I worked out like crazy this morning to try to make up for Saturday and Sunday being my day of rest. I did 2 hours on my elliptical this morning!!! I hope my knees don't give out !

I so need the hot tub this afternoon. I was feeling pretty good working out this morning on my elliptical. I was only going to do an hour, but was rocking it so well that I decided to keep going. I was feeling a bit guilty about eating so much yesterday and eating carbs yesterday.

I'm liking this working out before breakfast thing. I think that I feel better during my work outs. I even felt good enough to go strait to speed race housework mode. You know how you clean when you find out somebody is coming over in 20 minutes and your house is a mess? Well I spent over 2 hours doing that around my house right after working out.

And..... I sure needed to. The kids took advantage of my preoccupation with my elliptical to make a total disaster in the living and dining rooms. I though the house was already a mess. Apparently the house could get worse, much worse, than I ever thought it could. Over a pound of butter, a costco bag of chips, at least one loaf of the expensive bread, three heads of lettuce....... ALL OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:m ad:

I'm wondering if God gave me the messiest kids on the planet, or if I created the messiest kids on the planet. I need to be more on the kids like stink on you know what. I'm determined to become a total hard nosed mom!!!! I'm just such a laid back person by nature. It's hard to go against my nature. But if I don't want my kids to end up in jail when they grow up I need to do it.

Well, on the bright side I can just think of all the calories I burned cleaning it all up! I went ahead and entered it into my online food and exercise journal as exercise!

The end of the day has come. My gain on the scale has not caused an apocalypse, my head to explode, or masses of people appearing on my doorstep shaming me for my lack of success. The world did not end. Thank goodness!

I'm hoping that my pre breakfast workout helped to burn off any remaining glucose stored in my cells and helped me to get back into full on glorious ketosis. I ate pretty good today.

