Feeling good today, it is amazing how quickly my mental health and coping skills improve when eating very low carb. Problems that seemed so overwhelming just a few days ago now seem manageable.

Jeanie, was it difficult for you to get back to LC this time? I am having a very hard time and I am losing my hope that I can eat LC again. I try every day and then boom, something happens and I can't stop eating carbs. Did you do anything different this time? Did you quit cold turkey?

Well if you recall I tried allowing carbs for a couple of weeks and while I did lose a little weight it quickly escalated to binging and or simply eating carbs too often. It was hard to get back on but I am now starting to enjoy most lc food again without feeling like I am going to gag! Right now with it with it being so hot I can't really enjoy hot meals, but am eating lots and lots of shrimp&ham salad with mayo, this fills me up without feeling heavy. I just have to get those first hard days down and then after a few days I don't want to ruin my progress so I keep going, also the memory of how poorly I felt is still fresh enough right now to remind me that I don't want to go back to feeling that way mentally or physically. I really think you should nix JUDD because if you can get back to low carb your appetite will naturally lead you to eat more some days and less the next, so your net weight loss result will be about the same. Also you will naturally get that light energetic feeling from low carb over time without having to do a DD. I am very cautious as I know at anytime I could binge!

Jeanie, thank you for sharing. I am not doing JUDDD right now. I just can't get back on LC
I know that once I get few LC days in I will be feeling so much better. I wish we could capture the awful feeling we get after eating carbs. I am feeling so sick with carbs right now that I can't even look at them (because I ate so much today). I know in the morning I will feel better but I will have to make a conscious decision to say no when I start to crave.

Under 20 most days. Something else I did my first day was started out with a fast until dinner, I was so full from binging the prior day that it was relatively easy. By the time dinner came around I was hungry for good food not carbs. I drank lots of lemon water during the fast which helped reduce the bloat and got me on the road to feeling lighter.

Not enough carbs? I have slept only 19 broken hours total the last 3 days I don't feel as horrible as I would normally on so little sleep, but don't feel well rested either especially once I have been up a while.

I have also noticed less carbs = less sleep I am adding more veggies now and I hope to see an improvement.

Had dinner with friends tonight and ate a large salad and broccoli. I am hoping it helps me sleep better tonight. The salad was good, I didn't really think I missed veggies but now I think I am going to slowly add in more and see if I can still keep the cravings for carbs at bay. Cherry tomatoes,cabbage,romaine, cukes,black olives

Took measurements waist down from 34" to 29.75", lower abs 40" to 36.75", belly button 38" to 35",upper thigh 22.5" to 21.5", upper arms 11" to 10.75". I am losing inches much more quickly this time,I think due to taking mct oil and now being on thyroid meds.
I feel so good aside from needing more sleep. I am hoping tonight is a good 8ish hours, I had a nice salad with dinner.

Once in a rare while I will cook with the CO, but my daily combo taken with my morning coffee or breakfast is 1tsp. mct oil, 1tsp.safflower oil, and 500-600 mg. borage oil.

Got the new 30 day Leslie today in the mail. I think I may do the whole thing tomorrow walk and strength. Unless hubby and I walk in the morning, then I will just do the strength. I was a slug today, but I usually take off Wednesday's so it's all good.

A Day off is good Down to 143.0 this am. Glad you convinced me to try the meat/egg fast again. I tried it a week or two ago and got queasy. Not this time !
