Good morning! Gosh these weekends are so busy and they go so fast! I stayed pretty much on plan all weekend. It was so hard though. I wanted to have a couple beers and watch the playoff games on Saturday! For some reason I feel like I'm retaining water? My rings are tight in the mornings I'm going to try and drink lots of water today, I've only been averaging 3-4 of those 16.9 ounce bottles. It's cold here so it's kind of hard to drink.

My weight this morning was 203.4 - scale was being weird though. I saw 204, 204.4, 203.4, etc... So, I took the one I saw the most which just happened to be the lowest Today is VLCD #9 and it's not getting any easier At least it's not the weekend right?

How is everyone else? On our challenge, I have 3.5 pounds to my first goal Hoping I get there by the weekend!!!

Hey Gracie! I can't believe you are on Day 9 already! I'm sure it feels like forever to you, though!

I have not been on the scale in a few days, but at last check I am up 8 total from my start weight. My belly is substantially heavier feeling to me, and a little painful, so I think baby had a growth spurt.

Day 9 already! But, it's going SLOW for me Hey, does your mom still have available what we have talked about before? The homeopathic kind? If so, I will facebook you....

You are doing great! 8 pounds is very little to have gained so far. Just be mindful and you'll be just fine. I bet you are so excited!!!

Good job Gracie. You are close to onederland!! I had a tough weekend and need to refocus this week. I didn't look at the scale today. I need to get a tape measure though since I'm working out so much I think that may be more helpful at this point.

Thanks! Weekends are just horrible for dieting. I struggle the entire time. My head keeps telling me to go ahead and have a beer and relax... I fight with myself the whole dang weekend Great job on working out! Your body will shrink

Good morning Well, unfortunately I had to stop the pellets. I started getting really bad headaches that just wouldn't go away. I stopped the pellets on Monday afternoon and now the headaches are gone I think it's the other ingredients (amino's) that bother me. When I did the spray hcg it was only hcg and I never had a problem. So, now I'm at a standstill and don't know what to do. I will weigh tomorrow morning and see where I'm at. I'm so depressed! I was doing so well but the stupid headaches were AWFUL

Oh Gracie. I'm so sorry you feel down about stopping the pellets. Can you get the spray and resume doing it with that soon? Can you phase off properly and try to maintain your loss while you figure it out? ((hugs))

You were doing great because you wanted to do it. You can do it on another plan. I know you can!! ((hugs))

Hey ladies

How is everyone? Looks like I've been MIA for quite a while. I'm just frustrated with my weight and eating. I decided on low-carb for a while to get rid of the sugar and hopefully lose a little weight. I went crazy for a little while after stopping the hcg. I weighed this morning and I'm at 207 even. My first goal is still ONEDERLAND. I also want to start working out again. My goal is 3-4 times per week including weight training. I don't want to weigh myself every day because I become obsessive. I'm just going to eat low-carb and weigh maybe once a week.

Katy - I do want to get some from your mom for when I'm ready. I will FB you!

It is so freaking COLD here, it's ridiculous! Today when I took the kids to school it was -5 degrees. And that's not including the wind chill factor which made it like -20 below. I can't wait for spring to get here!!!!

Hi, Gracie ! I'm low carbing, too. Does your family eat what you eat or do you have to cook some things different for them ? I'm obsessed with the scale, too. After you see a big loss, you yearn for those magic decreases !

Have a great day !

It depends on what we're having. If I make tacos, I just do the meat, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream and they can all eat the shells. I can do low-carb meatloaf for everyone, dreamfields pasta (rarely), steak-ums, meatballs w/cheese (family uses bun), rotisserie chicken w/veggies, steak, etc. I will usually just make rice or something on the side for them.

I am going to weigh on Fridays and see how I'm doing. I was really tired of obsessing over the scale. I just kept watching it go up , up, up....

You have a great day too!!!!

Ok, still low-carbing and feeling good. I'm not following induction but staying below 20 carbs. I don't want to start with being super strict and stressing myself out. I did make some cream cheese muffins last night - YUM! I had two for breakfast with coffee/heavy cream. I honestly would be happy just losing 2 lbs a week and eating yummy food. I do have back-up hcg spray that I found in my bathroom medicine chest, just in case. Maybe once it gets closer to spring my brain will be able to attempt it.

