Blabbermouth!!!
|
Slowly cutting the carbs and getting back on track. Allowing some air popped popcorn as an evening snack has kept me from binging a couple of times.
The morning ritual of trying on clothes for work that no longer fit is depressing. |

May need to get back on an antidepressant, feeling very pessimistic and gloomy lately. I am also feeling shame and embarrassment over this weight gain. DH mentioned finding cookie crumbs in the car and knows I try not eat those foods- I am so out of control and not only are the binges frequent, but the amounts of food are increasing. I can't keep this up or I will be diabetic in no time. Found some of the atkins frozen meals today, maybe they will help me to start back on the right track. It is so hard to even convince myself to try though because I know deep down it won't last.

I'm with you on the 12 days Susan. I just don't understand why low carb does not stop me from overeating/binging. Sometimes I feel like I am committing suicide by way of carbs!! I don't know if I eat the wrong things or perhaps let scale weight influence me too much?? I wish I could relax, focus and be able to look inside myself and see where I go wrong.

The only thing that has helped me in the past (and right now) is logging my food intake. This makes me aware of what goes in my mouth - I have to log it in and see it with my eyes to realize just how many carbs/calories/fiber, etc. I'm consuming. I keep fighting the fight of the snack attacks every night! You wouldn't believe what I can eat after 10:00 p.m. ! It's mindless kitchen cruising!
If I know that I have to log it in, I'll think twice about eating it. Right now I've recaptured the correct mindset to behave myself. I hope you can do the same .

How is it going, Jeanie ?
Susan, you are right about recording everything you eat. It really makes a difference. Now, that I am doing JUDD I calculate all my calories and it is an eye opener. |

Hi Marika
I had a good day as well. Resisted all the christmas cookies and other treats at my class party today! I came home and gave all the gift treats to hubby and son. I am off work now until Jan 2, next challenge Christmas dinner at my mom's house. |

I have been feeling edgy today and my face is breaking out ugh! I cooked pork chops on the george foremen at lunch for hubby and I, which I didn't even enjoy eating and then when I went to clean the grill I lost my temper trying to clean the damn thing! I went to pour the grease drip tray into the sink and spilled it causing a huge mess and accidentally splashing it on DH who had just showered. Vent over! No more cooking today.

Sorry you had a rotten day
. I hate my GF grill. Too hard to clean!I'd rather use a grill pan or send the grilling outside to the real grill even in the winter ! |

Lasted one whole day and blew it this afternoon.
I am starting the two shakes and a meal plan tomorrow. I have enjoyed this and had success with it in the past. I use almond milk, protein powder, strawberries, and cottage or cream cheese for the shakes. They are tasty and fill me up. Dinner will be a low carb meal with extra veggies for volume. |

Good day/bad night for me too! I really would like to try some protein shakes - never had one. What is the nutritional info for the shakes you make? I have read that "pea" protein is better for your body than other kind.
I love almond milk - never drink cow's milk anymore !!! |

I am on the fence about hrt. I get lots of hot flashes day and night, along with some severe mood changes and insomnia. Just when I think I can't take it anymore I will have a few good days. Strangely enough, when I eat strict low carb my symptoms are worse.

Lc'ing can tank the thyroid hormones which in turn causes a cascade effect among the other hormones in your endocrinological system. I do better with a higher carb range 100-150. I am so glad the horrible perimeno is over. I am on the other side now...

Did pretty well at Christmas dinner, but could have done better. I couldn't resist my mom's sour cream cake and she insisted I eat some. I know I didn't really have to but it truly did seem to make her happy. Anyway I am feeling motivated and energetic today, got a nice workout in and shoveled snow.
153.2- Yikes!! Time to get serious about losing this weight!!! |

I am shooting for goal by April 10, that gives me 16 weeks. The Atkins workbook has a tracker for each day of the sixteen weeks. I am hoping that tracking and journaling will help me to keep focused on my weight/health goals.
