SB- I dont know why you are going through this but it is for a reason that I hope unveils itself, you will beat this like everything else you have the right mindset!!! Thank goodness you can take your time and go slowly to gain strength, it does come back just experiment to find what is comfortable and go slow!!!

2 weeks of work and workouts!!!! I go to the new bootcamp place tomorrow to meet that trainer guy with my trainer moving to KY, I want him to come to my gym and give me a plan for M-F, I have an hour each morning so I want to make the most of it, like now I do my thing but maybe I could be doing more or something even though I am not losing any weight I am getting stronger, I went up on almost all the weights I am lifting and I feel tighter if that makes sense?

I have Bobby's B-day party Saturday night, laser tag, I love that it will be fun he has 4 friends coming, then I get them pizza and cake afterwards. He is looking forward to it! I also will have my niece and nephew this weekend so that will be fun!

Amber you look gorgeous as always (avatar) and your workouts sounds like they are making a huge difference in your body!! I have become really fluffy over the last couple years since I got away from any resistance training. Muscle matters!! Hope your new trainer is eye candy. I want to hear all about it. Just reading the menu don't you know.

Hey Amber!!

Happy Belated Birthday, huge congrats to Tony on his raise and Happy Birthday Bobby!! Yay! I would love to play laser tag! Glad to hear that things are going well in the workout department! It is GOOD to exercise, the oxygen gets to every cell, the heart pumps, the muscles wake up, the blood circulates...it's all good. We NEED to exercise. I read somewhere "Sitting is the New Smoking"!

Seabreeze - wow, what a whammy but you are soo lucky to have had it contained in a lobe and just have that extracted. Maybe see about some nice walking shoes or Dr. Scholl inserts to help with the back, etc. How about a stationery bike at a gym or something? Best wishes for a continued and smooth recovery on all fronts.

Have a fab weekend, and push the cake away!!!

OMG!!!!!

So a certain Dr with a TV show you know the one, I got a letter from his producer today, I am not holding my breath but sort of, maybe something will happen!!!!!She heard a had a weight loss story to share, LOL OMG is it ever a story!!!!

Totally stokked for the new trainer guy tomorrow, DG I am with you I hope he is hot! Got Robert Eagles cupckes for his party, going to try to not eat one! LOL But no guarantee!! LOL

I never really get to see his show but I get ads with clips of it, I am not getting excited, I hear from the Atkins PR department all the time and nothing happens, so I learned to not get excited!!!

So went to the new workout, OMG it was so hard, harder than the MMX place I was going to lots of running, so I go to do this deadlift and man I heard something pop in my back I am in agony, so I had this massager and now I just feel bruised but life goes on, I am stiff as heck this morning, might have to see the chiro if it doesnt improve!!!

So I am meeting with this guy this morning for a training and nutrition consult to see if he can rope me in and get me going again! He had a book on nutrition which was basically calorie counting and a balanced diet, I had to tell him I cannot eat 300 grams of carbs and lose weight! I also told him about me being a human sponge!! He was amazed 17 pounds in a week! LOL

I have got to get this under control and find someway to start losing I am so disgusted with myself you would have thought seeing 199 on the freaking scale for 5 weeks would have kept me sane but somehow I managed to gain a ton of weight this summer, but I gotta accept it and move on and work on getting it off again, and forget the past! I cant keep dwelling on how disgusted and mad I am at myself.

I understand how it is to be frustrated with ourselves when we don't do as well as we think that we could. I keep getting stuck in stalls and going up and down those same darn few pounds. I know that I can do better. We CAN do it!

Well I am committing with this new guy, he wants me to eat 1800 calories and keep a food record and workout record, I meet with him on Wed night he is going to give me an arm routine to do during the week at the gym, and it includes all his bootcamp workouts, unfortunately I can only do his Saturday class I cant make the ones during the week. Then we get together on Sundays and he weighs me, measures me, and we tweak as needed. I am feeling hopeful, he took a whole bunch of unflattering photos!!! So I hope he can help me get this off, I said I am so disgusted, he thinks once I get a little more strict and a good workout I will see results, I made 175 my goal, that will be exactly 175 pounds lost half my former fat self!!! I think the sheer accountability will be good too, knowing someone is weighing me on Sunday morning will sure help the weekend issues! LIke Frinday night we had sushi but it was some wrap without rice, but still sodium in the soy and so on, I did avoid the cupcakes at Robert's party so that wa s small victory, I think planning and counting is important so maybe just a littkle more careful attention will help! Wait til he sees me become the human sponge, LOL I better not have any trips planned!

RE: human sponge- that reminds me Amber, I recently read that if you get into endurance exercise, your body will increase its capacity to store glycogen. I think that means the swing in weight increases between when you eat carbs and go low carb.

Maybe I read it in your thread, LOL...

SO more bad news, I go to the doctor to get my lump drained, he thinks maybe he needs to put a drain back in it now, he is still reluctant to cut into my incision, so he is going to order a smaller tube than the one I had and he will numb me in the office and insert it for a few weeks, lovely now I am working and will have to hide a big bulb bag of fluid, ughggh, man I am so over this! But I am sick of this lump so I guess that is the plan!

Buffalo chicken in the crockpot was delicious!!!!!

I ate nothing off plan, not even a sugarless mint today! LOL

I'm not feeling too bad. Had a nice walk and wasn't gasping for breath!

We just got back from my new ortho doc, a hand specialist. He is going to operate on the hand at the end of the month and hopefully I'll have more use of it after that. We were impressed with him and the ideas he had for getting mobility. He will then have to operate on the elbow at a later date. I'm not sure there is an end in site!! There will eventually have to be, though.

I'm doing fine with the lung surgery, though. No complications there, thank God!
