Ok, I need some tips.
This weekend we are going to a lobster mania party at a friends house. The invite says: "Please bring your own drink, meat of choice, crustacean of choice and a side dish." I could use some ideas. I'm not a big lobster fan. I like crab cream cheese stuff though. They usually have fresh seafood on fridays at costco. So I'm thinking crab. Ideas ideas ideas!!!!!!! Lordy, those Atkins snack bars just make me bloat up like a balloon. The meal bars I can eat no problem but I won't lose, but those snack ones... yikes!
I just don't buy em anymore, so not worth all the agony ![]() I have tried the carbmaster yogurts but I cannot get past the ultra slick sweet aftertaste when I've had them. So I just buy plain full fat yogurt and strain my own and sweeten. Like Amber says tho, probably better to eat the yogurt rather than the bars! |

Totally weird. I tried to eat as much roast beef as I could tonight to fill myself up so I would not get snacky at night, and I still only at about 360 calories worth of beef. I'm not trying to do the super low calorie thing. Just trying to eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. Have any of you ever been like "I hardly ate today but am not hungry". I feel like I ate a bunch. -Lots of cream in my coffee for breakfast. -Protein shake for lunch. -about 6 ounces of roast beef with buttered green beans for dinner. Oh well. It's not the calories that count anyway. I mean, Isn't that what ketosis is all about? Turning your body into a fat burning machine? And if your body is burning fat for fuel, wouldn't it make sense that your body would need less fuel if it is using it's own? I don't really care about the calorie counts, I just want to make sure I'm losing weight in a healthy manner, you know what I mean? I am very hopeful of seeing the 240's tomorrow. Oh, I almost forgot. It's the 18th! It's my two month Atkinsversary! Today is officially two months since I've started Atkins. I've had only two slip ups that only lasted one meal each. My total weight loss is 26 pounds! Yeah, I guess I'm tooten my own horn . But what the heck, why not?![]() I'm starting to to try to drink more water. And when I say water, I mean water in any form that includes sugar free stuff like crystal light. I bought a gallong sun tea jar and filled it up. I also put a water bottle in the freezer and used it as a giant ice cube inside. I have not gotten it all down, but I've drank quite a bit so far. I may yet be able to finish it tonight.

FINALLY IN THE 240'S!!!!!!!!!!!
Even bigger news than that is that I am down a full 40 pounds from my highest. I was at 289 at my highest earlier in the year, probably like January or Feb. I started on April 18th at 276.6, so I have not lost 40 pounds on Atkins. The other 12.4 pounds were a combo of getting sick and losing some weight and eating practically nothing all day. Not really great ways to lose weight. I still don't see myself as different than I was at 289. I'm not sure if that was because I was in denial about how big I was, or I still see myself as as big or what. My clothes for the most part are all pretty lose fitting to begin with (lots of dresses), so there are not too many pieces of clothing to tell me I've lost weight. Fitting in those jeans and that pretty blue dress was pretty cool though. I have some other jeans that I don't fit yet that I am looking forward to fitting into. Maybe I should be doing a weekly try on of some of my too small jeans. That would be fun/horrifying. It's always a slightly disturbing sight to see your blubber overflowing denim in costco size muffin top jiggles. And yet, when you fit into them, so awesome!I don't know if I'm gonna work out today. My back is pretty sore and I have a lot to get done. That, and I'm not supposed to use my elliptical because a part on one of the foot pieces is broken. It's still usable, I just run the risk of breaking more stuff on it. But it has a 5 year parts warranty, so can't I just get those parts replaced too? |

So once I get under 247 I'll be the smallest I have been in over 6 years!!! ![]() I'm not sure where I'm going to me on Friday, my weigh in day. 247.6 is my scheduled goal, but I was above last weeks scheduled goal, so it's less likely to happen. But, 2.2 pounds by Friday could happen. My body seems to bounce quite a bit. So who knows. Either way down is good |

Weird. 1,306 calories. I was sooooooo wanting some of the stuff I was making the kids Popsicles with! I probably had a few extra carbs licking the cup . I wanted to make the kids something healthy that would satisfy their "the ice cream man is here!" cravings.Here is what I put in them: Half and half agave necter frozen berry mix of blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries bananas I just put it all in my food processor and then into little disposable plastic cups, covered them with plastic wrap, and stuck a stick in each cup. I wanted to get some "real" popsicle makers, but I could not find any when I went to the store. . This worked well though.The kids were going NUTS over it! I let them each have some of it unfrozen and my ds3 is all "its like ice cream!!!!". When I was at costco the other day I bought two things of half and half by accident instead of whole cream . So I need to find ways to use half and half. I was thinking of getting some local honey and making the fame some ice cream. The pops work to though. Not much going on today. I got as much housework done as I could, which wasn't enough . My back is extra sore today for some reason. I still have not heard from the elliptical company about the broken part. I emailed them the other day and today I called and left a message. I'll call again tomorrow. I need my freaking elliptical!!!!! I think my pain levels are actually less on day's that I work out. All the endorphins maybe? ![]() See ya'll tomorrow! |