I'll be back later, have some work to do....

Your plan sounds really good. What's your ingredients for the cream cheese muffins ? I was thinking of making some low carb brownies today. I'm a chocoholic. Have a great day !

I used 2 packages of cream cheese, 7 packets of splenda, vanilla, 3 eggs - mixed all together and baked for about 17 minutes on 350 deg. They are good but I have no control with them! I ate all of them in two days - so no more of those

Good morning! It is crazy cold here again today - I'm so ready for SPRING I did good over the weekend, kept it low-carb. I did have some Michelob Ultra's on Saturday night because me and DH went to the casino for his birthday. We actually won some $$$ and had a great time! TOM showed up yesterday morning and today I'm feeling it. I would love to go lay down under my blanket and nap! I hate the hormonal swings TOM brings! I weighed on Saturday morning and I was 206.2 but didn't realize TOM was coming. So I'm hoping that the scale is down more by the end of the week. I need to drink about 6 bottles of water but it's so cold that I'm having trouble making it. I think I'll weigh on Friday if TOM is gone and see how I'm doing. I'm really enjoying the food and be able to eat. I did buy some Atkins products like the bars and treats just to help me get through cravings. I saw Walmart has the frozen meals but I didn't buy any. I'm thinking lunch today will be leftover baby back ribs from yesterday

Everyone have a great Monday and stay warm!!!

Good morning! Hope everyone is staying warm. My kids were called off school today and possibly tomorrow as well. It's -8 degrees outside I can't keep warm and drinking water is no easy task! I stayed on plan yesterday, I'll post my menu. TOM is in full force right now and kicking my butt. Hoping to lose some of the bloat in the next few days. Friday will be my official weigh in after 11 days on plan. I'm trying not to worry too much about the numbers but instead focus on how I feel and how my clothes are fitting.

Yesterday's Menu:
B: Atkins PB Bar, Coffee w/HWC
L: Leftover dry rub ribs
Snack: Atkins peanut butter cups
D: lettuce & cheese w/ranch, ribeye steak

My carbs were pretty low so I should be good. I know the Atkins products may slow down the weight loss but I need some kind of treat! Hoping they don't hamper my efforts.

Hi peeps Yesterday I did pretty good, but I ate too many Atkins products. They are just so easy and yummy. I have no idea if they are affecting my weight yet because I haven't weighed since Saturday morning. TOM is wreaking havoc (headaches, miserable) so I'm going to wait until I know it's gone and the bloatiness stops. I "think" I'm losing inches but of course I never measure I think I have measurements somewhere from from not too long ago, I'll have to look around. My tummy feels smaller.

I am enjoying all the food with low-carb and trying not to stress out. I figure if I'm on plan them I'm losing pounds or inches. The scale is too stressful and has ruined my day on more than one occasion!!!

Yesterday's Menu
B: Atkins PB Bar, Coffee with HWC/Splenda
L: Atkins Crustless Chicken Pot Pie
Snack: Atkins Peanut M&M's
D: Homemade taco salad - lettuce, taco meat, shredded cheddar, salsa, and sour cream
Snack: Atkins Peanut Butter Cups

My carbs should've been < 20 grams so hopefully I'm doing good! I need to try and not eat so many of the Atkins products but I guess it's better than real M&M's, Oreo's, or my biggest weakness, CEREAL I've actually thought about taking a new flavor of Atkins bars (cookies & cream) and using almond milk for a special low-carb treat

Hi, Gracie !

Your menus sound yummy ! I have never seen all those Atkins goodies at my stores. Thank goodness, too, because I probably would have ate the whole box ! I pinned a recipe for some low carb homemade cereal. I'll post it for you later and you can see if it sounds good to you.

They are really good! They are packaged individually so I only eat one. Thank goodness there isn't a whole box or it wouldn't stand a chance Definitely let me know about the low-carb cereal.

