I know Marika, I just love them SO!!!!!!!!!!! I think at my age though, 43, I need to get away from them! I have really abused my feet. I ran for years and I walk 5 miles 5 days a week. I have been UP to as high as 230 pounds and even hit 250 when I was pregnant with my son! That's a lot for feet to carry!

I did buy some cute shoes this weekend! I really like them AND I bought inserts! Now, I need to get in the habit of icing my foot each evening....but typically when I go to bed, I'm so tired....I JUST WANT TO SLEEP!

Good weekend for us. DD's team won 3 and lost 2. The bracket play loss was brutal. Bad call (which I NEVER state) ruined the game. DD11 was pitching and we had 2 outs, bases loaded, threw a 3rd strike and catcher dropped the ball. Catcher stepped on homeplate (which is all that is needed when bases are loaded) and our team started leaving the field. The other teams runners even walked off, ONE making it back to the dug out when their coach screamed for them to head back on and run the bases. Stupid refs let them go back on and counted all 4 runs! We lost the game 5-6! Tough loss, but good learning lesson. Sometimes in life, BAD CALLS are made!

Other than that, it was all good. Weather was amazing! Friday nights games were chilly. I LOVE FALL!

We didn't walk this morning, it was raining! I got over 8 hours of sleep! LOVE THAT! I went to bed early and then, slept in! SOmetimes it is nice to do that!

I hate to feed your flip-flop habit (I love them so just like you!), but I've been wearing Havaianas for a couple of years now during the summer and they are surprisingly comfortable. And I carry some serious weight and have bad knees and some kind of heel thingy that comes and goes right now. They aren't cheap, but really cushy.

But you might be wearing them already! And all of you guys are right - they are not a good, supportive shoe.

Daisy, those shoes look so cute!!!!!! I love them! I am currently wearing Birkenstocks as they have the dip in the back that helps with PF heels but they have such thick dividers that go between the toes! I will look into those!

Good Morning Monica!!

Just commiserating with you, BOO to bad calls and that was a bad call!

And I adore flip flops but they kill me after a summer of wear.

It's been so hot here, I can't wait for real fall weather! Enjoy your rain, I would love some but So Cal is suspiciously dry...

Monica- good night sleep is so important. I have been sleeping better past 2 nights. Cool weather helps a lot!

I tried wearing Birkenstocks, but my flat feet can't take high arch support. I really love Naots. They just have enough arch support without killing my soles.

Have a great week ahead!

Had a great DD yesterday. It was BUNCO night for me so I was surrounded by Cheese puffs (LOVE THOSE) M&M"s (really love those) PB/White chocolate popcorn....and ate nothing! Total calories for the day were right at 540c. Really good for me!

I'm an M&M lover myself. Got the new pumpkin ones. They're not bad. A bit addictive if you're an M&M fan though! At least I know what they taste like

Oh gosh, saw it was a DD for you!!! I would not have survived!

I am impressed!

This up day down day thing really intrigues me, but I believe I'm too much of a binger and the up day would be absolutely disastrous for me. I love watching your journey though.

Here's to successful down days!

Daisy - it isn't for everyone. I still have Up Days that get out of control, but they aren't as plentiful anymore!

Gina - good to have you back.

Carol - Good to see you girl!

Kim - I resisted this month, next month for BUNCO may be a completely different story!

Marika - how goes it girl?

Blonde - I do enjoy BUNCO! I don't win much, but man for $3 to laugh and hang for 2 hours....WELL WORTH IT!

Sirtain - how are you doing? Nice seeing you girl.

Katie - now, the pumpkin ones I don't think I could do. I am more a "traditionalist" when it comes to M&M's. I love the PB ones, the Peanut ones and the plain ones. I am even ok with the Almond ones.....but these new FREAKY flavors, I don't think I can do!

Yesterday was a good up day! It was maybe 40 over, so that is great. I didn't drink any wine, even though DH was. I am trying to DRY out a bit. Still having it on ocassionally, but not as often as I was!

DS14 has found new focus. Really counting and sticking with the numbers again. Plus adding the running 3 days a week. I think he would like to see another 10 be gone! If he lost 10 more, he would be 185. I think at 5'11" (at this moment) that is a good weight. Who knows where he will end up!

Oh girl i hear you on the wine! I love a good glass of wine (or three) but I haven't had any alcohol in several days. I feel better, and I feel like I have more energy. When I started that 'other' job I was coming home every night and drinking. It was one of the signs I was going down the wrong career path. I don't think it's conducive to weight loss (for me). I stall every single time. Good for you!

DS has made amazing strides, I'm so happy for him. JUDDD can be a life changer.

Have a fabulous day!

Oh my, your son is TALL for his age!! I'm trying to remember back when my oldest played football and was around that age and I think he was about 5'9"-10" and 165 or so? He has his mother's butt (not as big tho of course) and these big shoulders/bones, so carried it all over and looked great. So definitely 185 sounds like a great weight for your DS. Hurray for him!

Great job sticking to those numbers, mama!!! So proud of DS and his desire to be healthy...this will go a long way when he is an adult.

I'm resigned to the fact that my beloved beer is OUT. It's not difinitive but I believe that it is one big culprit in the case of my MAJOR bloated belly...

Have a great day lady!

Jacque, plus he also has size 13 feet . Hoping his feet stop growing. Guessing, he will pass up DH (who is 6 foot) here by end of year. He just keeps shooting upwards! With a BASE as big as his feet, heck, who knows how tall he will be!

My oldest wears size 13 too - yes, I do hope they stop growing for your sake (and his). Way too hard to find shoes much bigger than that! Mine didn't wear size 13 at that age though, maybe 15-16 y.o.? So you hopefully only have one size up left to buy.
