I'm here I've just been really tired My endoscopy was Wednesday and the doctor said the bottom of my esophagus (near sternum) is inflamed. He took samples and sent for biopsy to check for infection. He has me still taking Nexium and following a low-acid type diet. That means no chocolate, coffee, alcohol, gum, mints, fat, cheese, etc. - it's awesome! I also think the Nexium is making me very tired?? The doctor took blood to check my magnesium levels and I should hear back in a few days. I made the mistake of looking up side effects and of course low magnesium, low Vitamin D, low Calcium and not being able to us B-12. I'm guess this could all make me tired!!! I'm going to call my PCP and see if I have any other options on medication for the acid reflux.

I've loosely been following JUDDD but my weight is up a bit. Yesterday morning I was 192.8 lbs. and yesterday was an UD. I was quite shocked when I weighed this morning and I was still 192.8 lbs. I had a very nice UD. I had a breakfast burrito, little bit of oatmeal, 6" turkey sub from Subway, baked chips, mini packed of peanut M&M's, baked chicken cordon bleu, broccoli w/cheese, and for dessert I had apple pie That sounds like a lot of food but my calories were where they should be for an UD. I also stopped eating by 6:00 pm. My doctor said to quit eating 3-4 hours before bed to stop the acid reflux in my sleep.

Hoping to rest this weekend but we have FOUR football games tomorrow starting at 10:30 am and going til like 6 pm. I'm ready for football season to be OVER. I'm also going to start an exercise routine - doc says this should also help with the reflux. Also, if I could lose 15-20 lbs. that will also help. Praying I can do this!!!

Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend!

oh my LORD! Gracie you have your hands full, plus trying to heal? OMG! Good luck to you, and do try not to eat late.. my daughter has the same thing and it is horrible when she eats before bed. I hope you find another med you can take, because those side effects sound TIRESOME!..

That diet cuts out all the good stuff too huh?.... Well hang in there and rest when you can!

Hey Gracie! Hope you were able to get some rest over the weekend through your busy, busy schedule. I'm sorry you're not feeling the best, acid reflux is painful and it took away most of your favorite foods!! No coffee, cheese, fat??!!! I'm looking into Zumba classes to get the exercise bug going too....

Thanks peeps for all the encouragement! TOM started today and my weight is way up I should NOT have weighed knowing TOM usually brings a good 3-5 lbs. with him. My weekend was okay - getting tired of football! I can't wait until I have my weekends back!!! I ate okay until yesterday when TOMs cravings hit. I had one donut for breakfast and then I ate pizza for dinner

I am glad this is the first of the month and MONDAY. I need a new beginning! My goal for October is to follow JUDDD's UD/DD rotation and get back to 185 lbs. I also need to start exercising at least 3X/week. I am going to try and get Callanetics in today That may also help with the TOM cravings and major headache today!!!

Good morning It's a bit cold and rainy here today. I'm kind of glad because cheerleading practice will be canceled and I could use a break TOM is in full force but luckily today is an UD I did a steak day yesterday to get back in the groove and it went good. I lost a whopping 4 lbs. I knew I was full of water but SHEESH! I'm still up from last week though. So far today I've had coffee and McDonalds oatmeal - love that stuff My calorie goal for today is 1952 - I think yesterday I actually came in around 700 calories. My allowable range for DD is from 390-878 before I hit maintenance so it's all good. Hope everyone has a great day!

I've been thinking of tracking everyday to keep accountability. My goal for October is to keep track of my calories and follow my UD/DD rotation. I would like to get to 185 lbs. That might seem like a lot (13 lbs) but my beginning weight is inflated because of the weekend and TOM being in the house. Wish me luck!!!

10/1 198.0 DD (722 calories)
10/2 194.0 UD (aiming for 1952 calories)

One more thing - I'm trying to approach this a little differently than normal JUDDD. I had read an article from a guy who followed it this way.

DD - One meal (Dinner)
UD - Three meals + snacks

I will fast until dinner of the DD and have pretty much whatever I want (within my calories). I think the fasting part is important. So it's sort of a JUDDD meets IF'ing I hope it will prove to be a successful experiment.

