I'm glad your DS is still alive. He's a lucky boy because I don't know what I would have done if I'd walked in there and seen all that poop! I had to drop out of pre-med because of my weak stomach.

Ok, so today was low carb, but I gave up on tracking for the day. Trying to remember which protein bars and shakes, weighing my left over nuts.... Yeah, I'm just feeling way to dang lazy to do that today.

I made a way yummy shrimp curry with lots of veggies and a mountain of fresh basil from the deck container garden. I made a batch of lentils for the fam so they could have some healthy carbs with dinner.

I am soooo loving my new stove! Stir fry is on a whole nother level on 17,000 btu's instead of 9,500!!!!!! Oh I just love that super hot sizzle that gives that delicious brown carmelization while leaving your veggies crisp instead of all soggy. In the past we have actually used the wok on our turkey fryer to get it all super hot . My curry was missing something though. Not sure what .

I did not work out today. I did do an hour on my elliptical, yesterday though. I spend the day grocery shopping today. LONG LONG DAY! I tried so hard to get DS3 in the store child care, but it was a no go . You all should have seen me trying to physically push him through the midget door after carrying him by one arm and one leg and trying to get him inside that room! I was literally trying to shove him with one foot to try to get the door shut with him inside! And yes, if I thought it would work, I would do it again!

One another note, I'm being more brave about taking about weight loss. I'm finding myself totally getting on an Atkins soap box at the freaking store! Never thought that I would do that. I was at costco and they had these wonderful samples (at least they were not brownies!) all over. I was at one of them for lumpia and it smelled sooooooo good! I checked the back of the box and it had like a million and five carbs, and I'm like aww dang I can't have any! The sample worker asked if it was the wheat, and I said no, the carbs. That started a mini conversation about carbs and I blurted out that I had lost about 40 pounds in the last 3 months, the first two months basiclly without any exercise. When I said that this guy did kind of a whiplash look back at me as he was walking by with his family. Pretty funny.

Ok, getting pretty tired and time to get the kids to bed.

Night all!

I forgot to mention that I picked up a bunch of pictures from a camera I found from my wedding! There are a bunch of honey moon pics that are cute. When I get them scanned I'll post them.

THEY FIT!!!!

Well, kind of. A couple weeks ago I had tried on a a pair of size 18 jeans, and could not get the front together enough to even get the button together laying down. I had another pair of jeans, Apt9's from Kohls, that were an 18 and fit. These ones on the other hand...... no amount of sucking it in the "I can make these things fit laying down with your feet on the ground and sucking in for your life" would make these ones button and zip.

Today (drum roll please!) the zipped up!!!! Granted it was in the above mentioned position and there may or may not have been some sweat involved, but they zipped! The had the worlds worst case of muffin top you have ever seen though!

I don't think that I will be wearing those out of the house any time soon. They are just an old pair with paint splatters on them any how. My size 16 Apt9 are my next "victory pair" of jeans. The funny thing is that I almost never wear jeans! I usually wear dresses and skirts, even just around the house. Those loose comfy dresses are probably part of the reason that I got up to 289 in the first place though .

WooHoo! That's the best feeling! I always have a pair of "next goal" jeans around that I try on every once in a while. I don't wear jeans around the house either - give a me pretty dress any day!

Oh you are so funny! And here I thought I was the only one that bought clothes that I couldn't wear with the understanding that I WAS going to wear them someday!

So, I'll tell you this story really quick, lastweek I was at Goodwill store (thrift store) and I ran across a cute J.Jill skirt (probably worth $90 new). I loved it, so I thought its a medium, I know I cant wear it now so Ill just get it and work my way into it, right? So, I got home, and I usually wash everything before I even try it on (OCD), but I just couldn't wait. So, I unzipped the zipper stepped in and thought to myself this is going to stop at my thighs (ugh) but to my surprise it went all the way up!!!! and I zipped it!!!!!

I was so excited, I washed it and wore to church on Sunday!

I totally understand your excitement about your jeans, I guess we are all in this together. Congratulatins!!!

I put this on another thread, and thought it had a place here.

I just realized something. I officially have less than 100 pounds to lose!!!

