You've really gotten the hula hoop thing! How cool! And your LC meals sound so good. It really is kind of a relief to do something different, savor all those rich flavors, and NOT COUNT ANYTHING, isn't it?

Have a great day, GF!

Hi Monica & Carol! I think that's gonna be me too. No counting, just eating what I know to be safe! The idea of "no-brainer" eating is so appealing right now. I can do LC in my sleep. Years of practice.

Monica! You are doing great! I'm glad you are getting back on track. I need to do the same. I give myself an inch, and I take a mile!
I went back and read some pages back I missed. So sorry you son is struggling. So hard to be a kid these days! But it sounds like he's getting good support at school, etc.
also, I saw you might go to a beaches resort Memorial Day. Hubs and I went to beaches at Turks and Caicos a few years back, and it was great. Very family friendly!

That's me too girl! It is less stressful and for the moment, it is just what I need. With everything else going on, I need to worry LESS about what I am eating and if / when I am hungry!

Meg, what a good baby you have! I am thrilled to learn you have been to beaches and enjoyed it. We are all booked and ready to go. I think the stress of everything lately is taking its toll on all of us. We leave on 05/26 and return on 06/02. Hopefully we can all just go and HANG out , VEG out and just be. No thinking no stressing, NO NOTHING!

Had a good LC day yesterday. I got in 5 miles walking, but no hula. Will do 5 miles today and hoping for some hula time once I get home.

Today:
B: eggs/cheese/OMM
S: quest bar
L : leftover italian casserole
D: maybe cheesy crackslaw

We will have to see how much time I have tonight to prep or prepare stuff for dinner and beyond. Need to make up stuff ahead because we have a 2 day volleyball tournament on Sat/Sun!

Hi, Monica...marking my spot. Thanks for stopping by my journal (albeit I'm late responding to people since my vacation was a month ago...lol).

Which Quest bars do you like? I've only tried the Cinnamon Roll one so far...it was good heated up!

Happy "Friday Eve"!

Jayce, I like the cinnamon roll ones, but my FAVE is the apple pie ones. I have a hard time keeping those at the house. DD12 inhales them whenever they are there, but they have great protein for her!

Friday - Eve indeed!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO! DH and I walk 3 miles in the a.m. and at noon I walk 2 with my coworker!

Looks like you're doing great with the lc eating so far!

The quest bars I keep on hand at all times are Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies & Cream, Double Chocolate Chunk, and Chocolate Brownie.. (altho I think I'm gonna phase out the brownie ones next round).... DD17 loves these and since I have a very hard time keeping her calories & protein up they're great! I wish I had the issue of not consuming enough calories

Keep up the great work, Monica! So jealous of your fab hoop work!

Dani - I am not a fan of any of the chocolate quest stuff. Not sure, I think it's a texture thing.

Had a good LC day yesterday. Went over board at dinner last night. Scale is up today. I am sure it is well deserved. 175.4

Judy - I order them off Amazon, but you can also get them at any GNC store.

LC is going well! If only LIFE was as easy! DS15 is really hitting a rough patch! Trying to muddle my way through with it.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Spring break is done at my house. I am almost grateful. This summer is going to be maddening!

Weighed today was was down a bit, 172.8 thankfully!

I'm so sorry your son has hit this patch. It's confusing and patience-trying. As I've said (I think?) he is lucky to have you as his momma.

Now what are you doing for yourself these days?

Thank you Daisy. I am not a crier, but lately, I cry every night. I will say, I touched base with DS15's therapist this morning, emailing her of the last incident. I LOVE HER! She called me quickly to just touch base. We discussed the arguement briefly and she said, I know this isn't what you want to hear, but he does LOVE You immensely. He loves you enough/trusts you enough to show his true feelings and frustrations. We just have to help him break through it all and WE WILL DO THAT! It made me feel better. she knows I we support him 150%, even when he is so mean to us! Man, I am so glad we only have 2 kids.

I had a 4 day weekend with DD12 and my BFF and her kids recently. I am also planning a full day with DH for his birthday in April. If the spa my friend is opening isn't open by his day, I will plan something else for just the 2 of us. He doesn't know it, but we have that day off, I won't tell him till the day before as I leave work.

Posted to you over in the challenge thread, but wanted to come here and give some I relate so so much to what you're going through with your kiddo.. It's hard when our kids struggle and we feel helpless.. he truly is lucky to have you and DH in his corner.. they truly know that we love them to the moon & back, and that we'd do anything for them.. I know it's muddled when all we can seem to focus on is them being angry with us.. He WILL get through this! You could not pay me to be a teenager again!!! I really think they've got an immense load to bear just by being themselves. I find myself counting the days now for DD17 to graduate and be done with such small-minded people

Hang in there, lady! We are all here to support you and are always in your corner!

You go girl! 172, thats awesome!

I am also trying to keep LC right now for a couple weeks. we got this!

I am sorry to hear DS15 is having a hard time. High school is so hard. And I know it must be so hard for you as a mother to see him going through a dark spot. Hopefully with some help from the therapist he can be feeling/doing better soon.

Good morning, my LC buddy! I'm back on it with you, at least through the end of the month. Only think I'm "trying" to do now is keep to less than 50 calories (HWC) until early afternoon. Sort of IF but not JUDDD.

I'm so glad you have a good relationship with DS's counselor. It's such a crazy hard time of life to go through, and the whole family is going through it too! How is DD dealing with it all?

I 100% agree with you on this! The world is so hard on teens now. They aren't smart enough, parents push sports like they will all be pros, the pressure to perform at school is horrendous, the drug scene is busier than ever and KIDS are horrible to each other! FACT!
