Today:
Cals- 1438 F-43% P-49% C-8% Up a pound today, this seems to be the trend the last few days after seeing a new low I will bounce back up a bit, and then down even lower the next day. |

Blew it today Stressed out, Dr. appt today, BP was high and had a fast pulse. Also, Dr. wants me to get some spots on my hand checked by the dermatologist. Also, debating whether I want to make a court appearance with my son tomorrow or not.

. I just told my husband the other day that I was seriously tired of waiting on everyone else! That's what I feel like sometimes....a waitress....trying to make sure everything is done and everyone is happy....and if you don't do it they look at you like "what's wrong with her!" ![]() |

Dear Jeanie
Don't give up! Forget about yesterday and try to do better today. I know it is not easy, but we have to keep on trying. You can do this, Jeanie!!!I realize that eating wrong kinds of carbs is a culprit in my binging. Identifying the trigger foods is the key, I think. I also know that I can't go VLC for too long. I am now counting net carbs and following The New Atkins for a New You book. I want to know which foods cause the issues. That's why I am doing it all from scratch, adding new food a week and taking notes. Don't give up Jeanie. I know you can do it!!!!!! |

I know what you mean! My efforts have been very bad over this long weekend. I'll get back in gear tomorrow when life returns to the regular routine! I will assume "the position" so you can "kick me in the butt"

Had a scare yesterday. I was having chest tightness, my pulse rate was 100 and bp of 145/95. I took an aspirin and waited it out thankfully I felt better after a while. I need to find a quick read for my husband that convinces him that LC is a healthy way to eat, while all of this was going on his first thought was that my high fat diet was making me ill.

I have decided I am going to do a CAD max of one hour eat whatever I want meal every week or so. I ate some ice cream, cake and a couple of choc. covered graham crackers last night and woke up to only a .6 gain (I know some people say the gain comes the second day, but I know for me if there is a gain it is immediate). After fasting most of the day and drinking lots of lemon water I am back to the weight I was before the carbs, so I expect that I should be down tomorrow. Also I feel great exercised and not all depressed and anxious like I was in the days leading up to the carb fest.Now I know this would not work for me if I did it more often, I only plan to do this when the cravings become overwhelming as I know for me that once those thoughts and cravings kick in that eventually I will give in anyway. This feels like I am at least eating in a more planned controlled fashion. Ketosis and very low carb don't stop the binges anyway.

Thanks Marika. The fast (22 hrs. so far) is not intentional I just haven't gotten hungry yet. It is weird how sometimes eating carbs makes me ravenous while at other times it keeps me full for a long time. Funny thing is I always know when things are getting shaky as I will find that a high fat meal doesn't satisfy me or that I can't even face the thought of a low carb meal.

Down .4, lower than the weight I was at before the carbs. I am no longer going to fight so hard to not have some carbs when I really want them, I will allow the one hr. thing once a week if I need to but hopefully will be able to go longer periods without them. I definitely see a pattern in my way of eating and the thoughts and cravings that precede the binges, so rather than binge and binge some more I will try a more controlled planned approach.
