Good morning! I can't believe it's snowing here I seriously cannot stand the snow. It's very pretty right now but I know how it ends up looking. Everything gets all dirty and mushy The kids were all excited about it though.

I had a pretty decent weekend. I tried to follow calorie counting but Saturday me and hubby went out and had some drinks. It was fun and desperately needed My weigh this morning was 201.4 - not too bad but not where I want to be. I keep thinking about throwing a fasting type down day in there but then I get too hungry My calories have been good - staying around 1400 give or take. I still haven't exercised though I want to but just can't seem to get up the motivation.

How is everyone else? It seems very very quiet in here lately. Hope everyone is doing well!!!

I'm here! I can imagine the snow puts a damper on wanting to get out and exercise. Such a pain! I used to become quite a shut-in sometimes when I lived in colder weather.

I'm doing okay! Same as before. I did LA weightloss years and years ago as well and remember I couldn't really follow the plan. I bought the bar products and came home and ate an entire box in one sitting. Oh diet products. They never did me well but I still would go back for more!

I see you mention a lot having not stuck to plan since you ended up drinking. I just wanted you to know that I drink alcoholic beverages probably 3 days a week and have still lost weight, so it's possible! What are you normally drinking?

Hi Sam! I usually drink light beer. I tend to drink Michelob Ultra or Coors Light. I have tried rum and diet but I get too drunk I remember those bars from LA Weighloss I got to have 2 of those per day, 3 fruits, 4 veggies, 2 proteins, and 2 starches I can't believe I can remember that. I did lose weight on it but of course gained it back!

Can you share what plan you are following with maybe a sample menu or two?

Hello I've been eating like crap (too many carbs) and just feeling yucky. TOM is on the horizon so I have PMS which doesn't help. I'll be fine once TOM starts!! I think it's due in a few days.

Last night Ricky made his confirmation I am so proud of him!

Oh man, every day is so different! I guess overall here is how I eat:

Breakfast - nothing, water or iced tea all morning

Lunch - small, usually <500 calories, I'll have between 3-5 of the following items: a protein shake, piece of cheese, nut/granola bar, apple or orange, carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, sliced bell peppers, 1-2 squares dark chocolate (>60%, this I do almost daily for the health benefits )

Dinner - bigger, usually anything, to be honest. I try to focus on a meat (ie baked chicken, ribs, homemade no-bean chili), but there is almost always a vegetable and a carb, ie chicken stir-fry with brown rice, homemade meat sauce with "low carb" pasta, I eat a lot of fruit and veggies, sometimes a coconut ice cream bar after dinner. On the weekends I basically eat anything I want... even higher carb foods, burgers, occasionally pizza, frozen yogurt, though I try to eat healthier and lower in carbs at least one of the meals per day. Some days I wake up feeling like I want to eat total cr&p and I allow myself to do it and afterwards the feeling goes away and I get back to eating like normal.

I probably eat 75-100g of carbs per day, closer to 150-200g on weekends. I never thought I could eat higher carbs AND be binge-free AND lose weight, but I guess it's possible!

Oh! And I drink alcohol about 3x/week... beer (regular sometimes), champagne, white wine, skinny girl margaritas, even higher sugar drinks sometimes when out, though I will usually order off the "skinny" drink menu. Otherwise, I drink only water, iced tea, and sometimes water with a big splash of pure cranberry juice.

Hope that helps! Have a good weekend!

Sam ~Your menu looks great! I wonder how many calories that is per day? My problem is definitely binge eating. I've fallen into some bad habits lately. It's either feast or famine and I need to figure out how to stop it. I know sugar is one the worst temptations for me and I once I start I cannot stop.

Do you exercise?

Shari ~ I miss you! How are you doing???

Okay, so this weekend was a total bust! We had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday at my brother in law's house. He has to work on Thanksgiving so we celebrated yesterday. OMG it was sooo good I definitely overindulged! Today I'm going to drink loads of water and probably just stick with a steak day. I know I'm all carbed up!!!

I was thinking we should start a Christmas challenge to keep us in line through the holidays. There are 38 days (including today) until Christmas. I would like to lose 10-15 pounds before Christmas. We are heading to Daytona Beach and I would like to feel and look the best I can. Would anyone like to join me?

38 Days til Christmas - Did Not Weigh this morning due to Thanksgiving feast. I will weigh tomorrow and go from there. I have to travel for work this week (Wed-Fri) to Hershey Park again. Oh the CHOCOLATE everywhere and TOM is due on Wednesday!!!!

Good morning! Well TOM finally came on Saturday morning so he's here now. I had to go away for work last Wed-Fri and I'm still tired. We had a nice weekend with friends though and yesterday went to my sister's for my BIL's bday. My eating has been decent. I will weigh in after TOM to see where I am.

There's 30 days til Christmas I would like to lose 10 pounds before heading to the beach!!!

I want to do a challenge, too!!! I'm going to Hawaii in a few weeks for 8 days and would like to be <150 when I go. Realistically, if by Christmas I maintain in the 149-152 range I'd be very happy. I still haven't hit 150! I just hover above it. It would be nice to call "goal" one of these days.

Super! So we have 3 of us in our 30 day challenge! I would like to see 190 lbs on Christmas Day! So I have to lose about 10 or so pounds. I won't weigh until TOM is out the door. Yay! I'm excited you ladies joined me

Hey Gracie, I'm in too!! Although I'm going on cruise this Sunday, I've vowed to not overdo it and eat more low carbish, with a fewer sweet treats than normal. I did this, or started to LOL, on my last cruise and didn't gain like I normally do so I know it's possible to do while cruising. To be 10lbs smaller by Christmas would be wonderful!!

