My tummy is happy right now . I had made some cilantro lime chicken last night. Sounds good, right? Well, it wasn't. But I could not stand to throw half a package of chicken drumsticks (even if the whole package only cost less than $5). So I stripped the meat off of the bones and boiled it to get the weird flavor out. Then I used it to make chicken and cream cheese stuffed Anaheim peppers. I only ate 1 and I am FULL! I mixed the chicken meat with some of the roasted green chilies I had roasted and frozen, 1 1/2 cups cream cheese, 1/2 cup diced onions, 2 tbls butter, green onions, and about 4 oz mozz cheese. I stuffed the peppers lengthwise and covered them with a mixture of green onions, 1 1/2 cups sour cream, and the other 4 oz of mozz from the 8 oz package. Yeah, the package is the only way I knew the amount . Oh, and a hand full of mex shredded cheese on top.Could have used more roasted green chilies, but it was still darn tasty! ![]() That had so much fat in it I don't think I'll be hungry till tomorrow at lunch . Gotta love lots of fat in your meals After a good meal like that I always seem to get a sweet tooth. I'm gonna wait until after the kids go to bed and have a LITTLE treat .Big bummer though is although my mood is way better, my back is KILLING me . At dinner I had to switch hands for my fork because it was hurting my back too much to lift my fork with that hand. Then I could not cut the pepper. So I had to get my curvy knife ( you know those alaskan ones?) and use my right hand to cut up my food and then keep my right elbow on the table and eat with my right hand to finish dinner. I'm left handed, so it was a challenge . Hopefully I will fell better tomorrow. I'll try to do some more stretching. That helps. I already soaked in the hot tub. I wonder if I hurt myself because I did not stretch right after using the elliptical for 77 minutes. Or maybe because I used the elliptical for 77 minutes. Or maybe because I got to be close and personal friends with the pick ax yesterday. ![]() LOL! ![]() You would think that I would have learned by now...... Yeah, I'm kind of a slow learner. But, the cool thing is that while I was working out all of my endorphin kicked in and I was not in a bunch of pain. I was actually in less pain when I was working out then afterwards. Neat. Now I know that I can't predict weight loss on the scale by how good I do on eating and exercising. But it sure would be nice if I saw some results on the scale in the morning .

Way to go on the elliptical!!! Thats amazing.... but it sounds like you might have overdone it a bit. Poor thing not being able to eat right. Take something and call it a night.
Those peppers sound yummy. I will have to try that. DH would love it too. Kind of sounds like stuffed jaleponos a little. |

Hey Melissa!!!
YAY on the working out!!! But sorry you were in sooo much pain. You may have to gradually work your way up. And yes, working out is very theraputic for me too. Those endorphins work miracles don't they. THAT PEPPER sounds soooooooo freaking good. OMG. I have to try it and I don't even like peppers like that. LOL |

I had not added the sour cream yet and had 18 net carbs for the day. I made a pretty good chicken taco soup with "fire roasted tomatoes". At least that's what the can says. Gourmet huh?
![]() I did my elliptical for 50 minutes today. After my workout I did some stretching and went into the hot tub. I think I need to make sure my housework is done before lunch. Or at least before my work out. It seems like after lunch time just flies and after my workout, stretching, and hot tubbing, suddenly I'm way relaxed and then my son wakes up from his nap and things just get harder to get done. Breakfast Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber Heavy Whipping Cream - Heavy Whipping, 0.46 Cup 380 3 41 2 0 Add Food Quick Tools 380 3 41 2 0 Lunch Nuts - Almonds, 1 oz (23 whole kernels) 164 6 14 6 3 Premier Nutrition - High Protein Vanilla Shake - Subtract Dietary Fiber From Carb , 11 fl oz 160 1 3 30 2 Add Food Quick Tools 324 7 17 36 5 Dinner Roasted tomato chicken taco soup- Low carb, 2 serving(s) 157 13 2 21 2 Dfac - Sour Cream, 6 Tbsp 180 3 15 3 0 Add Food Quick Tools 337 16 17 24 2 Snacks Premier Nutrition- Net Carb - High Protein Chocolate Shake, 1 shake 160 5 3 30 3 Add Food Quick Tools 160 5 3 30 3 Totals 1,201 31 78 92 10 Your Daily Goal 2,376 326 79 89 27 Remaining 1,175 295 1 -3 17 So 21 net carbs and 1201 calories. Not including the sugar free candy I am eating right now and too lazy to enter at the moment. So, plus another 3 or so carbs. Not great, but still under 25. As long as i keep it under 25, I think I'm good. Oh my, I just realized that tomorrow is the big day. I knew it earlier, but had forgotten. Tomorrow is...... MY OFFICIAL WEIGH IN DAY TO SEE IF I MET MY GOAL! ![]() So, at the risk of being repetitive, my goal is 249.8, but my regularly scheduled goal is 250.8. My weight today was 251.6. Last Friday it was 253.8. So, we'll see what happens. I really want the 240's! But, they will still be there soon if not by tomorrow. Either way, whether I meet my goal or not, tomorrow I'm gonna work hard and do what I need to do to lose this weight. I work towards my goal so that I can make my goal work for me. I don't know if that makes sense or not. Thanks all for your encouragement. It really keeps me going! ![]() |

