Sounds like a pretty active day! And you're building up on the hula hoop. Are you enjoying it at all?

Carol, I do enjoy it. Like you, I watch TV while hula-ing. I still drop it. I notice that toward the end of the 10 minutes, I get tired, so I drop it more! Working on that.

Yesterday I got in 3 miles and 10 minutes on the hula!

Jenn - how was that movie? I am not a fan of the lego type things. I know the kids all love it though.

I need to get to work on my hula'ing I'm still not past the part of where I laugh too hysterically to even do it for more than a couple minutes.... especially when DH is in the room.

Have a great day!!

It does take awhile to quit the hula/laughing! I still can't do it when anyone is watching me.

THIS is going to be a GREAT DD! I just know it.

So far my DD has been good. I am right at 470c and if I eat tonight, it will be all veggies!!!

We can do this CAROL!

I can hula if it's DD12 in the room. When DH comes in, I just have to tell him to LEAVE! -- he starts with the Se xual comments and I am DONE

had a good DD yesterday. Ended at 600c. Even so, the scale didn't move. 175.4

I will keep at it. I didn't do my hula and weight routine last night. Too many places the kids needed taken to. I will do it today. I leave work early to get DS15 registered for his Sophomore year. WHERE does the time go???

It's FRIDAY! Big / Crazy weekend this weekend at my house. Tonight I am the chairperson for BINGO night at the middle school. DD12 has a 2 day volleyball tournament. Our friends got a hotel room (because it is 1 hour from us) for Friday and Saturday. She will head out at 5:00 this afternoon. DS15 has a Forensics tournament tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow we will send him off for his tournament, then head to where DD12 is playing. We will take in her morning games, then we have to head to my sister's house. BIL's surprise birthday party is tomorrow night! SOOOOOO we will leave DD12 with the friends at the tournament, DS15 has a ride to/home from the forenics thing tomorrow...then he will sleep at the neighbors house!

Sunday, not sure what we will do yet. Plan is to get up, fairly early, and head to DD12's games. We plan to offer our friends the chance to go HOME and we stay the rest of the day. Not sure they will take us up on that and if they don't, we may not go! Just way too much for a weekend. I have had to plan/stratagize to make this all work. Us being gone overnight and them both needing to be here! *WHEW*

Good morning all! I did my hula and weight routine last night. I made it 6 full minutes without dropping it!!! That is GREAT for me!!!

Good morning all! WARNING --- broken record alert --- so I didn't follow any sort of rotations this weekend. Just too much going on. I can't seem to focus. The next couple weekends are fairly quiet for us. I plan to follow the rotations and stick with the plan! If I can just muster a couple good solid weeks, I could get back on track. I seem to always have some sort of excuse.

The weekend was great. DS15 got to all his forensics stuff. DD12 played in 28 matches of volleyball and DH and I took in the surprise party for my BIL. All was sucessful. BIL had no idea about the party. WE got him good. Now for a work week. I just wish I had an extra day off to SLEEP!

Glad you were able to get through your crazy weekend! I also find myself feeling like a broken record. We got this though! Even though I have some pretty lofty goals right now I am trying to find peace/comfort in things happening slower just as long as they are going in the right direction and as long as my habits are changing. I think that is key for me at least.

Sounds like a successful weekend to me! Keeping to rotations with all that going on would be challenging, for sure. I bet the surprise party was fun! I love it when you can really surprise someone like that.

We may go back to set rotations. At least when I did MWF up days, I would get a solid 3 DD's each week. Right now, I barely get in 2. We will see how this week goes and move on from there.

As I stated, the next few weekends should be a bit easier to navigate through, but then Mid March the crazy starts up again. I ordered some appetite suppressing TEA. I am not a tea or coffee drinker. Thought I would try. I like how soup, being hot, fills me up. Hoping that the TEA will help with that. Time will tell. It got great reviews on Amazon. I just get so hungry on DD's that I can't function. I have always struggled with that.

Yesterday I got in 5 miles, 10 (HORRIBLE) minutes with the hula and my weight routine. That's good!

What is the tea that you ordered?

I do Moroccan mint green tea. I was never much of a tea drinker until I traveled to Morocco a couple years ago and fell in love with it. It is definitely my DD secret weapon (maybe not so secret..)

I like the idea of set DDs (MWF). I have thought about it for myself. I think it is sort of what I am doing on these weekends when it is pretty much impossible for me to have a perfect weekend. Once I get to April I may play with it for all the time. I think I could probably do better with that as far as consistency goes.

Good plan. Smart to look back at what was working for you before and recreate that, and I'll bet it'll take a lot of pressure off on your weekends.

Oh, that horrible hula hoop! It's being mean to you? Bad hula hoop!

I'm sorry you're not finding it fun. I was playing around with the side to side vs. the front to back movement you were talking about, and your front to back movement definitely seems like more work to me, so I've been trying to incorporate that into my workouts. Working different muscles and using more effort is good!

Have a great day, friend!

I did a great 10 minutes on it yesterday. I think my issue is, I have been tired lately. When I am tired, I really struggle with the hoop! Planning to get in another 10 minutes tonight, plus my weight routine. No walking yesterday and today. Yesterday morning wind chill was -5*, today it was 4*! Hoping that SPRING gets here soon!!! Way to incorporate a lot of different movements. I will say, where my hip bone sticks out on my left side, I have a SOLID bruise from the HOOP! It's funny!
