Sirtain, let me know how that goes for your Daughter. I think we all plan to do 5:2 at our house once we are in maintenance. Which for me, might be NEVER!

Danielle - hoping it helps him for next year. SO many changes for him. Freshman in high school. His "girl Friend" and he will be at the same school. His schedule is loaded with some hefty hard core classes !

yesterday's DD was a bit high. More like 900-950c. I was just so hungry. Such is. It's a UP DAY today and it's book club night. I plan to leave at least 1000c for tonights meal at a local pub!

I get it, I sincerely do. My young'un is socially odd sometimes too!
DD is the type that would rather spend a Friday night with her dad & I rather than go out w/ friends.. reminds me of the movie 16 Candles; the scene with the parents dragging their son into the dance and throwing him into the gym and holding the door shut as he screams, but I wanna spend the evening with you guys! That's DD!

Hi sweetie! Your son has made great progress, a loss of 20 pounds is fantastic!
Just got back from vacation, up to 155 (hoping most is water) tomorrow is Daves birthday, so we are doing dinner then Queen music at the symphony! Making a chocolate cake. He said he will start his "diet" after his vacation is over on Saturday! LOL What's my excuse? Huh? lol
Don't remember if I posted that I bought a new honda civic (got 10,000 from my totalled honda fit). Good thing I financed for 5 years, because it looks like the job I was supposed to start...isn't....the engineering firm has been ignoring my company's requests about signing the contract. Work has already started. Need to find something pronto!

OH MY Danielle, that movie, BLAST from the PAST! DS14 isn't one to want to spend the weekend nights with us, he would rather burry himself in his MAN CAVE and play XBOX till his eyes bug out. When that teen party went bad and all the boys were drinking and they raped that girl who was so wasted that she was passed out (can't remember where it happened). It was on the news and I was sitting with DS14 and stating, all the wrong things with what had happened. He said, MOM, I can't imagine going to a large party like that with drinking and such. He said, my friends, we would gather, play Xbox, computer and such and eat pizza. Now that's fun! He even added, don't want too many there either, like maybe 3!

Izzy, I'm heading to your journal!

Gina - there's something to be said for hanging with your parents! I wasn't that way growing up, but my DH was, completely! He was a freaking ANGEL all the time!

Arriella - Book club was awesome! We finished up our current book discussion (and talked about a bunch of other things) and we will start our new book. I tend to read fast, so I will hold off starting it for a week or so. I tend to start, finish it well before we are supposed to!

It's FRIDAY! and a DD. I am determined to make this a good, managed calorie day. Tomorrow we are at the softball fields from 12:30 on! I am hoping the fields will be playable. TONS of rain this week here!

This reminded me of HS days, getting together and making Chef Boyardee pizzas from scratch (well the dough was from scratch), listening to 'albums' and playing cards with friends, This was all hosted by the HS art teacher who was only 24 herself. In rural Missouri this was acceptable, in the 'big city', not so much.

Have a great weekend!!

Blonde, that is hilarious. I made those very same pizza's with my GRANDMA all the time. It was our TREAT to do that with her. My looney grandma would also sprinkle SUGAR on top of it! That was HER thing!

That pizza with sugar sounds great to me . Your grandma sounds like mine. She would have done something like that.

So glad you had a great time at book club. It sounds like fun.

Don't worry about you son it sounds like he is doing fine.

OMG! THayer MO! Back in my college days my roommates and I were helping a friend move out to Jacksonville FL! I went to college in Springfield MO. We didn't make it far. We were in my parents car and it broke down in THAYER MO! It was at night and I knew it was the alternator. The local police man helped us get the car to the dealership and us to a motel. We walked to the lot the next morning and ate at a local dive for breakfast. I ate the BEST HOMEMADE CINNAMON ROLL of my life there. Big as the plate too! GOOD TIMES! I so know where that is girl! Nothing in the middle of nothing!

SOn is doing amazing. He weighed on Saturday and was down another 3 pounds. 203 and he is so hoping to be in ONEderland in a couple weeks. 23 pounds, I am so proud of him!

I scaled in at 170.2. I was so hoping to be in the 60's at that weigh in. But it wasn't the case. OH WELL, I will keep plugging away!

We had a good weekend. Food was pretty good both Sunday and Friday for my DD's and Saturday was well within range! Lazy day yesterday. Church, grocery store, read a bunch of my new book (hoping to finish it tonight) and went for a walk with DH! FUN! Now it's the work week! Let's get this party started!

What a crazy coincidence! I left MO after graduation but all of my pals were going to Springfield for college (150 miles west of Thayer). Know what else? It's entirely possible that the policeman who helped you was my Uncle, depending on what year you were there. I think there's still only one motel in Thayer.

The year we were in Thayer would have been May of 1991 I believe. We went in May 1990 but I drove my car that year, then we went back the following year I think. Or the year after. HECK! It would have been either 1991 or 1992!

Ahhhh...way after my time. I graduated in the early 70's. Still, what a great coincidence. I still have family all over those parts.

Yes it will! Do you have stuff for a mega-veggie salad? That always helped me out on DD's. I used Walden Farms and salsa for an almost zero calorie dressing.

Happy Tuesday!

This is AWESOME about your son! I think I could have succeeded on a plan like JUDDD at his age...if only I had known about it then.

And congrats to you for almost being in the 160s! Can't wait to be there myself!
