We survived the Halloween fun! Over 250 kids stopped at our house. MUST BUY MORE drinks next year. I am sure we could have easily served 300+. Who knew. If the weather is perfect, everyone is out.

I had a good Up Day. Not sure of the calories, I was so busy I nibbled here and there. Moving on for my DD today. Tummy is rumbling, hoping the water tames it down a bit. Happy Friday Eve all!!!!!!

It is actually a quiet weekend for us:

Tomorrow, DD has volleyball tryouts at 8:00 - 10:00. Thankfully she has already been offered a spot on a team, so we know it is just going through the motions to tryout. After that DH, DS and I are heading to our intown Grandma's house to rake leaves. It will be a HUGE process. Guessing, we will have 15+ of the large bags out by the curb when we are done. Then 1:00-3:00 we are serving LINK (the homeless kitchen). Sunday is just SS/Church and then probably cleaning house! FUN STUFF!

Today at work we are having a baby shower for my assistant. She will be a Great Grandma here soon. Then tonight we are having friends over. Mexican food and POM Margaritas!

Sounds like a great weekend planned! Raking leaves around here seemed like an exercise in futility with the strong winds lately--Joe usually mulches them. Ya know, speaking of outdoor tasks, Joe hardly ever lets me help with the work outside--he always mows the lawn, snowblows the driveway, mulches the leaves....is he just the perfectly nice guy, or does he think I'll screw it up? haha

Maybe I'll rake on Sunday before he gets home and see if he notices.

Lisa, DH does that too! Anything outside is his domain. Marg's house, I SWEAR all leaves in town go there to settle. There is no way to simply mulch it all. There are way too many OAK trees with leaves/limbs/acorns all down! We have no options but to bag the top parts (city picks them up for recycling) then we mulch the bottom layers. It will be exercise for sure! Plus it doesn't hurt my 13 year old to get out and help! ENJOY your weekend girl!

AMEN!

I used to do the same thing when mine were smaller! I think I'm kinda outta the woods so far... DS is going on 20, DD1 is 18 and DD2 is 16. Man, ya think they really listened to me? DD16 still isn't convinced that boys deserve her time... she gets so disgusted with their stupid behavior LOL

Lisa you can do it girl!!!!!!!!

I had a good weekend, but honestly I got tired of counting calories, so since Thursday, I haven't really logged anything. I was just sick of it. KWIM? Today I will get back on it. I can say, I didn't eat horribly. I ate when hungry and not to OH I am so full levels. I just took a break from counting it all. It was nice. Today I will get back to it!

DD made the volleyball team and the 2 girls she was really enjoying made it too! I warned her, this club is ultra competative and there were several players from last year that were not asked to play again. I think at this age it is much too early to have tryouts like that. It's probably just me. We will see how it goes. Heck, I may have nothing to worry about...but who knows!

Congrats on your DD making the volleyball team! It's funny you mention competition--my last journal entry was based around that very thing!

Hope you have a great day! I'm feeling good today...about JUDDD at least!

Izzy - good to know. I LOVE Denzel and easy to look at too!!!!!!

Had a good DD yesterday. I didn't seem to struggle much at all. I love days like that. Today should be a spot on UD too. I am making GF Chicken pot pie for tonight. The inside is all done, tonight I will add the "bisquit" stuff on the top and bake it. Dh/DD and I are really looking forward to trying this new recipe!

Chicken pot pie sounds delicious! We're getting our first significant snow here this morning, so I could use something comforting and warm! (Unfortunately, it will most likely be chicken broth, since it's a DD for me.)

I LOVE Bond movies!!!! DH won tix from Heinekin (sp?) to a theater here that does dinner & drinks during the movie.. first time going so should be alot of fun!

Mmmmmm pot pie ...I should prolly not think too much about that...it's a DD here

The POT PIE was amazing!!!!!! Very yummy. I put extra broc in it, so calories were not bad either! We all ate it up! GF to boot!

My next movie will be Breaking Dawn! I will probably have to wait till Flight comes out on DVD! I just realized, we are super busy this weekend!

It's a DD. It's 9:04 a.m. and my tummy has been growling since 4:50 a.m.! I am drinking my water and trying to hold off my cottage cheese till noon. We will see!

I got to thinking, I should probably weigh this week....actually, I am feeling really good about life. I think I will hold off till next week! My 10's are fitting well, so no need to rock the boat! That number does NOT dictate what I am, who I am and how I feel!!!!! Whether the number is GOOD or BAD, doesn't matter!

Girl you are smaller than me, I'm just getting back in 10's!
I've been craving a pot pie for about a week now. Was going to make a low carb version, using almond meal for the "crust".
Made some almond meal biscuits and sausage gravy this weekend. Holy cow comfort food! lol
I'm seeing the Twilight movie with my Twilight die hard friend Mary a week from Saturday. M & I will probably see bond this weekend.

Izzy - you are too kind! I think it is all proportional. I carry all my weight in my GUT! My boobs are still D cups and I would be THRILLED if they went down to B's....but alas, they don't seem to decrease. DARN IT! I bet the almond bisquit base would work on top of the protein mixture! Ours was amazing. We all loved it.

Yesterday was a good DD. I only had cottage cheese during the day and went out to
dinner with my parents last night. I had steak/salad/potato. Probably a little on the high side, but not bad. Living LIFE! That is what it is all about! Hopped on the scale this a.m., wasn't thrilled, so I will choose to ignore it for another couple weeks!

Hi Monica!

My D cups have shunk down to full C's, and I don't like it. Trade ya!

I have a can of chicken pot pie soup for my DD lunch....that's the closest I'll get to the real thing until I find time to work out some recipes in the kitchen!
