RD, I know NOTHING about guitar. Tristan has played for 2+ years now and loves it. He is an 80's rocker. Loves all that old hairbands stuff. Now that is right up my alley!

Anna - thank you! You are right, the time flies by!!!!! I can't believe he is going into 8th grade and Haven into 5th!!!!!!

Izzy - thanks girl!
Me too! My bands coverd Def Leppard, Poison, Warrant, Tesla, and when we were ambitious, Van Halen. I still play Van Halen on my acoustic pretty often and my kids recognize the beginnnig to Panama and Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love.

And, of course, Rush - greatest group in history.

Sounds like Tristan. I think you would get along well with him. I will add to that list. He loves AC/DC, Motely Crew and even some current bands!

Have a great day RD!!!

Yesterday was a good up day. I think the calories were right at 1920ish. Right in line where I need them to be. Today's down day is planned. Strawberry/cottage cheese come mid morning and cottage cheese/tomato salad for lunch. Mushrooms and chicken for dinner! I think calories are 500c or so with all that figured in!

weigh in tomorrow. I think I will be much the same. Been eating out a bit more on up days and controling calories in that setting is tougher. This weekend may be tricky as we will be at my Mom's house Saturday and Sunday. Saturday being the DD. I think we are leaving to go there in the morning, so hopefully that will cut part of the day food-wise out!

Well I had a horrible blood sugar crash just before lunch, after my walk. I think it was the heat. That messes with my blood sugar sometimes. So this DD will include a 190c protein granola bar. I NEVER eat those on DD's, but something had to give. I had the shakes and was well on my way to full blown sweats too. I feel much better now. I ate the granola bar while my DH got our lunch ready and I have eaten that too now. I feel much better. Hoping that was the end of it for today! I haven't had an episode like this in forever! Moving on and accepting the calories today will be closer to 700 instead of 500!

Over the coarse of my plan, I have lost 17 pounds and evyerhting is big on me. Thanks for asking!

I weighed today. I am down, .6 from last week but still up .6 from my signature! GRRRR I seem to be happily maintaining! DARN IT Apparently the 160's will have to wait for another week. Yesterday was a HIGHER Down day. It came in right at 700c. With my blood sugar episode, I think that's good. I cannot ignore when I my sugar drops so very low! I weighed 170.8 today and DH weighed 200.8. We are both so very close to a new decade and HIM the ONEderland!

Last night I had fajita chicken, mushrooms and miracle rice all stir fried together with an egg. It was delicious! I am definitely having that again!

Up day here. We are making GF pizza tonight! YUM

Yesterday was a good up day. I think I came in right at 1980 calories! We had pizza and wine last night. LOVE THAT! I stayed up way too late to watch the Beach Volleyball. WE DVR it all and I was 2 days behind. I didn't get to yesterday's game until 9:30 last night. LOVE That Walsh and May won gold again. From what I gather, it is May's last game with Walsh! That makes me sad. They truly have brought that sport to where it is today!

DH and I still got up early to get our walk in. MUST go to bed early tonight!

Today was my 2nd ever botched DD. Not UUAD, but not on plan either. Tomorrow will be a lower Up day and Saturday a perfect DD. I was simply Hungry! Plain and simple.

Dusted off the crumbs and have moved on. Today I am drinking my water and scaling back things. I think back to the basics with food will be my direction. I say direction because I know there will be some cake in my food list for Sunday..... so moving in that direction!

JUDDD for maintenance, yes I will. My down days will be higher and up days will stay the same. I dusted all the weekend crumbs off and had a stellar down day yesterday. Last night I wanted to eat anything/everything in the house, but I stayed OUT OF THE KITCHEN! Today will be a nice up day!

Back to school is tomorrow for my kids. They are both extremely sad! I am ready, ready to have them busy during the day and ready to not pay the extra $200 a week for the nanny to drive them here there and everywhere!

