Did the whole Leslie dvd I really liked the walk had a different feel than some of her other walks that I have. The strength was okay but I I probably won't do it often.

Thanks for the report Jeanie. I don't think I will be doing her strength workout. I have so many good ones. Leslie should stick with what she does best

Did you ever try the add-ons to the belly blasting walk, I really like that one for abs and butt work.

You like Cathe right? I have never tried any of hers except a step workout. I like Erin O'Brien and Joyce Vedral.

I do like Cathe. I use her a lot for strength. I can't do lots of her high impact cardio or the ones that have too complex choreography. I really like low impact circuit and step blast (great music) and some of the high step circuits. From weights are realy love her STS series, pyramids, slow & heavy and gym style. Some of her newer workouts are also great like high reps.

I do have Erin O'Brien and I think she is great, but I rarely do her workouts for some reason. I guess I have too many

I do like some Firm classics as well.

I never clicked w/Joyce Vedral

My most used are Cathe, Jari and Leslie.

Been sleeping so much better since adding in more salads. DH and I hiked 4.5 miles this morning, lots of incline, rock and even climbed a fence. I feel great and so happy not to be in carb slugdom!

Hi Jeanie. I am also sleeping better
I really love walking. I try to walk every day for 1 hr. Lately, I can't seem to fit strength training in my schedule but I make sure to keep walking.

LC is not the magic bullet I envisioned when I first started out with Atkins 72. I have found that I still have to be mindful of my portions and that I will still get hungry regardless of how much fat I eat and sadly the most disappointing revelation for me is that it will not cure my binging, only make it more manageable... I will have to go with that for now.

I know what you mean, Jeanie. I just hope that the longer we stay low carb and binge-free the stronger we get.

Not really complaining per se, just a realization that there is no perfect solution which is big for me, because at one point I truly believed that if I followed a very low carb diet that my problems with food would be over forever. They are more manageable with LC but I still have to be hyper aware.

I feel the same way, Jeanie. I don't ever want to go through this again. The pounds pile up so fast, you feel miserable and than you have to work so hard to lose it. Not worth it!

Can I tattoo this to my forehead ???

Why do we always forget how hard it is to get it back off ?

I know, sometime I think I should make a video recording right after the binge. Actually should record the frantic eating during the binge and the misery that follows and then anytime I want binge, watch the DVD. That should take care the problem

Yeah that feeling after a binge is horrible and the pounds are back before we know it! I do feel I have made some progress in my thinking though, I have been able to talk myself out of a binge by remembering how short lived the good taste of the food really is and how disappointed I will be with myself once the food is gone. I guess I am thinking through the whole process and the consequences rather than just thinking about the carbs I may be craving at the time.

Super hungry and a bit blue and low on energy today. DH's advice- just eat some more food. I am not going hog wild but I am eating a bit more today than usual. I think sometimes our bodies are pretty smart and tell us what we need.... not that I always listen

Do dill pickles go bad? Date is Dec. 2012 but they look and smell okay.

Jeanie- I would take your DH advise and eat more food (LC of course). You don't want to get too hungry and start thinking of carbs.

Not sure about the pickles. Did you just open the jar, or was it open before? If it was open before I would probably not take a chance. You may want to google it how long pickles last

Every opinion under the sun regarding the pickles, guess I'll just toss them.

Ugh just found out that while on vacation we will be taking a 45 min boat ride over to Smith Island , hoping I don't get seasick. We had no idea the ride would be that long when we booked.

We are heading out tomorrow for a couple of days to the Eastern shore of MD. We are staying in Chrisfield, crab capitol but will ferry boat over to the island. I have never tried Dramamine, but do have some meclizine and zofran that I have a script for and take when I have a meniere's attack. The drugs make me sleepy so I hate to take them proactively, but that may be the smart thing to do?? Does dramanine make you sleepy? Can I buy it in the drugstore?

I don't think you would get sleepy. It's over the counter. I plan to take some on my cruise , even though I don't think I will need it.

Have a great time. Post some pics !!

okay looks like meclizine which I already have and dramanine are the same thing. Take one hour before getting on the water is the recommendation and eat lightly beforehand.

I was only gone for two days, but I am having a hard time getting back in the "mindset" of eating strict low carb. I briefly thought it would have been easier had we not gone away at all and then realized that is really bad thinking. No way in the world should I pick weight loss over time with DH. I know that and feel bad even thinking it at all. Clearly I still have some mental issues with food, I ate well and didn't really even gain while away but somehow have it in my head all wrong.
