted to do everything himself too -- but I convinced him to have the carpet professionally installed and he agreed to that. We then did everything else on our own and actually had fun doing it!

This is a very ardous, stressful process but I promise that you will love your new place in time and you won't have any regrets! Plus, your home will be filled with love -- and that is always the best place to start! xo xo xo!

Thanks Gail I know you right, HGTV proves that time, money and paint make a world of difference!!!!! I do love the house it is just so sad to see what renters do I am glad my house is being sold that would have killed me to rent this place I worked so hard on and see if ruined! We will love it, so many of our friends said to have a painting party so we might just do that! I know Tony agrees not to lay carpet but he wants to install the new hardwood floors I am thinking bamboo. He is a freaking engineer so it must be perfect it will be done right but it will drive me nuts waiting! LOL

Had a good workout with my trainer this morning I missed him! We have a date to go to play poker when Tony is away! I said I needed an Italian fill in when he is gone for a week, LOL

Romantic evening he had candles lit, nice music playing and he was laying there with a big naked grin, LOL It cracked me up! I am always so darn tired I had to put some effort into it! And again I hurt my knee, I said everytime we have a good night like this I get hurt! LOL

Gail- Yes I like bamboo and also cork, I have been reading about cork, people love it cause htey saw it is warm, its fire retardant and it repels bugs! So I am thinking yeah no spiders, LOL Who knew cork did all that? And it is truly green since the tree is not damaged or killed to harvest it, I like that idea!
Can you send me a pic of your floors on Facebook? I would like to see it with furniture and stuff, it is so hard to make a decision, and I am like, geez who knows if this sale will even go through! But even so, we are looking at maybe putting $20,000 into it, and even with that it will still be a great deal, so I am trying not to fret!!!!!!

Yes my trainer loves poker so we have a date, he gets too anxious playing and loses his money so I said I get to be the boss of you at the poker table! I said you can beat me here in the gym, but that night your butt is mine, LOL I really hope I can win some money and surprise Tony, when I was packing the office I found an old cigar box and it had $47 in it, I was like yippee, I almost threw it away and I heard something moving in it! I took down all the scarf valances and washed them, talk about fur and dust covered that was gross, 6 years never did that, LOL Memo to self to do that more often in the new house!!!!

So hoping to move some weight the darn trainer's scale is so much higher than mine and I drank coffee for 3 hours prior to weighing but was still down 5 for the BL contest, not bad considering what all I stuffed in over the holidays!!!

I think the house will look gorgeous. My house was a diamond in the rough when I purchased it. And I stripped wallpaper, replaced carpet and painted. It was gorgeous which resulted in a pretty nice increase in equity for me. I replaced lights and all knobs and handles. It takes time but it all comes together nicely when you do it how you want it done. Just be patient and it will be your dream home... I PROMISE.

Cee and the others are right--the house will be great once you make it yours. There is a commercial that is on right now, I forget what it's for, but it's Tom Selleck's voice and he talks about how the smell of pancakes on a Sunday morning and kids laughter is what makes the true value of a home. I love that and it's so true!
