Hi Melissa!

I am here to confess - I read your entire journal last night and man what a ride that was! You are just amazing woman! Love the writing style - fun, bubbly, and dead honest. I am so rooting for you to reach your goals. I can also really relate with so many things you said. Much food for thought in here

You've singlehandedly motivated me to make a race through the 250's and hit that special under 249.8 number asap.

The house looks fantastic and what a nifty stove!

Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber

There is my food for the day. 1,187 calories and 11 carbs. In reality the carbs are a bit higher. My online food journal listed my stir fry as 0 carbs, but even though it is the sugar free stir fry it did have a little bit of veggies in it and soy sauce. So maybe more like 15 or 16 carbs.

I'm getting some carb cravings for things like cereal and stuff. Blah.

I think that the coconut oil is starting to kick in though and suppress my cravings. I discovered something evil: blue bunny chocolate dipped caramel vanilla swirl low carb ice cream bars! Did I just make you hungry? 4 net carbs each, so not super safe, but doable.

My weight is at 246.0 today. But, my weight was 246.0 this morning and it was also 246.0 after working out today. I did my usual 60 minutes on my elliptical. We are actually getting some sunshine, so it is a bit hotter in the house. My workout was a bit sluggish. I like to work out before breakfast in the morning. But today I worked out in the afternoon. Normally my workouts just feel so good I have to make myself stop. Today I was having to actually push myself. Oh poor me!

I'm still kind of sore from yesterdays hike and beach combing. We had a blast. I packed a picnic for the fam (we have to watch our pennies after spending all the money on floors, a new stove, and a new microwave) and drove down to Anacortes which is on the puget sound. We picnicked at the park and then went for a little hike on the park trail. The park trail took us around a small peninsula with views of the bay and islands. It was so pretty and the weather was so nice. I actually got a sunburn, yes! On the trail there was a way to get down to a rocky beach down a stair way and we traipsed all over and let the kids have fun inspecting tide pools and stuff.

My little part monkey part mountain goat 3yo son Eli was all over those rocks like a pro! He was climbing rocks as tall as I am with no fear and negotiating the rock shore with ease. Scary.

So, I may be sore today, but we had a blast! It was worth it .

Hey hun, the floors look great!! And a new stove I always wanted one of those with a power burner in the middle like that, I will be curious how the convection oven is, my aunt has one and she loves it.

Looks like the weight is coming off you are doing great!! Missed all your posts!! I had some JC withdrawl, LOL

I have this stuff I get at Home Depot, it is called Zep-hardwood and laminate floor cleaner, you spray it on and wipe it off, but it makes the floor so clean and no slippery residue, my guy told me not to use steam on my laminate floor? Or water?? Maybe bamboo is different???

7-7: 247.6
7-8: 246.2
7-9: 246.0
7-10: 242.2

27.6 pounds in just under 12 weeks. Of course, my past fatitude had me at my highest of 289. I think I'll put this in biggest loser terms for myself. They go by %'s.

Lets see.... 289-242.2= 46.8........46.8/289= 16.2% of body weight lost. That is over 1% a week, COOL! Granted on the biggest loser they lose more like 3% a week, but I'm at home and cant work out a million hours a day. I call it good if I can work out 1 hour a day. And the first 8 weeks I did not exercise like, at all!

I think I'm finally getting the hang of this getting not fat thing!

Okay. I HAVE to ask. I tired of trying to figure this out. How do you copy and paste your menu on here without it being all messed up? When I do it's one item at a time going DOWN the page and not across.

Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber
*You've earned 350 extra calories from exercise today

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So 1,184 calories and 12 net carbs.
Boy I am stuffed from dinner. Yummy taco-ness !
Feeling kind of drained today. Physically and emotionally. I pushed it a bit hard on my elliptical today. Normally I do 60 minutes and I'm just fine. Today I turned up the resistance a bunch to get my heart rate higher for the last 25 minutes. Bad idea for my back. I am way sore. Not the "I had a good work out and my muscles can feel it" sore. But the "I pushed too much and my fybro is making me want to cry from pain" kind of sore.
I guess I just have to stick with the longer workouts with the lower resistance. But, I gave it a try.
On to better things: ONLY 2 MORE POUNDS TO GO TO LOSE A TOTAL OF 50 POUNDS SINCE MY HIGHEST!
I'm changing my stats to reflect my highest weight instead of my starting weight. I was 289 at my highest. So when I get to 239 I will have lost a total of 50 pounds.
Hey, every milestone, no matter how small or big, is a reason to celebrate. So if I have my highest weight of 289, and my starting weight from April 18th of 276.6, I just get to have more milestones to celebrate . So when I hit 239, I get the milestone of 50 pounds. And when I hit 237.6 I get the 40 pound milestone .
What can I say, I know it's just head games, but I still like it .
