I have thought about how cool they will look on the walls of my new home I am moving into in april Thank you for being okay with me using ur pix!

I'm sorry I meant MCT's

Medium-chain triglycerides
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are medium-chain (6 to 12 carbons) fatty acid esters of glycerol.

MCTs passively diffuse from the GI tract to the portal system (longer fatty acids are absorbed into the lymphatic system) without requirement for modification like long-chain fatty acids or very-long-chain fatty acids. In addition, MCTs do not require bile salts for digestion. Patients that have malnutrition or malabsorption syndromes are treated with MCTs because they do not require energy for absorption, utilization, or storage. Coconut oil is composed of approximately 66% medium-chain triglycerides. Other rich sources of MCTs include palm kernel oil and camphor tree drupes. The fatty acids found in MCTs are called medium-chain fatty acids. The names of the medium-chain fatty acids (and the corresponding number of carbons) found in MCTs are caproic acid (C6), caprylic acid (C8), capric acid (C10) and lauric acid (C12). Like all triglycerides (fats and oils), MCTs are composed of a glycerol backbone and three fatty acids, hence the name triglyceride; in the case of MCTs, 2 or 3 of the fatty acid chains attached to glycerol are medium chain in length. The approximate ratios of these fatty acids in commercial MCT products derived from coconut oil are 2(C6):55(C8):42(C10):1(C12).[citation needed]

Dietary relevance

The milk fats of humans and guinea pigs are largely made up of long-chain fatty acids. The milk fats of cows, sheep, and goats are rich in short-chain fatty acids. The milk fats of horses contain large amounts of medium-chain fatty acids.[1]

Some studies have shown that MCTs can help in the process of excess calorie burning, and thus weight loss.[2][3][4][5][6][7] MCTs are also seen as promoting fat oxidation and reduced food intake.[8] Mary G. Enig reviewed in detail the medical factors and health benefits of medium-chain triglycerides.[9] There has also been interest in MCTs from endurance athletes and the bodybuilding community.[10] While there seem to be health benefits from MCTs, a link to improved exercise performance is weak.[8]

How is school going? I have been so busy I haven't had much time left over to read and post, very much. Denise I bet you super busy!
I had a Sociology teacher once that handed us the q and a's and said read your book. I took her F and told her she needed to retire! I hope it has gotten better for you.

It's no better and my job counselor told someone at the school about my complaints so I am a persona non grata right now. LOL
I've honestly lost my motivation, lack of sleep, other worries, this week I have just put in the bare minimum. I get more sleep on the weekend (only 4ish the past two nights) so I'm hoping to "refuel" academically then. LOL

Yep! We are buying the place next door. we have know them for a long time and when we found out they were moving I freaked out! Done been to the bank! Could buy it right now but going to wait until after the contract on our house in Tennessee is up and then if it has not sold we will be giving the bank the deed to it. He is retiring and moving back to his home town!

Denise I am so sorry to hear that. I hope it gets better soon. And you can always grab your camera. I ant kidding about that. You take wonderful pictures. Not something everyone can do.

Hello sweet Frances

I love you guys and I have been so so so busy!

Am holding weight. I know I could cut back a little and start losing again. I feel I need to let this weight settle down and then get a little tighter control.

I hope yall are doing great on your plan.

Sad your neighbors are leaving, but sounds perfect for you. Hope it all goes easy as can be.

Yay on weight holding! I believe we need set points by pausing. It also will help you learn how you can maintain.

Don't beat your self up sweetie!!! I think maintenance trying to stay the same through the holidays will be my mo (145.2 today). The holidays are stressful and there is the sugary crappola abounding.

Uterine ablation: the lining of the uterus is "burned" off and you no longer have periods. I had a long one in July. My doc tested for uterine cancer, then did the ablation. I like the no bleeding but now I don't know when to predict my pms. I could "calculate" from the last period (about every 3 weeks) and factor in my crazy emotions knowing and end was approaching with TOM. Now I don't know. I just feel nuts all the time. lol

ML,I'm taking baby steps too! This is the way I see myself I'm coming down from the top of the mountain, and I can't run because there are too many obstacles, but if I take it easy and take my time,I will get to the bottom and I will have built muscle on the way. I will be so much stronger!and I'm NEVER climbing that mountain again!I may not make it down the next time! WE WILL do this and get where we want to be

Hey lady trying to get my motivation back!!! Had graduation pot luck at school Friday. Last month I stayed low carb, but I majorly indulged this time. A woman made home made chocolate nut clusters. I won't admit how many I ate, and all the others stuff before and after. Oh My!
Thought I was getting past this behavior. It's depressing
Haven't heard back from Michael, feeling guilty about hurting him...I should at least try to call. It's bugging me.
