I had a great weekend. But I didn't do rotations. Today will be a CLEAN down day! It may actually kill me....but I will do it. 600c is what I am aiming for! We had so much fun. I don't regret any of it. We canoed, we went to the movies, we got pedicures and fired up the fire pit. There was food/Fun/drinks. It was awesome, but it is done. Right back to it today!

This week will be crazy. Another group of friends coming in to stay the entire week PLUS it's the world series for DD11's softball team. Festivities on Wednesday, Games on Thurs/Friday and possibly Saturday. Plus I have a graveside service and memorial I need to figure out how to get to!

Thanks all!

It's Tuesday, that's nice! My assistant is gone from work all this week, so I am going in early and staying late each day.

Yesterdays DD was pretty darn good. Closer to 800c instead of 600c, but after the last several days, I am calling that a WIN! Now I am enjoying my UD! Zucc/spinach lasagna for lunch and guac with something else for DINNER! YUM!

yesterday was a good Up day! I had 1000c going into the evening. I prefer that. WE had guac/mexican meal. I even had a couple "lite" margaritas~ Something didn't agree with me and my tummy is still sour! BUMMER! It all tasted good!

I'm tired. Summer break just about kills me. Thankfully our guests are leaving tomorrow. Hoping that means I can GO TO BED EARLY! I will skip my book club gathering tomorrow. Been so busy with STUFF I am way behind on my reading! :blush:

Hope you get some good rest, congrats on the excellent up and down rotation. I'm hoping to get myself under control so that I can do the same. I know JUDDD works great, if I work it.

You are so right! In 3 weeks we will be CHILD FREE! I think DH and I will do something special! Not sure what, but it WILL be relaxing, fun and just he and I! Next week isn't supposed to be too busy. There will be no softball and no friends in town!

I think due to the stress of softball, guests staying with us....I didn't have a successful DD yesterday. I was TIRED, HOT and HUNGRY! it was 7:45 and the kids hadn't eaten (DD11 and a friend) and I ATE DINNER! Such is! I think for now, I will call it a win!

I need to also admit here. My head is not at all in "weight loss" mode. I haven't counted anything in July. I can't seem to get my head back in it. IF I do manage a DD, I do count that, but UD's I haven't really done the math since JUNE! I am a MESS!

When I started JUDDD, I began with the understanding that I was not going to count on my Up Days. I know that is not something I could sustain for any length of time, so I didn't want to set myself up for failure. I've said that if I stop losing I might start counting on Up Days, but you know what...I know I won't.

I DO like eating pretty much from the same set of things on my Down Days, so that I already know the counts. It makes it mentally easier, and since I am not trying to get right up to the limit of my calories by finessing my menus, it seems more in line with just writing own WHAT I am eating. A mental trick, I suppose, but it is working for me.

Maybe this summer you don't need to be in weight loss mode. If your head's not in the game, why not take a break?

We're having a heatwave here at the moment and unlike you guys who have a/c we just melt lol... but it does mean can't be bothered cooking!

You've done such a great job Monica, and you look fantastic. Why worry about a few vanity pounds right now? Life has you busy, and you're happy. Enjoy it! Then later *IF* you really want to lose more, you know how. But don't worry about it!

You all are so good to me. Thank you for your kind words and wonderful suggestions. I do think I will try to step back a bit....Not sure how I will proceed. I think I will try to log stuff this week, make sure I am staying close to where I need to be.

Had a great weekend although I didn't sleep well last night. DARN IT! Tonight will be better! BUNCO night with the girls, that's always fun!

It's Tuesday and life is a FUNK today. I hate when Adults think the world of SPORTS is so dang important....then it makes it ok to crush the dreams of 10/11 year olds. Thankfully my DD11 wasn't one of them, she was quitting, so IF they were going to, they didn't have to....and we will never KNOW!!! The sad part is the girls that we were close to that had to hear that is anything really THAT important????

Aw Monica, I'm sorry things are like that for you. Personally, I'm not even sure there is any such thing as *adults* anymore. There are lots of fully grown, physically mature specimens out there, but no one seems to act like they're adults anymore. I think about how my parents were as I grew up. They were sooooo much fun, but absolutely grown up and us kids and our needs always came first. Seems like no one around me thinks that way anymore (present JB company excluded!)

Carol - I think most adults are more CHILDISH and BABY-ish than any child I have come across. It's a Freaking GAME, that is all!

I'm over it. Moving forward and whereever she lands next to play, I want it to be about learning the sport and having fun! She tried out for a team last night, they want her, I'm just not sure about it. I guess I'm a little gun shy!

my DD yesterday was too high. I KNOW, I'm a broken record. Not sure why I even type it out anymore. Same CRAP different day......and I can't seem to pull it together!

Please be gentle with yourself, you are a wonderful person, mother, wife, friend. What about focusing on maintenance right now until you get through the rest of the summer, to take some pressure off?

Make the decision to take a break... maybe go 5:2 for a few weeks?
It might be the boost you need to shake things up, a little bit more relaxed but with still 2 days of accountability! xx