First day of school here. My poor son has such anxiety issues. He was awake till 11:30 worrying about first day of school. comfort to him. Then this morning he missed his bus. Talk about stressing an 8th grader out! I made no big deal of it, drove back home and took him. Hopefully the rest of his day goes better! Haven was all about going to school. I hope her day goes well too!

I think I might surprise them both and all of us go to the movies together Friday night! Something fun!

Yesterday was a perfect up day for me. 1842c and my range starts at 1850 - 2050c, can't get much closer than that!

So far my DD is going well. Hoping to hold off breakfast for another hour!

Oh sorry about your ds stressing about school...I remember those days, but from what I've seen it's a lot harder on children now. Hope his anxiety eases by the end of the week.

Thanks Liz, we are actually looking into private school for him. He is freakishly smart/advanced and I have felt, for a long time, that the school district is not properly challenging him. Not sure where this will lead.

Yesterday was a good DD. I stayed right at 550c. Today I was grateful to be eating breakfast. I woke up STARVING!!!!! Goal for today is 1850-1950c. Should be good. We made Cleo's crockpot lasagna with ground turkey last night. Tonight I will throw it in the oven (instead of the crock) and we will eat up! For the kids I will make rolls or something to go with it. Not sure what I will have with it. I'm having salad with lunch, so it WON'T be a salad!

Not weighing in today. I will wait till Wednesday next week to hop on the scale. I'm not sure all the "weekend crumbs" have settled/gone away yet!

Tonight at the movies might be tough! Thankfully the kids are going to a different show then we are. They can order their popcorn or fries and we won't be anywhere close. I will drink my Coke Zero and think about what I will be eating tomorrow! Hubby is making GUAC for us to take to our friends house for lunch! LOVE THE GUAC

Thanks Izzy. We are already leaning toward leaving him where he is at but want to pursue all options so we can feel it is the best decision.

DH informed me he plans to have popcorn tonight. I am sure I will have some too. I will skip dinner and eat some of his popcorn. We don't do butter on it so that helps a bunch! Sparkle is what we are seeing. The kids are seeing that Timothy movie. Can't remember the full name!

Izzy - how was your movie?? Sparkle was really good , I couldn't believe how bad Whitney looked. I would say they did it for the movie but I don't think that is the case. The kids loved the Timothy movie. We bought Hinger Games so I'm watching that tonight , loved it in the theater too!!! It's a movie weekend for me.

He wasn't done with work til 7pm last night so I opted to stay in. Healthier choice for me. I'm really eating clean lately. No cravings. And there would have been wine last night (and he's a smoker). I cancelled plans with him this afternoon also. Don't know why exactly. I"m on a roll with my exercise and food and usually get derailed by going out socially. I think the fact that he's only here temporarily is a factor also. I'm sure I'll see him again. Because it does get lonely, living alone...

We didn't see the movie. I may go to the dollar show and see Snowwhite and the huntsman. Charlize Theron is a favorite actress. I really do want to see that Timothy movie also...

Izzy - my children loved the Timothy movie. I thought Sparkle was really good. My son saw the Snow White movie and said it was great. I will catch it on DVD when it is out.

Recovery?? Well, I had it done on a Thursday and by that Monday I was able to resume my 5 mile a day walking. Now the cramping stuck around a while but I just took Advil for it. I never did take any of the pain meds they sent home with me. The worst part was the day of. The cramping was bad. When I got home I used a heating pad on my tummy. I had taken Friday off to "recover". My Mom had come just to hang with me, we ended up marthon shopping that next morning. so I didn't take it easy at all and I did fine. HTH

My weekend was good. As I stated, Friday's DD ended up a bit high. Yesterday did too! I have been getting sloppy with my eating lately. POOR PLANNING is the problem. I try to hold off on eating and then I hold off too long and am starved and then I just grab whatever. I think calories were around 950 yesterday. Not awful but not where they need to be at all. It's been more maintenance levels...guess that's why I haven't seen the 160's yet!

Today is a nice up day!
