Enjoy Christmas....

Then see what happens about the house.
Maybe a "new to you" house will "pop up"
or you might still get the one you want..who knows?

Can't remember why your moving. Wanting a bigger house?
Lower house payments? New place for a new life with Tony?
Whatever..you'll find the right one, I'm sure!
Tony is sure a "good packer" among other things he's
good at!

Glad you had a good time in NYC. The 26th sounds nice.
So glad you like your new job and boss.

Merry Christmas in a week.

Hi Amber,

Hang in there.

I once bought a house from a real estate agent in Phoenix. His wife was *very* pregnant, and they had a toddler too. He said they were going to have to move twice!!!

Seriously, if a real estate agent can't pull it off...

I thought it sounded horrible, but he just shrugged it off and said that is just how it goes. He said they just put stuff in storage for a while.

I moved twice when I came to Seattle. I wasn't expecting to move, either. It was crazy. Someone my husband knew (one of his students - he was teaching an engineering class at ASU for a professor on sabbatical) got a job at Microsoft and then he told them they should hire my husband. Within weeks, they hired him.

As soon as I listed my house, it instantly sold. My real estate agent (yep, the same one from above, only it was 16 years later or something) came screaming over to get us to sign the papers.

I then moved into an apartment in Seattle (not easy, the agent Microsoft hired to help us could not find an apartment that would take 3 cats, but I did by surfing on the internet and calling around. My criteria was it had to be an apartment next door to an elementary school. It came true.

Then we looked around for a house. I decided to sign a 6 month lease because month to month was crazy expensive and I thought we would probably buy new construction (we did).

Because my mother was in public housing in Phoenix and I could not leave her there, I had to start over applying for food stamps for her and getting her back into public housing for retired people (Section 8 202). It was a nightmare. I had to move her twice too. OMG...

At the same time, I transferred my job with the same corporation and they did not want to give me much time to move! Microsoft did the same - they insisted he start yesterday. OMG, we lived in boxes stacked to the ceiling. We tunneled through them.

But we survived! You will get through it!

I know people do it all the time, we are just worried that an apt and the storage is going to suck us dry til we close! Last night was new construction but right on the end near a busy road it was so loud and the house was like a stripped Ford, nothing extra at all, so we are back to the one we still like that is in foreclosure, and it might take 6 months to settle, so Tony's job today is looking for an apt and storage!
Yes my house was great for me and Bobby now there is no room for all of us, so I was glad to get an offer and get rid of this one, we already have stuff in 3 storage units since Tony had to store his stuff from his old house! Autumn sleeps on a futon in my dressing room/office, LOL She needs a room of her own, so it will happen, I am praying something nice pops up here after New Years I am trying to remain calm!

I got a raise yesterday totally excited about that, 3 months she said she loves the positive energy I bring to the office and how I deal with people so she wanted to give something, love my boss, she is the best!!! That was one good thing that worked out!! So the house will too, it is too huge an investment to just settle, we want to pick the right one til we sell it and move to AZ!!! Hopefully in 10-12 years!!!

Congratulations on your raise! You will get through this. When we moved back to Boston, we rented and apt and did the storage thing until we found a place to buy a few months later. Yes, it is expensive but manageable and the time will go by really, really fast. Just think of how happy you will be once you are settled in!

Oh my gosh, already using storage...

It sounds like maybe you need a house with a three-car garage! I wish we could have afforded one, since new houses don't have basements, but oh well...

Congratulations on the raise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats..

ON the raise.
Gail was right..said Virgos would come
into some money.

You got a raise and I won $31.50 playing
Bunco!

Sorry that you might have to rent for awhile
but you want to buy a house you want/love.
Big enough for you all and your clothes!
You have to be out by the end of February?
That's two months. Wishing you fast results.
Think Postive for 2013!

Hey Bella that is true we did come into money now we need to come into the Power Ball type of money! The whole thing with this is that Tony is crumbling, he is so upset, and he is always my rock so on top of me being stressed I am trying to get him to be more positive! But I am not settling on a house that I dont love, just to have one to move to, so if we have to wait we wait, he is like I wont be able to do any hobbies in an apt, blah blah, I said for goodness sake it is like 3 months! Chill out! So working on his attitude!
Had retirement party yesterday for the lady at work 24 years she was with State Farm, so many clients came to see her and bring gifts, it was lovely! Autumn is here, so Mom is coming tomorrow night for Christmas with her, Sat to Tony's MOm in the Poconos, and then Sunday we wake up with the kids like it is CHristmas, and then to my family, then I have to take Bobby to his Dad's to leave for FL! Lucky dog but I am going to miss him! So I am going to make every minute count with him!

Bella Rose -- thank you for the shout-out! It should be good month for Virgos in December overall. Amber, tell Tony that those three months will go by super fast. You will be in your new home before you know it! It sounds like you have a good plan for the holidays. I know you will miss Bobby but it will be nice for you and Tony to have some quality time alone together. It sounds like he needs some TLC!

Had a beautiful day at Tony's Mom's yesterday it was snowing like crazy I love their house and the fire was going, the food was delicious, we had a great day! So now waiting for the kids to get up and do Christmas morning! Then off to my aunts, cant even look at the scale I am sure it is climbing, but I dont care, I will worry about that next week! LOL

So we looked at a house, we are going to make an offer, I am not overly crazy about it but it is a nice home not where I wanted to be location wise, and still have to deal with the one high traffic area in the morning, but closer to Tony. One owner and the thing I liked the home was very clean and well cared for, some of these houses we see are trashed, it is ready to move in nothing needed except one garage door opener, there is a big bad hot tub outside that I hope is staying! So we will put the offer in on Monday and see what happens! All of a sudden homes that were sitting are now moving like crazy! Funny!
I hope you all are having a great holiday weekend!

Merry Christmas girls!!!!! Well we see if we hear about the house over Christmas he is coming tonight to have us sign the papers! I am trying to not get excited in case we dont get it. Like I said I like the house dont love the location because I have to still deal with a major traffic area but $4000 less in taxes so that is huge since they only go up!

My little lump is back I am so bummed, my doctor is away until 1/15 so he is going to be shocked, it started around Thursday I am up over 10 pounds in 3 days so I still think this darn thing has something to do with holding fluid! Now the lump is at the end of the incision so I am guessing the lymph channel was not cauterized and is still running around in there somewhere! Ughghg I will deal with that later too much to do!

Bobby left for FL this morning, I am so sad but glad he will be having fun it gives us all week alone to pack. My house is a disaster area! Boxes everywhere its a mess! But thank goodness we sold this house I have been stalking the buyer on Facebook and I saw he is excited to be moving here and the inspection went well he posted so hopefully I wont have to do a bunch of stuff for them!

We had a wonderful weekend with the family and I am going to enjoy tonight with Tony and tomorrow with the crazy family again! All this can wait a day I have 3 churches lined up with different times so we can get to one tonight depending how long this takes to sign the papers!

Enjoy this time with your families, count your blessings, and celebrate!!!!

I love all my LCF friends!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!!

Amber, Merry Christmas to you, Tony and your family too. You are winding down the year on a very high note - great job, wonderful raise, new home and happy marriage, plus Bobby continues to shine at school. And, you look great! So sorry to hear about your lump. Can you see another doctor just to make sure you are okay?

And Merry Christmas to you too, dear.

We had 12 in for dinner last night. Today we go to a club we belong to for their annual Christmas spread. It is really elaborate and fun.

Hope the offer is accepted and you can finish up your packing.
