Good thinking CMB!

I don't give up during LENT but my DD12 does. She has given up desserts in her lunch box, she has also added random act of kindness to others each day! She's such a great person!

A lot going on at work and at home! Sorry I have been MIA. Hope to be able to stop by everyone's page tomorrow. Just a lot in my mind right now.

173.6 - going in the right direction

Taking a week off of exercise. That's the only thing besides lettuce and mexican this weekend that could be stalling my weight loss. Also going to lower my use of sugar alcohols...its a trap for me... Gotta dig in and try some stuff.... Oh and my scales on the fritz too... Any models of a good scale you guys use? On the hunt for one of these too... I have been using the weight watchers scale but its on its last legs...

Busy Monica, as usual! Hope all is well and good.

Julie, my scale is a Thinner and has to be almost 15 years old, so not much help from me!

I just buy something at walmart. Not sure the brand. It doesn't matter, I don't LIKE any of the scales!

The weekend is here! Here's to a great weekend.

Carol, are you LCing now instead of JUDDD? DId I read that somewhere.

This week I have done 10 minutes a day of hula. NO weights or such. I think next week I can finally get back to my walking 5 miles a day with NO ICE on the sidewalks! YEAH!

Happy Friday, Monica! Are you having a calmer weekend? Hope the weather is nice for you all weekend. The walking sounds nice.

Yep, I'm straight LCing for a time. I'm just having a lot of diet fatigue lately and the DDs were stressing me out. Just trying to "shake it up" for awhile and get my mojo back. I started a thread about it over in the JUDDD area and it seems I'm not the only one!

Hi LoCarbGal - I have thought of doing this especially on a travel work week. What will you set your carb limit to? Thanks for sharing!

Well then, enjoy this calm-before-the-storm weekend! Sounds like beautiful weather coming your way...finally! I may be coming back to the area this spring. Possibly in May, but nothing is firm yet. I'll let you know and hopefully we can meet!

You can FB stalk me if you want, but I'm so inactive on there (in terms of posting on my own page), and I don't really talk diet or weight there, IYKWIM! So it'll be a boring stalk for you!

Hey Julie! I haven't been tracking anything (I think calorie tracking was what was causing my diet fatigue) but in my head I have around 20-25g as my limit. I've done LC for so many years, I think I've got a pretty good routine as far as what I can eat to accomplish that. I'm also thinking of doing a fat fast at some point, but not yet because I don't want to restrict and cause more fatigue right now. Gotta get stronger and get my resolve back, ya know?

Hey Monica, So glad that the weather Is breaking for all of us. We did not get the ice like they said. So I hope it missed you too. Sun up and heading for the 50's I think today. Open the windows a very little bit for a few hours to air winter out.

Oh I am sorry I had to just get kitty off the copier she just turned it on. Oh the life of a kitten.

Well I hope you have a great weekend. Hugs

I have had 4 up days in a row. I will probably be MIA for the week. I am only working M/T/ 1/2 day on W. DD12 and I are heading to Tulsa (she is on spring break from 03/13 - 03/21. We are meeting my BFF and her kids. It is the 1/2 way point between here and Dallas. We plan to stay at the hotel from Wed through Saturday. Watch movies, let the kids swim, get pedicures, maybe do some shopping, basically, just hang out!!! I am really looking forward to it. When we return, my parents will be at the house from Saturday - Tuesday. It will be a crazy week for me/us!

I have totally lost my MOJO for following any plan. I have no one to blame but myself. I will check in when I can.

Your week sounds crazy-busy, but so much fun! You guys have a safe trip and enjoy every minute of it!

I know you will get your mojo back. But don't worry about it while you're away. Just have fun and enjoy.

My mojo is with me in fits and starts. I'm glad I feel it at least some of the time, but not enough that I'm consistently focused enough to get any real weight loss results right now. I'm trying to just relax into this break and maintain, but I WANT TO BE LOSING! Grrr....

See you when you get back!

20 minutes of hooping without dropping it is great! You're really building up your endurance. I think that was about the point when I realized I could go for really long times....if I wanted to.

Tomorrow is the big trip, right? Have a wonderful time!

Yes, today is TRIP DAY! I leave work at 1:00 today and DD12 and I will head out around 2:00. Tulsa is 4 hours from here. Eating will be iffy all weekend. Such is!!!! I plan to hit it hard when I get back. No more traveling till Easter. We are tentatively planning a BEACHES resort trip for Memorial day week. I need to lose some to feel ok in my swimming suite for a week!

I got in 30 minutes with the hoop yesterday and 10 this morning. No walking the weather was horrible yesterday!

Thanks Carol and JUDY!

Have FUN! I don't know how I am about to do in a swimsuit for a week but we will see. My goal is to have a lot of fun and enjoy myself but not to think I can eat everything in sight because I am on vacation. Think I can come back from an all inclusive resort the same weight as when I left? we will see. My goal was to lose no more than 2 pounds but now I think I want to challenge myself to gaining more. I think I can do it with some moderation and staying active!

Hello dear Monica! I'm so enthralled that you are hooping! I have never been able to keep it up even for five seconds. Not since I was a little girl. I have one somewhere I think.

I've just caught up in your journal. Loved reading everything!

Have fun on your trip!

Having a fun time. Had some tough news the day we were headed out of town. My DS15 issues came to a head. I do believe he is battling depression. Councilors at school called us and everything . I had already set up an appointment for him to talk with someone. I was so freaked out by it all. He asked me to still go on
The trip, said he would feel awful if I didn't. In the end we decided that it would only make things worse it we had stayed home . Plus he had school and a tournament yesterday and a church lock in today.

Thoughts prayers for him
Would he greatly appreciated

I'm so sorry. It seems to me that being a kid is so much harder than it was even when my daughters were in school and they both graduated in '01 and '04 respectively. School seems so much tougher now.

It's hard for me as an adult to see me any other way than all the horrible things I may tell myself. So for a young man I bet that it is even worse.

I will be sending all my healing thoughts to your son and to your family. Hang in there darlin'.