Ok, so I still have a long journey ahead of me, but.......... I'm also a third of the way to my goal. 98 pounds to go! But, I'll be considered "normal weight" in 88 pounds . So by that standard I am 38.9% to my goal.

Still, 56 pounds down is much better than my denial about how drowned in fat I was at 289. Only problem is that I was in such denial that I see myself as the same amount of fatness now as I did at 289 . That's starting to change now though .

I actually walked by some glass doors at the super market and instead of being like "OH CRAP I DON'T REALLY LOOK LIKE THAT DO I!!!" I was like "Wow! I don't look that bad, COOL!" When I started I felt like getting to the 230's was like this huge thing and I would look so much better. If only my big old hanging belly looked better ! It'll take time, it'll take time....

Congratulations on less than 100 to lose!

I now have 50 to lose, but I could probably go lower on my bottom number too. 150 pounds just sounds so small compared to where I am, but I'm only 5'3,so I could do 130 if my body will! I guess we will see...

Also, thanks for the info. on the fiber gummies. I got them and started on them a few days ago and they really help. I have only been eating 4 a day but I looked back and saw that you were eating 8-10 a day? Did I read that correct?

Thanks again

I did not log yesterday, I just ate. And ate... and ate.....

But, it was all legal lc stuff and I think that I was probably not over 25 carbs. I think... Well, moving on!

Why was I so freaking hungry yesterday? I just wanted to eat all day! Is my body rebelling at losing weight so fast? I probably had some hidden sugar somewhere that triggered me.

Tonight is the golf and wine festival fundraiser! We were not going to go because the tix were $50 each, but last nigh when DH went to a chamber of commerce bbq ( I had to stay home and watch the kids ) and the head of the local small business association gave DH 2 free tix! He knows that we are trying to get our brewery going, and he wanted to help us out. Last year there were several breweries at the festival along with the local wineries. Hey, Napa's not the only awesome place to live .

Soooooooooo..... Do I go and have fun and taste lots of great wine and beer and carbalishes yummies? The truth: probably. But I'll go right back to it in the morning. I'll just try to keep it to a minimum. I hope!

Hey Girl
You were probably just hungry. Beside at one time your body knows you are use to giving it more food. It misses that. So it asked your brain to start sending you signals. It is not smart to enough to say hey we got a food storage here let's get stuff from the bank. No it ignores the bank and send out SOS ( hungry) to you. Pain in the butt ain't.

Looks like my brain and body where in cohorts to make me lose a big ZERO POUNDS this week. But, I've still lost 15 pounds this month total. So I'm not going to freak out....much.

My own fault. The golf and wine festival on Saturday got me going and then over the weekend I did not log my food. I stayed low carb, but obviously ate way too much. But oh they had the coolest food there! Mango cheese rolls and bread crisps topped with caramelized onions, brie, pear slices, and balsamic vinegar. I need a lc version! I see mad scientist like experiments in my kitchen soon.

After having no weight loss this week it's time to kick it into gear. I only worked out two out of seven days last week and have been way, way, hungry! So I was lazy and ate like a pig. Well, at least it was a mostly low carb pig.

I just found out my cousin is getting married in a month. My mom told me about the wedding, I had not gotten an invitation yet. I sure am hoping that I get an invitation! So, my mom said the wedding was the 27th of August. I looked and that's a Monday. So I'm thinking that it is more like the 24th or 25th.

What a great reason to have a weight loss goal! Weddings, the most neurotic of all occasions. Where normal women can become crazed monsters in the blink of an eye and suddenly you feel the need to lose 3 dress sizes over night for fear that onlookers will look on in shock and horror because people will just know that you did not meet your weight loss goals! Oh the horror!!!!!! The horror!!!!!

Well, shock and horror aside it's still a good reason to have a weight loss goal, and buy a new dress. The only problem is that I tend to either give myself goals that are too easy or to hard. Some months are great for weight loss, and some...... well, not so much. What will this month be?

I think it's gonna be what I make it.

Forget the horror lol. You get to get your pretty on and buy a nice dress in a (much) smaller size! What better motivation can you get? You're going to rock it!
