Hope the meds work and you and Erin feel better. Yes yogurt. Also, AZO!! It's a probiotic pill that works wonders for prevention. I have to take one when I start LC after a carby binge.

Thanks for the info! I will try to find the AZO today. I have a bottle of some kind of Colon protection probiotic - think it's the same?

Well, up again all night. Erin had chills then was trying to throw up but couldn't (mucous) and then spiked a fever. I took her this morning to the doctor and she now has a double ear infection and a touch of pneumonia They put her on Augmentin so I'm praying she starts to feel better FAST She scared me because she told me her heart was beating to the drum. I figured it was from the fever and maybe dehydration but I was still scared! Please keep Erin in your prayers today. On top of all that my son Ricky (13) is home today with a sore throat. I will take him to MedExpress when he wakes up. OMG, this is awful!

Yesterday it was 65 degrees and people were wearing shorts. Today it's 25 degrees and snowing - WTH? No wonder everyone keeps getting sick.

I did not weigh today because I was up all night. I will weigh tomorrow to see if I made any progress in January. Thinking about a short round of hcg to take off 10-15 lbs. just so I get my mojo back......

This particular probiotic pill is especially for yeast. Which I have found when I go back to LC from a carb overload, I need to take one. I guess my body is detoxing. IDK. But they work well for me on prevention. I take it when I first get any symptom.

It's hard when our kids are sick because we worry but then it's worse when you're sick too. Hope you all feel better.

Thanks everyone for all your support The meds seem to have made Erin feel a little bit better - thank God! Her poor little chest/back crackle everytime she coughs. My ear and throat are still a little sore but I'm grateful it's not as bad as a couple days ago. We are having a big superbowl party on Sunday for Gracie's 10th bday. We do it every year - we have about 40 people I'm praying everyone is healthier by then. Knowing our luck we will just all get sick again from all the germs I was thinking of cancelling but Gracie would be so disappointed.

My weight this morning was 198 - so I lost a little over 5 lbs in January, big whoop right? I'm just glad I didn't gain. These stupid antibiotics make my tummy hurt if I don't eat something. I did ok yesterday - I had coffee/cream for breakfast, then a little bit of pepperoni before dinner, and a grilled chicken salad for dinner. I tried to keep it lower carb. I watched The Doctors last night and they were talking about how the majority of depression is caused by the processed foods everyone eats. It made so much sense to me! I am feeding my body with CRAP and then wonder why I feel down. I'm not feeding my brain or body with good, whole foods. I'm going to try and follow that more closely.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoys watching the superbowl. Shari, try not to have a heart attack while watching! It's always so stressful watching your team in the big game!!!

Sorry SHARI - but I'm rooting for the 49'ers!!!! I'm really digging their quarterback - he's a HOTTIE!!!! The only downfall will be the 49ers will have 6 superbowl wins and tie the Steelers. That's okay, we'll just have to win one next year

Good morning Still fighting the sickies off at our house. I ended up taking Erin back to the doctor's yesterday because her ears were still hurting. She sneezed and made a blood curdling scream so I knew her ears must be bad. The doctor said they were the worst she's seen in recent memory. Her eardrums were raw and ***** So they gave her two shots in her legs of an anitibiotic to clear it up faster. I have to take her back tomorrow for two more shots. They are very painful but her ears are feeling better already. My poor baby My ears and throat are feeling a bit better. I switched to Augmentin which is a stronger med and since then I've felt much better.

Our superbowl party was fun! We had about 40-50 people and tons of food. I did pretty well, only ate when hungry. TOM is due today so I'm avoiding the scale like the plague. I will weigh once TOM starts and the bloat is gone.

Thanks CeeCee - she is still in pain. I just check on her and she keeps telling me her ears hurt. I gave her Childrens Advil so the pain should subside soon.

Thanks Shari The advil seems to be helping her - she is in a much better mood. Did you enjoy the superbowl or were you nervous? I couldn't believe how close the game got at the end!!! The Steelers always do that too, so frustrating!!! At least you guys pulled it out in the end. I secretly have a crush though on the QB from the 49ers, he's so cute (and young!!!)

Was I nervous?!! I thought I was going to have to go outside in the cold to calm down!! I couldn't believe how quickly they came back up and almost took the game! Our momentum was definitely lost initially after the blackout but then they got it together and came out on top. Oh yeah, Kaepernick (sp) is a cutie but look soooo young that you feel wrong for just thinking he's a cutie!

LOL I think I was 16 when he was born!!! I remember a few years back when the Steelers won at the end - I kept having to leave the room and not watch the tv!!! My little heart was jumping out of my chest

oh same with me! I was getting so upset that I told G either he was going to have to turn the channel or I was going back home!! I wouldn't have been able to keep watching it if the Ravens hadn't been able to keep them from scoring more points. Sooo frustrating but then exciting at the same time.

I know! I miss the older players!! I'll bet this year the Steelers clean house because we have a lot of older players who just can't compete with the young bucks. Troy Polamalu hasn't been the same since he got hurt and hasn't played in like 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised if Big Ben got the boot too!!!!!

I work from home so I can run upstairs and check on her all day. My office is in my gameroom and my mom watches the kids. I am very grateful to be able to have lunch with her every day!!!

Good morning. I'm taking Erin in about 15 minutes for her second round of shots. She is already saying she doesn't want to go. TOM started so I now have a headache and couldn't sleep last night. Calgon, take me away!!!

I didn't weigh this morning because of TOM. I was going to attempt a good DD today and maybe weigh tomorrow. I'm still on antibiotics that make me queasy if I don't eat though. I'll play it by ear.

That is awesome that you can work from home like that! I am getting ready to retire from doing massage because my thumbs are so arthritic and a job like that would be so great! I have a feeling I just won't work until all 3 are in school though.

I agree, that's wonderful that you can work from home and mom helps with the kids. I'd give almost anything to not commute daily. Hopefully TOM will come and go quickly...hate the symptoms like insomnia and headaches!!

I got lucky because my company closed the office I worked in and offered to let me work from home. I'm a civil engineer and I sell heavy highway and construction materials. I started out in bridge design but it led to sales which I like much better! I am very blessed

Tell me about it! I just took 2 Advil and could use a big old nap!!! TOM is also making me feel very pudgy today I need to push the water. I also bought a 6 pack of chocolate slim-fast so I can try to stick with my JUDDD DD's. They are 190 calories each so if I drink 3 I'll be 570 calories for the day. I really need a good DD!!!