Honestly, most of the time fasting til dinner does my brain good! I quit obsessing over what I'm going to eat I seem to struggle more on my UDs because I can't figure out what I want. I'm not used to being able to eat anything I want within my calories. I've always been low-carb, following hhcg, counting low calories, etc. My mind is so weird I almost feel empowered on my fasting DDs - the empty feeling is kind of nice because I'm used to the overstuffed wanna puke feeling

And, yes I definitely need a break from cheerleading

So after an UD yesterday, I lost 0.8 lbs LMAO??? Today is a DD and I started it off with some pumpkin spice coffee w/cream and equal. I will fast until dinner. I will post my menu from yesterday - I ate over 2000 calories but did drink a lot of water and I had my one bottle of water w/ACV for the acid reflux. My tummy is feeling better and I haven't taken Nexium in days. I've had a slight headache though but it's most likely due to hormonal fluctuations and TOM. He was a bugger yesterday!!! Hoping the worst is over and I'll start feeling human again soon

Yesterdays Menu
B: coffee/cream/equal - fruit & maple oatmeal (338 cal)
L: Subway 6" turkey on honey oat bread & baked chips, lite mayo (500 cal)
D: Dreamfields Spaghetti w/meatballs (700 cal)
Dessert: Pumpkin Bake (sugar-free) with whipped cream (375 cal)

Snacks: 1 piece of Hershey's sugar-free dark mini (32 cal)
1/2 McDonald's Hot Cake (55 cal) - this was just mindless eating

I did stop eating by 6:00 pm because I was obviously full!!! Then I drank the ACV water, took a good epsom salt bath, and had another water before bed. I think the water bloat from TOM is leaving also. I'm still not back to the 192.8 that I was at last week but hopefully I'll be there tomorrow.

I was surprised but I was peeing a lot last night - TMI! I really enjoy the Dreamfields pasta My hubby is doing low-carb and I'm trying to help him along. I know he gets tired of the same old thing. Hope the Dreamfields doesn't cause him to stall.

I finished Day #1 of the 30 Day Shred from Jillian Michaels Yikes is it ever hard - plus I'm out of shape right now!!! I only used my 3 lb. dumbbells and my arms/legs are like jello. It felt awesome to work out I'm also still fasting - will eat dinner around 4:00 ish. DD's both have gymnastics tonight & DS has football.

I'm looking forward to watching the presidential debate tonight! I'm weird

Edited to Add: I hope my exercise doesn't impact the scale tomorrow morning! I need to put my logical brain on and remember my muscles will be holding water to repair themselves!!!!!!

Awesome work!! You've lost five pounds in two days with juddd. So if the scale stays the same, try and remember that. The exercise will make you smaller and healthier!

Okay, so scale went down after a good DD with exercise (weights). And the best news is today is an UD Right now I am enjoying the best oatmeal ever! It's Wendy's steel cut oatmeal with cranberries, brown sugar, and pecans I also re-read the Johnson's UD DD book yesterday to remember "why" this works. I noticed a few key points - #1 on you UDs try to make good food choices (veggies, fruits, whole grains, lean meats) as well as your DDs. Your UDs should not be used as a carb or sugar fest. #2 I looked at sample menus and they were all around 600 calories for a DD and #3 I probably shouldn't weigh after UDs because of the mental issues with fluctuations. I'm going to still weigh every day in October until it starts to mess with me!!! One last thing, the expected weight loss is still based on calories in verse calories out and exercise. So if I do 16 DDs around 500 calories and 15 UDs around 1952 calories, my deficit will lead to about a 7 lb. loss for October. I'm obviously ahead of the game because of the weekend carbfest and TOM. Plus, if I exercise I can lose another 2 lbs. this month I need to keep focus and my eyes on my goal for October!!! Hoping losing weight will also help my acid reflux

Everyone have a great Thursday

10/5 194.4 lbs. DD <500 calories

Nice to meet everyone

OK, so this is from the daily weighing thread - and yes, I gained 2 lbs. from yesterday's UD. BUT, I had dry rub wings and lemon cake for dinner and it was after 8:00 pm when I finally ate. I was really hungry yesterday too - weird! I was probably around 2200 calories I know the wings were full of sodium so that gain is most likely due to that. I'm just going to ride with it and see how the scale looks tomorrow. I may have to go with weighing only after DDs!!!

Today I'm fasting until dinner and then I'm making skinless chicken cordon bleu and broccolli. It will be less than 500 calories for the day. I have to push extra water too. Planning on doing 30 Day Shred as well

Good morning peeps I had a nice weekend full of football again I ended up going on Saturday night with my girlfriend and had some beers and 1.5 slices of cheese pizza. I find that I get full faster now - I could usually easily down 3-4 slices of pizza. I guess that's a good thing On Saturday morning I had coffee and oatmeal and then didn't eat again until like 8:00 pm because I just wasn't hungry (as it was an UD!!!) But I'm sure the beers put me over my allowance. Oh well, gotta live!!! Yesterday we just veged out and watched the Steeler game. I ended up around 1225 calories for the day. Today I will fast until dinner and then make something with a lot of veggies and maybe pumpkin bake. Hope everyone has a great Monday!
