Eggplant? Did somebody say eggplant?!?!???

Another delish way to do them is sliced/salted/sweated/rinsed & dried off.
(1/2" slices). Brush each side w/olive oil and grill 'em!! Be paitent, go for the grill marks before you turn them...Eat as is, or drizzle on balsamic & more olive oil...or sprinkle on some goat cheese or jarred red peppers and roll up.

Anyway, you are DOING GREAT with your weight loss!!! Congrats, and keep going!!

Woo hoo look at you down in the 230's! Awesome work!

I also am a BIG fan of the eggplant. If you pick them correctly you don't even have to sweat them. The trick is to pick the one that is the heaviest for its size (compared to the others). Then it is more solid and less seeds, which apparently are the bitter part.

I live on eggplant here, but its like the italian (I think) kind that are long and skinny and not bitter at all. They are good in everything!

If you ever feel "different" or not your usual self after eating egg plant, know that like potatoes, peppers & believe it or not tomatoes, egg plant is a nightshade & can cause negative reactions to body inflamation. Just FYI for everyone reading...

I've not had as much online time lately, so to all my buddies that I have not visited I'M SORRY!!!!

I've been faking the "I'm a good little housewife" thing and trying to get my house cleaned up. Hey, fake it ti'll you make it, right?

I just got my Neato robot vacuum yesterday. Fun! Very encouraging to get all the crap off of the floor every day. This next months grocery budget will be a bit interesting because of all the $$$$ it cost though . I'll be penny pinching this month for sure to stay on budget!

Both yesterday and Tuesday I skipped exercising. My body is having trouble keeping up with an hour a day on my elliptical. My knees feel better today for skipping yesterday. They were just so sore!

Iam-I will have to look into the eggplant thing! I wonder if it was that?

Today I'm just plan sore. So I'm gonna take what energy I have and devote it to getting my house cleaned. Well, in theory any way.

I spent a bunch of time in the kids room yesterday getting it cleaned up. So guess what happened next? Yes, that's right, the world ended. The Apocalypse came in the form of DS3 and poop. During nap..... On the floor, on the wall, on the bed posts. Yes, even on the bed posts. He took poop and shoved it into the little holes were the pegs go to make it a bunk bed. I had to sit there with lysol and q-tips swabbing poop out of the holes in the bed post !!!!! Not how I imagined spending my evening. He even took a boot and smooshed it in tracks around the room making swerving poop lines in the carpet.

Praise God for Carpet shampooers!!!!

The good news is that my child is still alive and they did not have to cart me away in a stray jacket. And as a bonus I lost weight.

7-1: 248.0
7-2: 248.4
7-3: 246.6
7-4: 245.0
7-5: 247.0
7-6: 246.6
7-7: 247.6
7-8: 246.2
7-9: 246.0
7-10: 242.2
7-11: 241.0
7-12: 241.4 After the past two days of weight loss, I am so ok with 241.4!
7-13: 239.6
7-14: 239.6 I'm just glad I did not gain!
7-15: 240.6 (This was after a BIG cup of coffee!)
7-16: 239.4
7-17: 238.4
7-18: 238.4
7-19: 238.4
7-20: 236.8

I might work out when DS3 takes a nap this afternoon. It is good indoor work out weather. Yesterday was all hot and humid. Today it is cold and rainy with thunder and lightning. Does not feel like summer at the moment . My neglected garden should be happy right about now though .

If he lives!!!

That boy is my constant cause of me scratching my head, dropping my jaw, and sometimes crying . He is into more stuff, more creative, more fearless, than any child I or my husband have ever met. He can fall and get a giant bump on his head and hardly stop before running back to do what got him hurt in the first place again. Some days I'm really glad that God made him so darn cute, sweet and adorable!

Because I am so used to him doing crazy stuff, that the poop thing was "just another day". Granted, more gross than most, but it's not the most surprising thing in the world. Yup, that's my life .

Only 9 carbs and 781 calories ? Huh..........

Well, any how..........

Ok, here is something totally weird. I'm totally not really hungry today. BUT I want to binge on carbs really bad tonight! How does that make any sense!

If we had the cash to go out to dinner tonight I totally would have face dived into burgers with buns and french fries. Good thing we have to penny pinch right now. After buying a new robot vacuum, microwave, stove, and new printer...... Yeah, not a lot left over.

Something cool did happen today though. I looked in the bathroom mirror and it seemed like I saw something different. Like when I looked at myself I could see that my face had changed. My body shape is pretty much the same. I know that it is smaller because the tape measure tells me so, but the shape, what really matters, is still the same. Still the same floppy muffin drop belly hanging down and the same thighs with rolls and cellulite. My back fat rolls are getting smaller though .

So my face is really the only thing that shows change in the mirror. Funny, I'm looking in the mirror thinking "Wow I'll be hot and sexy like a porn star when I'm thin!" . LOL!

The fact is that although I have been just under 180 (I'm 5'5'), I have never seen what my face looks like thin. It's like a mystery to me. Like a box I want to see inside of but have never been able to get it open to look. I want to look in that freaking box soool bad!!!!!!!

I'm watching the biggest loser on netflix and I'm seeing how peoples faces change so much when they lose weight. And, well, I'm just looking forward to meeting that face in the mirror that I have never seen.