omg I miss 2 days and it takes me 20 minutes to catch up, LOL Glad you had a whoosh, I am sure the carpet ripping didnt help your back, LOL My cat is pooping on the carpet in the basement I am like WTH? I am so pissed!!!! Have you tried some other whole grain carbs instead for your family, like quinoa, whole wheat cous cous, whole wheat pasta? Those are better quality carbs than white flour. I had the kids pull out one of their favorite snacks and look up the ingredients, they were shocked, my son is a little label reader now he will be like cant get this bread it has HFCS, or whatever in it, LOL I am glad I worry about him cause he likes to eat, and he has bad genetics with me and his Dad, so I tell him how important it is to eat healthy food and exercise, I think he is OK for now since he is so tall and growing so fast, but I worry when puberty passes. I get that magazine Clean Eating, lots of recipes the whole family likes. I go through every month and pick out 8-10 new recipes to try.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for you to see 249 that is a huge milestone!!!

That's funny, my dog seems to think it's okay to poop on my kitchen throw rug.
He's always done it so I don't usually have anything on my kitchen floor but every once in a while I'll throw one down just to see and it's like he thinks he's suppose to do that and he does it. I don't get it? ![]() YAY YOU! on the loss! I really need to start working out. I think it would make things easier for me AND relieve some stress ![]() |

Well, I did not meet, or beat my goal today
. But, that means that I can be all the more excited if I can beat it next week ![]() My weight was 252.2 this morning. So I actually gained! LOL! Ha ha, shows me! That's ok, I'm not going to take my scale acting like tigger to seriously. As long as it's going down in general, that's all that really matters. Of course I'm trying to be all mature and and logical about all this. But dang I wanted to meet that goal! Still, 252.2 (higher than yesterday's 251.6) is down from last week's 253.8. Oh well, moving on...... Still, I did start my period today (again!). So I should take that into consideration. Ok, I'll quit rambling. For now any way. ![]() |

Hang in there honey, you already know what the number is all about. It means nothing today. TOM is here, you're working out...lots of factors going on. The trend is what we're focusing on, and you my dear, are definitely on the right track!!
You are more than a number, and so am I. We have more to offer than what it says. All the great changes made in health are the benefits we want, the weightloss is the bonus on this great lifestyle we have.

NOTHING wrong with vanity hon. None whatsoever. I just want you to always remember that you are so much more than the number. Have you done measurements or taken pictures along your journey? I bet there's stuff going on there that you aren't seeing.

. I'm thinking of more starchy veggies and stuff for their carbs. . My DH discovered a new bread at costco. It's daves killer bread. The kids like it to! Of course, there is always Mexican food with corn chips. A good old stand by.I'm glad your little man is liking eating healthy. I think that all of us moms who have weight issues worry about our kids. Thankfully, both of my kids seem to be at healthy weights. I'm hoping to just keep healthy food options available and have the habits of an active life style. Which of course means that I have to be the one to get those habits going. I have been overweight and tired for most of my life, so I'm pretty lazy naturally. It's something that I have to work on. I'm hoping that in a few years we can move into a place with some acreage for the kids and maybe get some horses. I would also LOVE to have a basketball/tennis court. Right now our house is on a slope so we can't exactly play basketball outside . But that will be a while. So it's life in the burbs for now |
