Yesterday's DD was a bit on the higher side. With what I could control, it was 600c. Breakfast was at my Mom's, she made a casserole, I had the smallest piece there. No clue, guessing, I was probably around 800c for the day. Not great, but not a horrible DD either!

Looking forward to a FOOD FILLED up day!

Very funny story about your DD! I am so glad that the parade was FUN! I'll bet your dad is so proud of you and your family!

Thanks guys, you know DAD was proud. I haven't been to the Fair there since probably high school...which was 25 years ago. I am sure he was shocked we all were coming!

Glad you had a wonderful time at the fair, parade - and that you love Homeland!
So nice to see extended family and long-ago friends. at your daughter's comment. At least she's past the age where she makes rude (but true) comments out loud about strangers close enough for them to hear.

I keep hearing about "Homeland", but I'm fearful to add another TV watching opportunity! lol

That is super cute about your dad.

I watched the first couple of episode but I just couldn't get into it, I've just started watching 'Covert Affairs' which I think is on the 4th season now and 'Under the Dome'. We download everything we watch as it takes months for stuff to show here x

Just catching up now, after time away. I think most of us are 'abstainers' and that's why JUDDD works for us--it is easier to say 'no' than 'just a little'.

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

It's on Showtime, so each season is just 12 episodes. I think you can rent them from Video stores or, do as I am, buying them off Amazon for about $20 a season!

Yesterday was a good Up Day! Right where it needed to be.

Today, thus far has been a bit of a struggle for a DD. I ate my standard and even a snack before my 2 miles walk at noon....well my sugar TANKED! So, it's is 2:00 p.m. and I have had 500c , not sure what else will happen.

OH and I am almost 100% Certain I have plantar facitis in my left foot. GRRRR I have had it before and know it can take MONTHS to heal! Trying to baby it, but keep moving!

Hope your DD goes well - but eat what you need to take care of yourself Monica!

I had fairly bad plantar fasciitis back when I used to run. Finally, after going through a few podiatrists, I saw a really great ex-gymnast chiropractor that gave me a series of exercises to do and sort of did some kind of weird major wrenching / pulling on my foot. It took a month or so to work on it doing the exercises every day and I had about 6 appointments with him, but whatever he did worked wonders and I haven't had a problem since - must be 15 years or so now?

Oh, that's a bummer about plantar facitis
I hope you find a solution as I know how much you like to walk.
Sometimes changing sneakers can help. I read you should change your walking sneakers often, much more often than people think.

I had it back in 2010 really bad too. Mine was due to running and it got so bad I also developed a heel spur. I too saw a chiropractor to finally get it corrected but that was after wasting WAY TOO MUCH money at a podiatrist (I do NOT believe in podiatrists anymore) and even trying accupuncture! It was the other foot last time. I am doing exercising and stretching along with ice, I will see how it goes!

Aleina - thanks for stopping by.

Yesterday's DD ended up around 900-950c. Not great, but moving forward.

I am going to start weighing after EVERY DD (that is a huge thing for me to weigh that often). Trying to get more accountability.

Today 09/11/13 - 174

I think I need to poke around in your journal to find out more about your JUDDD. It sounds interesting and I do like intermittent fasting. I am occasionally/often a binger and worry a little bit that fasting could be a trigger? Although everything seems to be a trigger lately.

I'm off to poke around . . .

Weighed today 171.4 VERY HAPPY with this.

I am starting to weigh after each DD! It is a big step for me and I PROMISED myself it would NOT dictate my day/mood/attitude! Although, it was hard not to be HAPPY about it! LOL

Ladies it is FRIDAY! WOOHOO! Bring on the weekend. Now if I just didn't have to work today!

Weekend plans? DD11 has her first softball tournament with her new team. She is BEYOND excited. My parents are coming for it. Tonight she has 2 games, 7:30 and 9:00 (THANK YOU GOD it is in town). We are doing a picnic at the fields for dinner. Tomorrow she plays at 2:30. Sunday is bracket play. Tomorrow night we are having our pastor/wife/daughter over for dinner. It is Kim (wife's) birthday. They are Dear friends so we always enjoy hanging out with them. PROMISE is will clean up my mouth and behave! Sunday will be hopefully GAMES for DD11 (championship or such) I start teaching Sunday School again and there's church. If she is playing in the a.m., I will do SS and skip church...someone pray for me! Weather is PERFECT! Today sunny, low humidity and high of 78*, tomorrow EXACTLY the same! BRING ON FALL! LOVE IT!

GO HUMMERS Lawrence girls softball 12U

Hi Monica!!

Just getting caught up here after being away for a couple weeks (and yes, I was bad with food and back into the 200's.) --funny you mention the foot problems--I just went to a Podiatrist for the first time and was diagnosed with Haglund's Syndrome. Very painful calcium deposits on the backs of my heels. I can't do the surgery...don't want to be out of commission for 12 weeks, so I'm doing everything I can to make it more tolerable. There aren't many styles of shoes (that look fashionable, that is) that don't have heels, especially since strappy sandals went out with Summer weather. ugh.

Hope you're doing well, and that your weekend is fabulous!

Marika - anytime it goes that direction, I'm good!

Daisy - enjoy your weekend girl!

For the picnic tonight we are having:

grilled hot dogs ( I have turkey ones for myself)
hummus
cheese/crackers
chips
strawberries and grapes
Monster Cookies

I have saved 1100 calories for it. I plan to enjoy it ALL!