Yesterday went good, stayed on plan. I did have Atkins products because they are so easy and yummy. We are redoing DS's bedroom so we've been busy. I took him out last night to Kohl's and Home Depot to pick out bedding, window treatments, paint, etc. He went with tan and blue. Three walls are tan and then one accent wall is blue. His bedding is tan, light tan, white, light blue, and dark blue plaid. His carpet was already dark blue. We also got a new ceiling fan. His room was still boyish so this is kind of sad. He is growing up so fast!!!

Yesterday's Menu
B: Atkins PB Bar, Coffee w/HWC
L: Taco Salad (Taco meat, lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream)
Snack: Atkins Peanut Butter Cups
D: 3 Nathans Kosher hot dogs w/brown mustard & one colby jack cheese stick

Menu looks pretty good. TOM is still here so not sure if I'll weigh tomorrow or wait until Saturday morning. TOM sucks

I found two cereal recipes but one is kind of complicated to me. Here is the first from lowcarbzombie:

1/2 Cup walnuts
1/2 Cup pecans
1 Cup almonds
1 Tablespoon flax seed *optional… for Omega 3 power!
*Feel free to sub any nuts you want! they all get mashed up in the end!
Pinch of ginger
Pinch of pumpkin pie spice
1 Tablespoon of cinnamon
1 Tablespoon maple sugar
1/2 Tablespoon of vanilla,
1/4 Stick of butter,
1 Egg white
15 Drops liquid stevia

Here Goes!!!
Using a blender or food processor, (I use my ninja and LOVE it!) Finely chop all DRY ingredients. (nuts, spices, flax seed, maple sugar) It is ok if there are a few whole or half nuts left after blending, in fact that helps make the clusters even better!

In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and all liquid ingredients well (stevia, egg white butter and vanilla.)

Add the dry ingredients from the blender to the wet ingredients bowl.

Mix well until all nuts are coated and it is turning in a pasty hot mess.

Line a sheet pan with foil and spray with olive oil spray or butter to keep from sticking.

Spread the Mixture out on the sheet pan as thin as you can. ( about a 1/4 inch thick)

Bake in the oven on the middle rack at 250 degrees for 30 min.

Set aside to cool completely.

When cereal is cool, break into clusters and keep in an airtight container until ready to eat.

Serve with skim or almond milk

Carb count is 5g per cup of cereal without milk.

I love to add a few blueberries, strawberry chunks or raising to my cereal, too! Give it some added flavor and nutrients

The other one is from Ginny's Low Carb Kitchen:

HOMEMADE COLD CEREAL, SF, GF, LC

COCONUT LAYER:
3 cups coconut chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/4 teaspoon EZ-sweetz Stevia and Monk Fruit -- (OR other liquid sweetener drops to equal 1/4 cup)
Cinnamon -- (I just sprinkled it over all, did not measure, perhaps a tsp.)
GRAHAM CRACKER LAYER:
1/2 cup flaxseed meal, golden
1/2 cup almond flour
1 egg white
1/4 teaspoon EZ-sweetz Stevia and Monk Fruit -- (OR other liquid sweetener drops to equal 1/4 cup)
16 drops Capella Flavor Drops, graham cracker concentrate -- (optional, but if you have them, it gives it a graham cracker flavor)
1 packet Truvia

1/2 cup Dried Cranberries, whole, SF
1 cup nuts (optional--not included in nutritional info)

COCONUT LAYER: Preheat oven to 350F. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Spread coconut chips out on cookie sheet. In small bowl, place coconut oil and EZ-sweetz Stevia and Monk Fruit, and microwave for 20 to 30 seconds to melt. Drizzle over coconut flakes and stir until oil is well mixed over all. Sprinkle with cinnamon, and stir together again. Bake about 4 minutes. Remove and stir. Bake another 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Be careful not to burn! Spread on paper towel and let cool.

GRAHAM CRACKER LAYER: Preheat oven to 325F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. In food processor, add flaxseed meal, almond flour, egg white, EZ-sweetz Stevia and Monk Fruit, and Capella Flavor Drops. Process until it is mixed well and makes a stiff dough. Place onto parchment paper. Top with plastic wrap, and roll out very thin, especially in the center so that it is evenly rolled out. Sprinkle with packet of Truvia. Cut into small pieces with a pizza cutter. Bake 10 minutes. Remove any on the edges that are done, and put back in, baking 2 to 5 minutes at a time, checking to make sure it does not burn, removing those on the outside that are done, and putting back in until all are crisp and lightly browned. Let cool.

