What's your 2 ingredient FUDGE????

FUn weekend ahead for me. Tonight DD12 and I are heading to Quarter Mania. Google it. It looks like so much fun! I have 3 rolls of quarters ready for us to go. While we are there, DH and DS15 (birthday for him) are going to a movie I think. Either that or DS15 will go with his girlfriend Aimee. Once that is all done, we are going out to a dinner of HIS choice for his birthday.

Tomorrow DS15 has debate all day. I plan to make a stop at the High Schools holiday sale, then DH, DD12 and I are heading to KState for nephew's college graduation. Once we get home from that, we will probably kick back have dinner at the house and chill.

Sunday is Church/SS kids program. Then DH and I have to gather all the supplies for our Work's holiday baskets. We are sending out cookies/party mix/sweet bread/coffee/cocoa/mugs to 24 of our best customers/associates. DD12's softball teams made all the cookies and party mix for it. We are making a generous donation for their upcoming year of playing!

WHEW, busy weekend for us!!!!

Happy Birthday to your DS!!!!

Two ingredient fudge is easy peasy.

1 12 oz bag of chocolate (or any other flavor) chips (chocolate, butterscotch, ect)
1 container any flavor frosting (not the whipped kind)

Melt the chips and then stir in the frosting. Spread into a foil lined, greased pan (8x8) and refrigerate until firm.

Some people have said they have used Hershey kisses in place of the chips with good success, but I've never tried it.

Here's another easy one.

Melt white chocolate coating (candy melts, candyquik, what have you) and then stir in craisins and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on foiled lined cookie sheet and refrigerate until firm. Delicious and different!

Great weigh-in today Monica! Keeping busy is working for you!

That fudge sounds simple and delicious! I think I can manage to add that to my Christmas treat repertoire, since it would take hardly any time. I just wish I could still find cinnamon chips. They used to have them in the store, but now I can't find them anywhere. I miss my cinnamon fudge!

169.4 today

I haven't mentioned it here, we are hosting a huge holiday party at the Ceramics shop. I say huge because initially it was just supposed to be us/my parents/my sister/BIL, well, I mentioned it to XX and XX, we now have 25 people that will be attending. THANK YOU LORD, it isn't at our house but we are making the food for it. Mom is bringing meat balls and little smokies. Here's the menu:

Meat balls
little smokies
guacamole
summer sausage/cheese platter
various crackers
Peanut butter cheese ball
teddy grahams and graham crackers
7 layer dip
chips

then I think we will have Wine/Beer/Pop for the kids.

Oh and I am going to buy 3 big bags of Christmas Candy and have it there too!

What started out so small, is now, not small at all! here i thought if/when I would mention it to everyone they would all be, oh no, we are busy....NOT!

NOW you tell me!

Here is the recipe for the PB Cheese ball:

Ingredients

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese at room temp
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup creamy PB (not all natural)
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
3/4 cup PB Chips (although I used white chocolate chips)

Serve with graham crackers sticks, teddy grahams, apples, or just plan graham crackers.

Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, PB and brown sugar in large mixer bowl till blended. Spoon onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Bring all four corners together forming a tightly shaped ball. Freeze for 1 1/2 hours or until firm enough to keep shape. Then place the Chocolate and PB Chips in a dish and roll the ball in them. You may need to press some of the chips into the ball.

Place ball on serving dish, cover and freeze for 2 hours until almost firm. Can be made ahead and frozen over night. If so, then thaw for 20 - 30 minutes before serving.

I put my "ball" in the freezer in a bowl to insure it kept it's ball shape.

The kids LOVE this! I am not a fan, but then again, I can't eat graham crackers, so no big deal.

Candy bar fudge (SUPER EASY)

Ingredients:
1/12 cups crushed candy bar (like Butterfinger)
2 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) condensed milk
1/2 cup peanuts

Line 8-inch square pan with parchment paper leaving overhang; sprinkle with 1/2 cup candy. Melt chips in condensed milk over low heat. Add nuts and candy. Pour into pan, chill. Cut into squares and serve.

SUPER easy and REALLY GOOD. I would imagine you could even add PButter instead of Peanuts if you want. EASY PEASY!

We added Rotel dip to our list of items for the party.

We prep when we have moments. The cheese is all cut up and ready. The Guac is made up and ready. The PB ball is sitting in the freezer. Today I will put the chips on it. The rotel dip is cubed up and sitting in the crock in the fridge waiting of us to pop it out and place in burner and turn it on. DH will make the 7 layer dip on Friday, just before the party!

Tonight I will get Holiday plates/napkins and the ingredients for my Champagne punch. We decided to do the bucket frozen margaritas too. BOTH SUPER EASY! We have cans of sprite for the kids. Almost set!

Monica thank you for posting all the great recipes! I'm definitely making the candy bar fudge for Christmas Day!!

You know I was in Lawrence Kansas about 40 years ago....my brother and his wife lived there for a time and I visited them for a couple of weeks. Just a random thought...

This ceramics place? Is it a green ware place? Do you have classes and stuff? I used to to do that years ago, I really liked it.

I don't know what Green Ware means, but they have the white unpainted items for you to pick. Then you paint them, they fire them up!

The glass is what I like to do. We have several glass projects we all make there. Our favorite is to make words with each person making a letter. We have LOVE at our house. I made the L! LOL They are glass tiles. The Shop melts them all for us.

It's a small place. They may be freaked out about the number. I invited another family today...and SHOCK of SHOCKS they are coming too! All told, could be 30 there! It will be FUN