Here it is:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
14 net carbs and 1,086 calories. Well, so far any way. There is some low carb no bake cheese cake in the fridge that may just magically end up in a bowl in front of me later .
I'm happy to report that my knees did not totally revolt at their abuse earlier of 2 strait hours of the elliptical. I was a bit worried. I'm tired and sore. But, not much more than normal. So I consider it a win .
I want to get on my elliptical again tomorrow morning before breakfast (with the kids locked in the family room with me so that they can not massacre the house again) and work out. My goal is an hour. But if I feel like doing more I guess I will. Maybe I'm just watching too much biggest loser. Watching Jillian with her beautifully masochistic 4-5 hour a day work outs and the contestants "there is no way on earth that a normal person could do that at home" weekly weight losses.
Funny, I started watching biggest loser and I though that Jillian was a heartless crazy drill sergeant. Now I think that she is a big hearted crazy drill sergeant. If I was on I would take either her or Bob, would not matter. They are both crazy and great in their own twisted ways. I'm on season 5 and I am SO glad that Kim Lyons is GONE! She was so annoying!!!
Glad your back on track Biggest Loser is my favoritist show to DVR. I always look forward to the next season. It's very ispiring to see people that are so obese and out of shape and very unhealthy get up and start vigorously excercising without falling over and dying If I were on Biggest Loser I'd be the one crying and laying on the floor screaming and kicking my feet begging for mercy. I'm sorry but if Jillian or Bob or even Dolvett yelled in my face like they do I'd crumble right there on the floor with my little heart broken
So 12 net carbs and 750 calories. I think that Ketosis is totally set up house again . So not hungry today. I forced myself to have a protein drink after my work out. And tonight I made some mad good curry and was all set to chow down. But I could not even finish my bowl! I ate a little over half of what I put in my bowl. And they are not big bowls! I would expect to eat like two bowls to fill me up. Well, I can't go wrong if I just listen to my body to tell me when to stop eating. Even if I only ate 750 calories. Weird that it ended up such an even number .
Even though I'm not hungry, I am still having a bit of a sweet tooth. Does that make sense. Like you don't want to eat anything, unless it's cake or something. Seeing cake and ice cream on the bob the builder show my kids are watching is not exactly helping!
I worked out for an hour this morning on my elliptical. My workout today was not as good as yesterday. I ran out of my thyroid meds and am really tired today. Where as yesterday I did not want to stop working out, today I had to push myself to keep working out. But, I did it.
The scale went back down to 248.2, same as it was 4 days ago. My scheduled goal of 244.4 on Friday is looking like a long shot. But, if the woosh fairy comes............. Well, I'll just do my best and know that that is all I can do. But if I do meet that goal I will be so excited!
I'm really excited to get to 247.6 or under. That will be my 30 pound loss mark since starting in April 18th. Maybe then I'll feel like I've lost more than just "water weight". Know what I mean? I feel like I'm still at the point that if I went off plan for a week I would gain it all back. I wish I had not gone off plan on Saturday. Next time I am about to go to a party remind me how much I'll regret it if I go off plan, please! I would already be at 245 if I had not gone off.
Bummer, but moving on.
I hope I can do another morning work out tomorrow. My muscles are feeling pretty tired. I hope my nap helped to rebuild and rest my muscles.
Hun I hope you make your goal but know that you are doing great and making lifestyle changes no matter what!!!!!! Can you see it in your clothes now? Sounds like 30 pounds is a good goal to go and buy yourself something new, a little tight so you can keep shrinking but just a little symbol of what you have done!
Great idea! What a great way to keep marking progress. I think I'm gonna do this because the scale refuses to reflect what's really going on.
Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber
*You've earned 300 extra calories from exercise today
24 net carbs! Yikes! Not too bad, just more than I usually have. Only 1,069 calories today. Better than yesterday's.
Having some major carb cravings!!!! I am feeling irritated with DH and DQ is calling me to the drive through. BAD! It was probably that stupid yogurt I had earlier. I still have a bunch left to eat. Maybe I'll pawn them off on the fam. I am so tempted to go and pig out in the drive through and then come home and "get rid of it". It's my "I want to punish my DH" thing. I don't know why. He hates it when I purge. So when I binge and purge, or just plain purge, I feel like I am punishing him. Yeah, stupid on so many levels.
Must. Stay. Healthy!
Binging and purging is not healthy. I want to be a good example to my daughter. That is why I am losing this weight. Well, one of the reasons any way. She is 6 now. If I am binging and purging she is going to start catching on soon. I think I'll go and have an atkins bar as soon as the kids go to bed. I'll be over carbs, but oh well. Better to subdue the carb addiction beast and go a little over.
Ok, sorry for the TMI stuff. I'm normally more positive. But right now it's getting pretty hard to stay positive when everyone around me is being negative.
Ok, onto the good stuff.
THE WOOSH FAIRY PAID A VISIT!
I went from 248.2 to 245.4. The weight is coming off so fast I'm getting dyslexic almost saying 254 instead of 245. Then I'm like "wow it really is only 245!". Well, only being a relative term. I was looking at the calendar and noticed that from 3 weeks ago I have lost exactly 10 pounds.
This working out before breakfast thing seems to be upping my weight loss quite a bit! I sure could use it. I am at such an uncomfortable weight. I sure would like to not be considered "morbidly obese"
