Hi YamYam~

It's be neglected for a while now. I ant kidding I have been so busy on the 72, I just haven't had time to get back into this. But the 72 threads is where I write the most in. To be honest I dont remember what is in here. I do know I talked a lot about myself.

I am a talker. My fingers eat moving ant no telling where they will lead me.

It's late here and I must go to bed. I take Melatonin and when it kicks in I must go to bed. If I wait too late and dont heed my first tell tell sign I am getting sleepie it for some reason wears off. BUT taking it has changed my sleep so much I hope I always can find it and keep a good amount handy. I dont take meds for sleep or pain. I really just dont do it. Some get messed up with those script sleeping pills and I dont want to be in their situation....

Will be back tomorrow and the first thing I am going to do is read your thread. VERY informative.


The 72 Climbing the Ladder is not in my siggy. But I am easy to find.

I see you again.....and it's early evening....I had to have Cheri help me reset my email notices. I had over 50 form the 72 in my in-box yesterday. It has been doing this ever since they closed the site a few weeks ago. I waited hoping it would fix itself.

So far great on my new plan!

This is my 72. I started this thread last year.

To date I have lost 136 pounds. And I did it using Dr. Atkins first woe. The DADR. Dr. Atkins Diet Revolution.

So happy you came back. It really is a great diet plan. Dr. Atkins got it right. The book is his first one.

The one I'm on now is the 92' DANDR. To complete my journey, I am going to follow all of his words. He has books I have not read, yet

I did try the last one that I have been told he started when he died. I had no luck losing but I am thinking maybe it will be a good one to follow for maintenance. Don't know yet.

I found you on the 72 thread. Will read more of everything tomorrow. I am impressed with the progress you have made and how you overcome obstacles (sp?). I suspect you are a very special person. Looking forward to getting back on track with all the lowcarb friends.

My half sister's first grand daughter's name is Arielle. Beautiful name!

Some of losing has been fun. Some has been hard. BUT the thing is, you can not give up. You have to be in it 100%. Just keep telling yourself this restriction is not forever! I even ate 2 ozs. of a Gala apple yesterday. And today I ate one oz. of fresh pineapple.

I am very carb sensitive. Smelling some things make me gain! A lot of people tell me I am crazy to think that, but it is what it is!
Many years ago I got a little fun job at a hamburger place. Big chain store. Anyway I was warned if I didn't get off the grill I would start gaining. I laughed and said ya'll are silly. They said okay keep cooking. I did gain there. So smell tv is something I Never Ever want, should they ever come up with one.

I'm a either all or nothing kind of woman. I ant gona wash one plate. I wash the full sink. If that makes sense. At that fun job I had the boss asked me to be sure I was on the grill when the owners popped in. He said he would give me a head's up. I took their orders and slide back to the grill, after stopping at the sink.

They ate good that day.

And another time a family came in from traveling on their vacation. We would get bus loads in the summer. The fast food place was right off the interstate heading into Memphis. When it was his turn to order he said well I would really like 2 fried eggs with my breakfast. I said okdokie and so you shall have them. His eyes got wide and he said, you mean I can get fried eggs at McDonald's?? I said sweetie you sure can but they will be cooked done. He said with a wide grin, thats OKAY!

I hollered back to drop two eggs on the grill and the grill cooker said we don't fry eggs here. I said excuse me a sec. I washed my hands, dropped his two eggs. Went and took their money, went back and flipped the eggs and asked them to please plate them in one minute! The boss was delighted and the young man was thrilled. Everyone that worked that morning got mad at me. I told them all to read their handbook. It clearly said in it, cooked their way! McDonald's even has in their handbook if you want a biscuit at anytime, day or NIGHT, they turn the oven on! They really keep the oven hot all day to cook those fried, pies in.
That was 20 years ago. They may has revised their handbook after I worked there! I really did love that Little job. I love people. He hired me to be a door greeter. A door greeter. Silly thing micky-d tried.


Losing weight Arielle can be as much fun as you are willing to make it. Got to smile, throw your shoulders back and just get-er done.

We all will reach goal and slowly add food back and learn portion control.

Been too long since I been here.....

SO I am here so what do I have to Journal??

I have lost more weight. Thats always a good topic.
My total now is 141 pounds...Gosh thats a lot of me to leave behind............................

I have cut protein and fat and kcals. Doing a UD and a DD too

I started doing this 8. 21

Have lost 13 pounds since starting with this suggestion of Dr. Atkins in his DANDR. Should have read the whole book months ago.....

staying on plan. did go out and celebrate sisters birthday before we did the deed that had to get done. I did eat off plan but did not gain but 2 smething and today back to what I was. 159-157-160...seems my body likes that weight......

It for sure is a lot of hard work that keeps one on their toes daily.
You know K I thing the juddd (for me) is really simple math. Keep kcals below a certain number and you can maintain. Want to go lower slash the kcals.

But I am not talking about the way the diet guy says to do. I mean only eat a little under what you need, say under 1,000 kcals and a person will lose. Go over that number and you start gaining. Too me it is simple math and very dang hard to do!

In other words the UD-DD is not necessary to follow. And if we get into a habit of never going over ones losing kcal number you will lose. My popaw told me that all of his life....

I stay between 158 to 162.......Its the CO that has me settled at these numbers. I am addicted to it. My body loves it. It makes me feel so good and energized. And I am 100% sure it feeds my brain.

I have read from many sources you must consume at least 62 MCI, 6 tabs a day!, for all of those wonderful things to happen and if you cant get enough exercise you simply can not lose eating that much. When I was swimmer I was consuming 6 to 12 tabs a day and losing!
