Thanks ladies! Last night was rough. I came in around 700 calories for a DD. That's high, but not bad. Up day here. I have already fueled with a nice breakfast. I need to figure out a good / easy way to have food at games on Down days. I will keep working on this!

Anna - sugar is evil for me too! With JUDDD I do have it, only occassionally!

Meg - when are you starting up again?

Hi Monica,
I am going to start up again after I get back from my trip this week. I am going to stay strict LC induction if I can so I will hopefully have my cravings and appetite under control to get the first 2 weeks of down days under contol. I think it will be easier to do a good JUDDD induction period while I am home...

Good plan MEG!!!

Yesterday I struggled to get UP TO my calorie level. WHO AM I??? I just wasn't really interested in eating. I did have a glass of wine at 8:00 and then a chewy protein granola bar. That got me pretty close!

It's a down day here. I'm already hungry (that does NOT surprise me). I plan to eat my string cheese and start downing more water here soon!

Yesterday was a DD and I got in 520 calories! I was so hungry when I went to bed...but I just went on and pushed for sleep, knowing breakfast was coming helped!

Today is an up day, shooting for 2000 calories. Food is a bit up in the air as we have had baseball/softball all week.

Weigh in day and I accidentally saw the scale. Such is! I am down 7.4 pounds in 4 weeks and DH is down 16.4 pounds. We are doing great and basically "dieting" only every other day! LOVE IT and I love JUDDD! .... especially since today is an up day!

Thanks RDB! I'll take any loss I can get! Of coarse, I will never get as thin as you dude....is that right? 153???? That seems low....

Yesterday's up day ended right at 1980 c, I have a goal of 2K, so that is right there. I have to say, up days are starting to get tough getting in the calories. I feel, at the end of the day, I am jkust forcing food. Must plan the day better. I did have a nice salad with KETTLE CHIPS for lunch yesterday...ON PLAN! Love that!

Have a headache now so I won't have my normal DD breakfast of string cheese. Going for 2 eggs so I can take some meds and get this bad boy under control!

Yesterday dd ended up 700 calories. I was starving last night, had to eat something . Today's up day is going good but it's 7:30 and I still have 580 calories to consume...never thought that would be an issue !!

Saturday's Up Day was good. I was struggling to get in the calories, AGAIN I never thought I would say that. I got in 1980c, so that was good.

SUnday was a perfect down day, 470c total. I didn't eat anything till 3:00, string cheese and then at 6:00 I had a large salad. It was a good eating day. Now emotionally it was a SUCK FEST day and I didn't turn to food....THAT is a shocking, amazing thing!

I am on my first DD back and man I am struggling. 150 c in and I am drinking tea and water like a maniac! I hope I make it through the day without breaking down.

Meg - in the beginning my DD's were closer to 700c. I have eventually worked my way down!

Yesterday was a stellar UD! Honestly though, at dinner, I wasn't hungry. I did snack a bit and I got my calories to about 1850 but it was a struggle! After I ate breakfast, I wasn't hungry! That is a really nice thing!

Today has been great. It's an awesome Down day. I am just getting ready to do some exercise too. Thus far today I've had only 80c! If DD's continue like this, I am SOLD for sure on JUDDD! Sunday's DD was awesome too.

On the calculator for JUDDD if I enter the first level of exercise my UD calories should be 2182 if I use NO exercise (which seems to be what most do) it's 1904. My down days per the calculator are 381 - 436. 470 is as close as I have come on the DD. My goal for all up days is to get in 1900c minimum. I go for the range 1900-2100c. Yesterday evening I just wasn't hungry. I seem to be forcing food. It's all odd for me. Before, even on LC, I could always eat. Hungry or not and didn't feel forced.

How are you doing???

By the way RD next week I am going to introduce weight training again. Start with 3 days a week working up to 5. It will be the Jillian DVD! It combines, cardio, weight and HIIT

Zipp that sounds great. I'm glad you are meeting with success and that you aren't starving all the time. I know the first few days were tough, but I suppose that's always the case. I'm excited to see how things go with exercise - good for you!

Thanks RD! Yes, in the beginning I did struggle with the dd calories but that has greatly improved! I just ate my lunch, 220c (total thus far today 300c) and I can honestly say I am stuffed! WOW I can't get over how JUDDD has changed my body AND mind set about food!

I have decided that JUDDD isn't going to work for me right now...so I am going back to good old atkins for a while until I feel like I am more in control. I had a disastrous down day binge on monday, and felt like junk all day yesterday...so back to low carb induction for me. I think I will probably try it again down the road. I still think it sounds like a great WOE!

Meg, you do what works best for you. That is always the case. With eating there is never 1 size/plan fits all!

I had a stellar DD yesterday. Total calories were 532. They would have been much lower but had some major "tough issues" with DS so after getting home, DH and I had a drink. I counted it and was still at 532. Today was weigh in day and I am down another 2 pounds. 9.4 thus far!

Up day that we didn't plan very well. Thankfully DH made up some chicken veggie dish! That will help. School ends here tomorrow. WE should be able to get back to planning meals and up/down days better!

Yesterday was a good Up Day! I logged 1863 calories! Actually when I got home from work I wasn't hungry...but I started nibbling on some Kettle corn that we got over the weekend. It was good! I ended up with a lot of that! which is fine, I counted it. Then I had just a small plate of whole grain tortilla chips, little cheese and salsa. It was a nice evening meal/snack!

So far my DD is good. The plan is for string cheese at 10:00 a.m. and my new fave salad for DD's is lettuce, little cheese, salsa, dollop of sour cream and a 100 c pack of wholy guac! LOVE IT! that is 300c which gives me 200 for tonight!

Yesterday turned into a mid day . We were outside in the heat so on my up day I didn't get in near enough calories! So I am making today an up day and tomorrow will be a down day. Hopefully this doesn't mess things up too much .

Made Monday my UD and today will be an "on mark" DD! I may or may not weigh tomorrow....with mixing up the rotation, there may be no need to see the number and get upset!

It was my weekend. My rotation was supposed to be DD Saturday, UD Sunday, DD Monday. Saturday I did ok, although with the heat did not feel the best. I stayed close on the calories at 600 or so. Sunday was my UD and it did not happen correctly. I got in maybe 1100 (or so) calories due to heat and circumstances. We were at the ball park 4 hours more than we expected and with my Celiac, there was no food at my disposal...so I ate some peanuts and moved on. Since it was such a Mid-day calorie wise, I switched Monday to my Up day. Then Monday I got glutened and was sick. It was a combination of heat, food and such. I then tried for a decent DD yesterday. I struggled all day long. Guessing, food for the weekend wasn't up to par. We were at softball fields from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Saturday and then from 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sunday. It was hot and not planned very well. I ate a decent breakfast and lunch Sunday, but that was all. Live and learn. Was going to start weights this week, but after being glutened on Monday, I won't be back to myself till mid day tomorrow. Fatigue is my worst gluten sympton. I just could sleep all day long. I got in 5 miles yesterday and will do 5 again today. Hopefully tomorrow I feel up to my Jillian DVD!

Thanks for asking, although after my long rant, you are probably sorry you asked!

I just spoke with DH and even after his FOOD FEST weekend, he was down 2.8 pounds. He ate without counting Monday and Sunday was a full up day for him too! MEN!!!! He is now down almost a full 20 pounds in 6 weeks of JUDDD! He is very happy and I am too! I didn't weigh, so I will just wait till next week now. The scale is NEVER EVER as kind to me as it is him! MEN!