I just looked it up and I would have to be 205 to be considered ONLY obese and not severly obese or morbidly obese. I've been fat my whole life. I'm pretty used to it. But I am suddenly really bothered by it. Not that I was not bothered by it before. But right now I am very motivated to lose weight and I am in a place that I KNOW that I can do it. Once I get closer to 200 I will feel much better about my health. I know that the closer you get to your goal weight, the more weight loss slows down. So maybe I just really want to capitalize on the fact that right now when I weight so much, the weight comes off faster right now. I really want to maximize that current advantage.
Or maybe I just want to sprint into "not as fat" land. I am so tired of almost always being the fattest women in the room everywhere I go. Most everywhere you go there are fat people. Lets face it, we live in a fat nation. And the low fat high carb propaganda employed by every agency in the country, and even the government itself, has only hurt that. If I was only as fat as the other women, lol! I can't wait to be the skinny one that everyone asks how I lost all that weight.
Hun you are sooooo hard on yourself, you are doing fantastic focus on the positives and you must not binge and purge, that is soooo unhealthy, just keep doing what youa re doing and you are going to get there, we didnt pack the pounds on overnight and it takes some time to get them off but then they are going to stay off, so enjoy the journey it is much more fun than arriving and maintaining, let me tell you!!!
I am sure the morning work outs are good for you they say it is the best time to work out!
Yay for the whooosh fairy!!! Send her my way! I need her!
I was told years and years ago when I did LC the first time that when you are wanting to pig out it means that you are losing weight and your body is fighting it. I don't know if that is true or not. So when I feel the urge to pig out I think to myself, "I'm losing weight now, if I pig out I will stop the process".
KUTHW!!! You're inspiring me
Great job on the loss! Hang in there honey, slow n easy you WILL get there! Love yourself through everything, especially the bumpy parts and know that you are worth more than putting your body through bingeing and purging. We all believe in you, so keep on believing in yourself!
So that makes 14 net carbs and 1,039 calories. It's pretty low because I got kind of sick after lunch. I was doing the whole laying on the couch trying to not puke for over an hour thing. Hot wings are just evil good. I ate 9 of them, and I really only needed 6.
I am wondering if the coconut oil I put in my protein shake this morning did something. I only put in 1/2 teaspoon because I have heard that you should start out slowly. I was laying on the couch burning up and being cold alternately and sweating a lot. After the nausea passed for the most part I was just HOT HOT HOT and felt really weird. Keep in mind that over here in the pacific northwest we don't have the summer heat wave the the rest of the country is having. It MIGHT have gotten to 66 today.
So, I just forced myself to have a protein drink for dinner and made the fam grilled cheese. I had a couple of the pickles at the table, and for some reason they really hit the spot. I think I might need more salt in my diet. I can never seem to get enough salt. Good thing I'm a salt fiend.
I kind of grazed over it, but I hit two cool milestones. Being under 247.6 I have officially lost 30 pounds since I started 10 weeks ago (42.4 pounds down from my heaviest earlier in the year). Pretty cool. And second, being under 247, I am officially the smallest I have been since I was pregnant with my daughter, who is now 6! So not only have I lost 30 pounds in 20 weeks I am the smallest I have been in over 6 years.
I still don't feel any different. Like, I can't tell any difference in how I look. But I think that has more to do with the fact that I was in denial about how fat I was before. I guess to me fat is fat. Whether I'm 225 or 275, I see myself as fat. I think that is changing though. Now that I am losing weight I want to realize that while, yes, I may still be over weight, I'm not as fat as I was. I'm gonna enjoy 225 this time much more than I did last time. Before I had gained up to 225. This time I'll have lost down to 225. I'm gonna own it.
Yeah for the loss!! I focus on how much I've lost & how much more I want to lose daily. I think that's helped me never stop trying this year. In the past if I focus on what I've done for too long I'd justify eating cause I've lost this much or some other ridiculous idea. So by patting myself on the back for my loss each week but following with the big picture ideal weight I am reminded I have more to do.
You are doing so great!
I wanted to run away to day sooooo bad! I lost count of how many times my DS3 pooped all over the house and he also spread a 5 pound bag of mozz cheese all over the living room floor like it was a pizza. Even the dog could not eat all that. Although I'm sure he tried and he'll fart his cheesy little heart out because of it with his super powered skunk butt.
I don't have a working vacuum, and my kids took apart the broom and lost the head. My living room, dining room, hallway, and stairs are currently sub flooring. So I can't use my dust mop. Did I mention that DS (dang son!) pooped on the sub floor that happens to be the exact same color of his poop and then stepped in it tracking it all over? Yeah, it's like playing hide and go seek with camouflaged poop. Recreational drinking is sounding pretty darn good.
My son got poop all over his room, in the hallway, in the family room...... I've got about 5 extra loads of laundry to do now. And I am having bamboo floors installed tomorrow. Translation: DH is installing bamboo floors tomorrow, after over a month of living on sub floor.
So after a day where I wanted to run away, my oven would not turn on when I went to put a pan of chicken in........ I was soooooooo close to just ordering a pizza. Thankfully when DH got home the oven magically started working for him . So we had chicken thighs for dinner and not pizza.
I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring. I won't be able to access my kitchen to cook while the floors are going in. I may just order pizza before the weekend is over. I don't know.
My online food journal web site is down so I cant bring over my menu. Not real riveting reading any how. A bit over on carbs. Probably at least 25, and about 1400 or 1500 calories today. I had baked potato toppings on my broccoli, yummy!
Ok, brain is done. Tomorrow is another day!