That thing about my calories and carbs on top, yeah, that's about to change. I'm gonna chill out with a glass or two of a nice Sangiovese and some cheese and up those number some .

Good night!

JC- Tony always says how my face has changed so much since losing weight, if you go back in my journal a day or two you will see the fat beach pic I posted, it is crazy I hope you are taking pics of yourself! You don't want to look like a *****y porn star you are a beautiful mother, that is nothing to aspire to! I cannot imagine the poo scenario, my kid hating getting dirty, he wore plastic gloves to paint easter eggs, LOL He wouldnt walk barefoot really only in the last 2 years I could get him in the pool without water shoes, LOL I was worried for a bit about him!! LOL OMG he would die before he smeared poop, my little godson, he is like your son, into everything and all things, I am always yelling at my sis, why dont you keep better tabs on him, and she is like I cant he just does stuff so quickly, LOL I always say I am glad I am past all that!

I think my face is the first place to reflect any sort of change. Frustrating I know, but the rest of your bod will catch up soon...and also, you're so used to looking at yourself that you might not see those changes yourself. Willing to bet your hubby sees them! Amber's right, you don't wanna look like a porn star, all used up lookin.. From far away I'm sure they look fantastic,....up close.....uhhhh not so much. You are beautiful NOW! Life isn't going to be magically different when you reach your goal weight, try and celebrate your body just as it is, at this very moment. You're awesome! ♥

Amber and Danielle ~ Yeah you are so right on the p or n start looks! I really don't want to look rode hard and put away wet! . Not that I get the chance to see what they really look like. Having a husband that has struggled with p o rn addiction his whole life, yeah. I'm about as anti porn as you can get. Those poor women are usually just victems and they just don't know it yet .

Ok, moving on..............

7-12: 241.4 After the past two days of weight loss, I am so ok with 241.4!
7-13: 239.6

7-19: 238.4
7-20: 236.8
7-21: 235.4
7-22: 235.0

Ok, guilty admission time .

I was totally expecting a gain after last night! I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries and a big spoon full of ice cream last night for dinner .

I decided to have a no guilt off meal going out to dinner with the fam. I thought that maybe if I did not OD on sugar that it would not make me sick. Well, I skipped the dessert at the restaurant but gave into a big spoon full of ice cream when when I got home. Did not even taste real good .

Any way, after eating it I just wanted to go strait to bed! Why do I always forget how awful carbs make me feel? I was a good girl and entered my bad girl food online and I ended up with 95 carbs for the day!!!!!

And, even though I did not OD on sugar I woke up in the middle of the night and threw up . Maybe that's why I did not gain weight today!

I still have not spent much time on lcf in the last few days. DH has got me on some business stuff he needs some help with. We are looking at a lot for our Brewery that is in a perfect location, we just are trying to see how big a building we can fit in it with the required parking space per 200 square feet of building on the lot that is really long and narrow and they want the building to be 10 feet from the road.

That, and about a million other things Mad Bull Brewing related. I won't bore you with all the details. Mostly because I don't want to think about them at the moment! It's Sunday, I just want to be lazy.

Other than the carb induced we had a nice time yesterday. We drove to Anacortes, a touristy little town on the bay, and went to a brewpub for dinner. It was a beautiful day and the kids were relatively well behaved. Not that they normally misbehave, but DS3 is just such an active child with a propensity to be into EVERYTHING that it can make outings interesting if you know what I mean.

The clouds and cold are back today .

I have taken some time off of exercise the last week. I worked out on Wednesday and on Monday, but that's it. I just felt like my body could use a break. And the weird thing is that my weight loss has stayed the same . Weird. I'm certainly not complaining though! Over 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks! Heck yeah!

The carb monster is trying it's best to pound down my door! Yikes!

I'm doing good, well, mostly. I'm eating all low carb stuff, but not tracking it today. I just don't have it in me today to measure everything I eat. After copious amounts of cheese I think that I finally feel full.

FREAKING CARBS ARE LIKE FREAKING CRACK MAKING ME FREAKING CRAVE THEM LIKE FREAKING CRAZY!!!!!

Kitty, if I find a magic potion I will telleport it over to you! We can sell it and be rich beyond our wildest dreams!

Back in reality though, the closest thing to a magic potion is eating a bunch of fat rich food until you are not hungry anymore. Enter: magic cheese! I ate two cheese sticks with salsa and made cheddar fried cheese chips and had those with salsa as well.

Now of course I'm sitting here like a bloated wale and don't want to eat anything. Well, I could still eat a doughnut, or 10. There's always room for carbs, but not for healthy food! How does that work ?

Chilling out at home today ignoring housework and hoping that the family will somehow magically forget that dinner is a meal so I don't have to make it. Freaking reality! Why do you plague me so!

OMG I hear ya. Whatever you do- DON'T GIVE IN!!! I joked today when someone offered me dessert that if I had one bite of it (a yummy smelling, gooey cinnamon roll) I'd attack the whole dish like a ravenous monster. I didn't taste it, but had a sf frozen mousse instead.

Great idea with the cheese! I hope the cravings ease up for ya soon
