Thanks for the info Marika.

DH told me today he thinks I do not need to lose anymore weight. Of course I don't agree, but I do respect his opinion. Does your husband say anything about your weight to you?

Yep, he tells me the same thing and I also don't agree. I just want to fit in my favorite clothes that have been waiting for me in my closet and I will be happy.

Thanks for checking in with me Marika. I am not sure what to do I am very satisfied and not walking around hungry but I have reflux that wakes me during the night. Last night I thought I was going to vomit. I am not taking any of the extra oils and am just eating fattier beef and a little chicken. I know I can take zantac or something but I really don't want to just mask the problem.

Jeanie, have you noticed the reflux being more pronounced after binge? or is it always there when you eat more fat. I guess that's why you were reluctant to try SLD.
I don't have acid reflux, but I remember getting it when I first went on atkins and again after couple of binges. It only lasted couple of day though.

When I was at goal before it was always there some days worse than others. I had gallbladder tests done at one point but everything checked out okay. I know for sure that I get if far worse with binges.

Then it could be something in your diet that does not agree with you, it does not necessarily has to be fat.

Today has been tough plain and simple, I just want sweet salty crunchy carbs and have been fighting the urge to go out and get junk all day. I have had meat/eggs and salad and am completely full so I am just trying to deal with it

Did well most of the weekend but ate too much trail mix and some apple after getting back home. We stopped at a farmers market on the way home and bought some honeycrisp apples, I only had about a 1/4 of the one hubby was eating and then went on to eat trail mix w/m&m's. I think I know what was up I was exhausted from the long drive and had a headache due to my allergies acting up so I just didn't have the umph to care. Didn't help that hubby was spooning peanut butter onto crackers sitting right next to me! I am not crazy about peanut butter but something about the smell and watching him eat it without a care always makes me feel a little envious. So anyway only up a little in weight back to normal today hopefully!

Spent the whole day feeling miserable then after eating the carbs I had been craving most of the day DH and I went for a brisk 2 mile walk. I had some stomach cramps while walking, but after coming home and showering I noticed that I felt better than I had all day... relaxed and calm. It is really scary but I think my brain loves the carbs and I don't feel relaxed or satisfied until I eat them. I know I can't continue to eat junk carbs but I can't deny I feel better now the anxiety and hot flashes stopped this evening too???

Do you get the hot flashes and anxiety yet Laura? I have since starting dieting had a tendency to binge or at least overeat the pounds back on but this hormone thing just feels so intense!!! Each hot flash is preceded by a butterflies in the stomach sensation.

oh yeah, I have had hot flashes for years and years ( my mom went through it during her 40's too ) . Had my hysterectomy 2 yrs ago and am on Premarin now. Still have them sometimes though....

Anxiety ? I still feel that right before I eat carbs. Weird huh ? Like i get really nervous. ???? If I stay LC I usually don't have this

Yeah not even sure I can muster up the motivation to keep going. Today has been a little better but I still am feeling uneasy and want carbs. I have to be doing something constantly or the anxiety will drive me crazy....it is ridiculous to think that I can't even comfortably just sit and relax.

50 some days binge free and poof it is gone, granted some of those days were white knuckling it.

Jeanie- I am sure you can find the motivation to keep on going. You are strong!!! How about looking into paleo type of diet. It will allow you more carbs but you will not be allowed to eat any junk carbs. I am feeling very satisfied with higher carbs (from veggies and fruits) but I am combining it with SLD. As you know I only have a problem during PMS and that's where I am right now and I have no desire to binge on nuts or honey or yogurt. I feel great after I have butternut squash, it is like eating potatoes. Have you tried it?
You must have seen a thread on main forum on blood type diet. Maybe that's something you would want to try. You can get to eat lot more vegetables and fruits that are not on atkins list. Maybe something to consider?

Doing much better it really helps to check in with my sister in real life who is also trying Atkins 72. Some threads in the ML have me wondering what it takes to get me in true ketosis?? The only time I remember having the bad breath and stinky urine was when I ate meat only- not even eggs.
