Dancing with your kids is great! The other day I had on some techno and my 6yo DD says "this music makes my feet wiggle!" Love it!

I figured I would let the kids stay up with their movie for a little bit so I could get in some cuddles while I typed. I'v got my sweet baby girl in my cuddling with me. It's nice .

So, here is my foodie stuffs:

Breakfast: Coffee and cream

Lunch: Salami, pepperjack cheese, and smoked almonds

Dinner: bbq grilled shrimp, fried broccoli and zucchini (did not turn out good )

I think I may make some coconut bread after the kids go to bed. That is sounding really, really good right about now .

My arm scars are healing that most people dont even notice now unless I say something, my legs and boobs are scary but oh well, they are going to stay that way I guess for some time now.

That arm surgery looks awesome. What a difference! I think that it would be several years at least until our brewery is going and we would have enough $$$ to get it done. Looks totally worth it though

I'm up to 257.2 today from 256.6 yesterday. I'm not worried though. The scale seems to always bounce like tigger but go down in the long run. I'm still confident that I will make next Friday's goal of 254. In fact, I think I might just surpass it!

Even though this is not a low carb thing, I thought it was really cool. My favorite was the "skinny list". Making a list of all the things you will be able to do once your are skinny. I am so making one of those!

[SIZE="4"]
The start of my
SKINNY LIST

1. Be able to shop for clothes that are cute, and not just clothes that cover my fatness.

2. Walk into a room without the knowledge that the first thing everybody sees about me is my fatness.

3. Have tons of energy to keep up with my kids.

4. Be able to have the energy to keep up with my house.

5. Look totally hot in naughty bedroom outfits.

6. Have a cute basketball belly the next time I get pregnant.

7. Not feel bad about myself for gaining so much weight after getting married and having kids.

8. Not feel like everybody is staring at me at functions involving food.

9. Be able to go skiing and look all cute while doing it.

10. Love the camera and pictures instead of running screaming in fright from them.

11. Being able to look at pictures of myself without fighting depression.

I think that I will add more to this list as time goes by. I almost thought of starting a "making your own skinny list" thread. I think that it would be cool if other people wanted to make skinny lists for them selves and give ideas to other people of what to put on their skinny lists. Like if you had something that I really liked on your skinny list, I would go and steal it and add it to my skinny list.

Anybody without a journal who wanted to post a skinny list could feel free to post it on my journal if they wanted to.

There are so many things in life that our fat keeps us from enjoying. Once I realized that my fatness was holding my back from so much, and carbs were holding me prison to my fatness, it made resisting carbs way easier. Lets face it, being fat is like being in prison, like the guy in the video said.

We are our own wardens. We put up bars of carbs and keep ourselves in solitary confinement. I say it's time for a prison break! No more being captive to our fat! No more being the ones who keep ourselves locked up, denying ourselves the freedom of health and well being. No more protecting ourselves from people hiding behind our fat. This prison may be our comfort zone, but it is a PRISON! And we have the keys to get out! We have to just be willing to use those keys. The keys are the knowledge of healthy low carb eating, exercising, and sticking to it. They are not always easy keys to use, but they are the only way we will ever get out. If we stay in this prison of fatness for too long, it will kill us. I'm not going to let that happen! I'm getting out!

Whose coming with me?!!!!!!! We're breaking out! Breaking out into the life we've always wanted. It is ours for the taking. LETS TAKE IT!

AWESOME, AWESOME!!! I am breaking out of Prison too!!! What a great way to put it!!!! Very motivating!!! Love the skinny list. I may have to start working on one. I know that I am definitely going to take the kids to more waterparks and public pools now. I have always hidden in a bathing suit, but when I'm skinny I will no more!!! Its sad how many things we didn't or couldn't do because of our past lifestyle and fatness.

Thanks Melanie! I think I'll be adding to my list lots and lots as time goes by .

All right, today's menu:

Breakfast: coffee and cream

Snack: buttered coconut bread

Lunch: 2 hot links (4 carbs each) and green olives, like 6 or so, I don't remember

Dinner: salad with lettuce, onions, bacon, and ranch and left over chicken

Snack: I have not eaten it yet, but I'll probably have some buttered coconut bread or pepper jack cheese, or both

I think I do better on days that I have a protein drink. Oh, and those protein drinks that I thought had two carbs only have one. It's the chocolate ones that have two, and the vanilla only one. The vanilla taste WAY better! They're the ones from costco that come in this weird cardboard like thing instead of a can. It's not the muscle milk one.

So for tomorrow I will try to have at least one protein shake. Maybe I'll have it for a snack. At only 160 calories, I think it works as a snack rather well even though it has 30 grams of protein. If I have it mid morning I'll probably not be very hungry and eat a light lunch.

My other plan for tomorrow, take a day off. I got the house all nice and clean (well, the parts I have to look at during the day any way ) and tomorrow is my day of rest. So I plan on having fun with the kids, making easy meals, and maybe a nap . I do want to go for a walk with the kids and the dog though. But I don't really consider that work as much as I do fun. If I can keep the kids out of the house during the day it might actually stay clean . I think I want to see what I can take them to do tomorrow. I just looked at the skating rink web site. We might do that. We are supposed to have a high of 60 degrees tomorrow partly cloudy in the morning. So maybe we'll go outside in the afternoon.

Sorry, my boring life alert. This is what happens when housewives don't get out and talk to grown ups often enough . I really need to get out more.

Sounds like you have a nice day planned. Yay for a clean house! Trust me, I appreciate how short-lived it can be lol.

I love your list! It's funny, most of the stuff happen so gradually you don't even notice right away - like not feeling like everyone is staring at your fatness. That was a big one for me - now I'm certainly not skinny, but I'm also no longer fat enough to worry about people whispering about my fatness. KWIM?

Have a great day Melissa!

JC- are they the Premier nutrition shakes from Costco? I drink them---I like the chocolate way more than the vanilla.

A skinny list is a must, you have to have things that motivate you to action!!! I love the breaking out of prison, it really is like that, you really dont realize what a sideline you take to your own life until you become a participant rather than a spectator!!!

mama-
I sooooo know what you mean! A clean house last for like 5 seconds with my kids. They are professional mess makers. Amber said that you home school too? When they are home all of the time it makes things worse!

Amber-
Yes! I could not remember the brand and I was too lazy to get up and check . Do you ever put whole cream in them? Yummy .

Funny, I never though of making a skinny list before I saw that video. I'm almost afraid to put it on my fridge. Right now I have my weight loss goal chart on the fridge. Funny though, I'm not really tempted much at home. My temptations come more when I'm out and about.

Hey Melissa! Girl you are on fire! I love your list! Enjoy your clean house, and time with the kiddos! Trust me, the clean house thing is a never-ending issue esp with teenagers! I think my house was cleaner when I had 3 toddlers running around than I do now!
I'm definitely going to look into some protein shakes. I get kinda hungry during the day, but not enough for a big meal sometimes, so I think these will be perfect add-in.

Have a great day lady!

My weight went up again today. It was 258.4. But I was a bit, um , backed up. So long as my weight goes down by the end of the week. I still want my friday weigh in to be 244 or less. But if it's close.........