Mix cooled coconut flakes and graham cracker pieces together. Add dried cranberries. Mix well. Add chopped nuts if desired (optional).

NOTES : 6g net carbs per serving

I bet that was fun fixing up your son's room ! The colors sound great. Would love to see a pic ! How old is he ?

Ugh, TOM sucks...hope you feel better. I too use Atkins products to get me through the hump, especially during PMS cravings so I have the bars. Also, I got the shakes too for mornings when I don't have time to eat breakfast...I like the strawberry the best. I know Ricky is enjoying decorating his room, yes they are growing up too fast!!

Hi Gracie -

Happy Friday to you!!! Will you be hosting a Super Bowl Party? We've been busy getting settled into our temporary apartment. We have a six month lease. We got to Greenville last Friday, and the movers moved us on Saturday. I think we will be happy here. Our ds and fiancÚ are less than 2 miles away. With that said, we are very careful not to intrude on their lives. He is very happy we are here. She is still not sure, lol.

Sheba ~ Wow! Those recipes sound fantastic. I'm not on the phase where I can have nuts yet though so I'll have to wait it. I'm still thinking about buying the Atkins new Cookies n Cream bar and chopping it up in some almond milk. It would be like Oreo Cereal I think it would satisfy my sweet tooth!

Shari ~ Ricky loves his new room! It looks so much more grown up. He used to have a sports border and a baseball ceiling fan. Now it's more age appropriate. He took down his Nascar cars and all his posters I love that he's turning into such a nice young man but I want my baby back!!!

Marie ~ I'll bet you love living so close to your son! Me and my sisters all live very close together and all within 5-10 minutes of our mom and dad. My mom comes to my house every day to watch Erin. I am having a huge super bowl party on Sunday plus it's Gracie's 11th birthday. I'm planning my menu now - thinking kielbasa with sauerkraut, wings, cheese & pepperoni tray... NOM NOM NOM!!! I'll have my Atkins treats at hand in case I need something sweet!

Happy Friday peeps! I did weigh this morning and it was just okay - 205.4. TOM is still in the final stages so maybe I should've waited. Today is Day 12 of doing low-carb and I'm still enjoying it. I'm not sure where I started because I didn't weight. I was so disgusted with myself because of having to go off the hcg and then I ate like crap. I would guess I was back around the 214.6 from where I had started. I looked at January and I started at 214.6 and today I'm at 205.4, so I'm down -9.2 lbs. I'll take it!!! The lowest I got with hcg was 203.4 so only 2 more lbs. I'm really trying to just accept this low-carb is my way of eating now, no if's, and's or but's. And with the use of the Atkins snacks it's actually pretty easy! And, I'm pretty sure I'm down inches because I just feel thinner

Hope everyone has a great Friday and Super Bowl weekend!!! I love watching the game and all the awesome commercials!!!!!

Congrats on your losses, Gracie's mom !

Enjoy your super bowl party and all the yummy stuff you have planned ! Have you ever tried quinoa ? A lot of people use it like an oatmeal or rice replacement. I have tried it a couple of times as a hot cereal but it's not my favorite.

Have a great weekend !

Is quinoa low-carb? I'll have to check it out. I think I've had it before and liked it

Hi peeps! It snowed a lot overnight and the kids ended up with a 2 hour delay. Most of the schools cancelled, was hoping for it but they only delayed. I did good over the weekend. I did have some Michelob Ultras on Friday night but stayed perfect on plan eating wise. Then yesterday I had 4 Michelob Ultras during the Super Bowl party and Grace's party. I added ice and just sipped to make them last long. I ate perfect on plan too. I tested my ketones this morning and I was a nice dark pinkish purple. I'm not going to weigh again until Friday or later. I like not stressing out about it. So far today I had 6 breakfast sausage links and 2 cream cheese muffins. I made the CC muffins for the Super Bowl so I wouldn't be tempted by all of the other yummy double chocolate chip cupcakes and bday cakes. There were BROWNIES too. I was proud of myself!

Lots of work to get done today, hope everyone is having a good Superbowl hangover