Yesterday went good. I fasted until dinner and then I had chicken teriyaki with brown rice and broccolli. For dessert I had a few teaspoons of Nutella I'm not weighing until maybe Thursday morning or until TOM is gonzo. Today I'm going to fast until dinner if I can. I like that empty feeling and believe me, I need it!!!

We got snow last night which made the morning crazy! It took me forever to get the all 3 kids to school. Erin has dress up day today for preschool to celebrate Thanksgiving. She was so excited!!!

I can't believe I haven't posted since before Thanksgiving! We had a nice holiday and then we decided to head out of town on Saturday/Sunday with the kids. We went to Deep Creek and Swallow Falls. It was beautiful! We hiked the mountains on Sunday to see the falls. It was a bit scary because it was icy but it was fun. My eating over the holiday was so-so. I weighed 202.2 on Saturday morning but haven't weighed since. Today I've only eaten an apple so far and I'm planning on taking a nice 30-60 minute walk later. The sun is out today so I don't want to miss the free Vitamin D

I dyed my hair this morning, trying to go a shade of darker blonde. I was light SUPER blonde for a while. I'll attach a pic. I will also try to post pics from our weekend away.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

Thanks Amber and Katy!

We had parties on Thursday and Saturday for Christmas. I feel like a stuffed piggy We're talking drinks, appetizers, huge meals, and dessert. This time of year is so dang hard to follow any plan. Yesterday I wasn't very good either! Today I'm going to stick to mostly meat and a little bit of veggies to get rid of the bloat. I'll weigh tomorrow to see if there is a lot of damage. I just want to be back in onederland where I'm comfortable.

I've been contemplating a round of hcg with RX next year. There's a clinic here, I'm just not sure how much it's going to be $$$. I'm more comfortable having a doctor prescribe the hcg than me mixing it myself. I'm scared I'll do it wrong or get some bogus hcg - I know I'm paranoid! I'm going to email the clinic and see how much it costs. Then I'll see if my healthcare reimbursement card can pay for it. Hopefully it will work out.

Everyone have a great Monday

Good morning So, I decided to eat low-carb through the holidays. I'm not being super induction strict but I am keeping them around 20/day. I found Target's Whey Protein in chocolate that has 7 gms carbs and I use it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk for a pretty tasty shake. I had that for lunch yesterday I had a snack of cheesestick and slice of bologna and dinner was wings. Not great but OK. I figure if I at least stay away from the sugary treats and white carbs I'll be better than doing nothing!!! We are leaving for Daytona Beach on Christmas morning - YAHOOOOO I seriously cannot wait. I need a nice break with the family

Hi everyone I am so sad today - I just read that a friend of mine on here lost her DH last night. I'm not exactly sure what happened but I feel so bad for her and her daughter. This is just terrible

My eating has been on plan and I'm staying at or below 20 carbs/day. Yesterday I had coffee/cream for breaky, bacon and eggs for lunch, and dinner was Dreamfields angel hair pasta with crab meat and homemade alfredo sauce. I feel so much better when I stay away from the white carbs! So far today I've had a breakfast bowl with eggs, cheese, bacon, and canadian bacon with some sour cream. I won't eat again now until dinner, probably around 6:00 pm because my DS has a basketball game. I have delmonicos in the fridge and probably some broccoli/cheese or a small side salad. I took DS to the Orthopedic doctor today because his knee has been bothering him. He had injured it last year in a football game. Another player went helmet to knee with him (dirty hit) and we thought he broke his knee. It ended up just being a bone bruise. Today the doc said he has a strained MCL or very slight tear. He is allowed to play but has to wear a brace and ice it afterward. Glad it wasn't anything too serious!

Hope everyone has a great day and please pray for Karen and her family (KOO)

Hi Gracie,

I am so sad about Karen's dh. I just can not reconcile it. We met Mike, Karen and Megan this time last year. We spent the day with them, plus with Linda.
They also have two older sons. This is Megan's first year in college, living away, but still close by, under 2 hours, I think. How will life ever be the same for her. I'm so sad. Their granddaughter just turned one last month. They have been sweethearts since Junior High, I believe. It's just so unreal.

Any idea what happened to him? I just can't comprehend how this happened. He looked so healthy in all the pictures and seemed to be her rock. I remember when you guys all met and you posted pics. He looked in shape, young, and healthy This is just sad beyond words

I don't have any idea. It is sad beyond words...it could be any one of us, you know? My heart breaks for her. It's so awful, just horrible.

So sorry to hear about Karen's husband. Prayers and thought go out to their family, can't even comprehend what they're going through.

How are you? Did you finish shopping yet? I'm sooo far behind but trying not to stress, yet LOL.

Hi Shari and everyone who visits! I am almost done with all my shopping but haven't even touched the wrapping yet. I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. My eating has been atrocious lately And I feel like I'm coming down with something. I'm all stuffed up and just feel yucky. I'm gonna take some vitamin C and try to get to bed early tonight. I've been running around like a crazy person lately. The scale is not my friend so I'm going to stay away from it until Friday morning. Today I'm just trying to eat good and drink lots of water. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Well, I didn't get to sleep early and I didn't get much rest. I must have too much going on in my brain. I could not fall asleep! Ended up getting up around 12:30 am and taking a melatonin. Hoping to get some rest tonight.

I braved the scale this morning and it was pretty mean to me I knew it wasn't going to be good considering all of the crap I ate over the weekend. I might as well just be brave and write it out... 205.2 There, I owned it....

I have an appt. tomorrow with a clinic here to discuss Rx HCG. I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to buying HCG online and injecting I want to make sure I'm getting the real stuff from a USA pharmacy. We'll see how much they want. I told her I'd like to lose about 40 lbs.

Anyhoo, everyone stay warm and have a great day!
