Pootie has a real good idea with the jello. It is satisfying but make sure you keep the red and orange ones in the store. They don't want anything red ingested before the test. The best to Tony and his procedure.
I've been rooting for you in the wings and knew that whoosh would soon be coming if your eating was clean. Woohoo! on that bike ride. That is something I have never been able to do. You are awesome! |

Yes I know he cant have red or blue so now I have to make green jello, I have many fears and Jello is at the top of the list, almost 44 and I have never made jello, my fears in top 5 are Jello, clowns, mimes, birds, and bugs, LOL
So I will be making virgin jello, the **** freaks me out how it wiggles and jiggles! Oh dear I had my trianer this morning I almost passed the heck out, I am going to have to eat oatmeal or something on those days got all sweaty and flushed and felt like I was going to faint, tomorrow is hot yoga so I drank some coocnut water and I am sucking down the liquid, another 32 more til I have my gallon in! Going to get my sweet boy and hear about his day, I am making him his requested dinner, roasted veggie and chicken breast, funny huh??? My ass is killing me from that ride it is not really my butt but my VJ and the insides of my legs, OMG they are killing me!

Martini- I gotta get back on the wagon or I could be 300 pounds in no time, it packs back on me like a magnet!!!!!
So today my ex hubby is coming over to help me with the tax stuff for my exam next week I figure that is his business and he is a good explainer, so I bribed him with meat products since his new wife makes him eat vegetarian, LOL I am making bacon, sausage, eggs and coffee no tea, LOL So I hope he will help me! Tony got home late last night and today he starts his liquid diet! Poor guy, I saw he ate pie last night I guess to fill up thank goodness it is shoo fly pie, I hate that, so it is not tempting, I was up a bit today but I assume it is the sweating/water balance from hot yoga I am eating very carefully, except for some really yummy black plums that I swear I never ate a plum so good in my life!!! |

You will do fine on the tests! Glad ex was useful! He has to be impressed with all of the changes you have gone through even if he doesn't say much!
Just back from the pain management doctor and physical therapy. i need the pain doctor after that!! Things are getting better, though. I saw my ortho doctor yesterday and will still need more surgery before all is said and done he said - ugh! I put on pants today - the leg brace is gone YAY, but they are really loose. I have lost about 18 pounds since all of this started. Not a good way to lose weight, but I will take it! Hope Tony's test is OK. My hubby has to have it done again as it has been 5 years since the last one. Hugs to ALL ![]()

Lots of people have not gotten colonoscopies, Tony's step brother had 2 heart attacks and colon cancer at 44 years old so there was no way he was sneeking out of this!!!
Doggie is here he started whining for me again last night so I have to sleep on the couch with him, LOL Tony is freaking miserable he goes at 2:00 today he cant eat or drink anything today, he is complaining and pooping, LOL I am getting the heck out of here and going to the gym, I dont want to be near him! LOL Then I must study!! Baseball started, I am glad my kid plays a sport but it is so darn long, I hate the place I have to drive to, I am in such a bad mood about it already, LOL Tony got an award at work, he has been working so hard so it was like a catalog to choose a gift so he ordered a new camera for himself, that was pretty neat! He got a really nice letter from the President of the Comp, so I was proud of him, he did ask him why he falls asleep in meetings, LOL He says he cant sit there without falling asleep, I said its gettig to be an old man! |

Don't you have to take Tony for the procedure? I had to take DH. They put him out and he was in no condition to drive home. He slept for the rest of the day.
Hope the test is all normal, though. Once it is over with he will be his usual self! Congrats on the award for him. You are both hard workers! Hugs to ALL ![]() |

Yes I had to take him to the appt, he was not allowed to drive afterwards, he was totally knocked out for exam, they siad when they leave people in twilight mode they tend to not want to come back in 5 years, LOL He was really good afterwards, he was a little doozy so we watched movies and relaxed and he was fine, one polyp that they will biopsy but doc thought it looked fine. It was not that big of a deal so if you are over 50 please go get one, and make sure you are OK!!!!!
My dear nephew is up my butt, OMG this dog is now crying and moaning whenever I get out of his sight, it is sort of a PIA, LOL I love him but good grief!!! I went downstairs to fold laundry and threw a big old fuss, I know nothing about dogs, having only had one when I was very young!!!! |

Yeah, that does not have to be normal for a dog. You are looking at poor training-- this is how he was allowed to act to get the attention he wants, so it's all he knows. Raising dogs to be good dogs it tricky manipulation at the dog's level, and it's all on the owner... dogs are just dogs and do what dogs do. If the owner falls down on the job and doesn't convince the dog, in terms the dog understands at a dog level, what is acceptable and not acceptable, then the dog will "raise himself" and do what he needs to do to get what he wants (attention and food.) Obviously this works for him, and he gets what he wants. Even someone yelling at him to 'SHUT THE **** UP!!" is just exciting attention in his eyes, and so he knows whining and flipping out works. Sorry, Amber. Adorable but untrained pain in the butt dogs are the worst, I know, my mom has one. It takes a lot of work to re-train a dog like that, most people don't have the time, know how or inclination to do it, so they just let it ride and live with it. (cough cough my mother cough) Maybe the owner can contact a professional dog trainer to see what can be done?
Look at me being all dog experty! lol. I had a colonoscopy once. I wish I was knocked out for it, that's a memory I don't wish on anyone!!! Last edited by glamazon; 08-31-2012 at 08:36 AM.. |

Hi Amber,
Glad that Tony came through well! That is good news. Good luck with the dog. I agree with the advice that Angela has given you. We also have a poorly trained but adorable labrador that freaks out whenever he is away from us. I am not a "dog person" in the first place. I'm hoping we can get the dog some future training to address some of his behaviors. ![]() Have a great weekend! Hugs, Jenna ![]() |

I think the poor dog gets neglected at home cause of the little kids my sister has and I htink he is so glad for all the attention he gets here, it is sort of sad in a way he is in such bad shape cant see, cant hear, arthritis, so I guess I baby him and he likes it, LOL!!! Now I am paying for it, he was better last night I was going to let him sleep with us, OMG not!!! So I had to put him in his crate and he barked for a few minutes but then shut up! I never felt so loved in all my life though, LOL He is dear, they are coming at noon to pick him up.
Yesterday was a busy day with Bobby he was my NFL draft buddy, so we had lunch at Tony's office Bobby is like a walking staticts book of football, he is so into it, I took him to get some more clothes for winter that he needed, took him to this breakfast place that serves pancakes the size of Texas I was so proud I remained strong and got eggs and meat! And the feature flavor was red velvet that was huge I was like no way am I shoving in all those carbs to cry later! So busy day, now Tony has Autumn for the weekend, and I have Bobby Sunday and Monday so we are going to my aunt's pool. Today about 45 minutes from here is an organic produce and meat tour, they open the farms so you can see how the grass fed cows are raised, buy the meat, take an herb tour, etc, so we might check that out today something different to do, and a new cheese shop opened in town, a real cheese store, I am so excited, I always had to drive to Philly for a good cheese. Other than that I am getting nervous for my exam on Tuesday so I need to spend a good part of the weekend studying. I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday!!! |

Morning Amber!! Have fun with the Fam!! That Organic Produce and Meat Tour sounds interesting. I think I would like that. Yea I have to go Get my growing weed more clothes too. She shot up. She stood next to my Grandaddy who is 6'4 yesterday and she was to his waist!!!
I am 5'9 but my aunt is 6'0, my cousins are 6'8, 6'6, and 6'5!!! Don't stress over the test. Give yourself plenty of time to study and make flash cards or something. Just don't stress. Easier said than done i know. But you will do great.
