Dawn sugar is such a powerful { DRUG}
You can not break the cycle of having it everyday. You feel like you will die without it. I know what you mean. I just can't believe it is so powerful! My DH knows he has to stop. His doctor told him he was pre-diabetic. And he still wants the banana pudding.

Well yall already know I am not making him another one. I will make it for him on his birthday, SEPT!!!! I will even make him his German Choc. cake to go with it, ON his birthday!

He need not ask for it before that time! I will pour milk on him. He can have his pudding in its natural state~! Eggs included

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will do this too!!! No kidding here. He has not said ONE word about eating another banana pudding
Thanks so much for being brave enough to share all of that, Marylouise! It's painful enough living these wakeup calls and negative milestones as they happen, to put them down in words so we can all learn from them takes a lot of strength and heart.
Hey, wait – aren't those the two elements necessary for success in any venture? Guess you're all set to continue this journey to the full happiness you deserve, right?
Have you monitored your sodium during your stalls? Unless you're doing low sodium versions, I see a lot in your daily foods. Green olives, just two have between 300 and 380 mgs, looking at various brands. That tiny portion of filling you up is between 1200 and 1600 mgs if you have eight in a day, in other words. Olives are one of my all-time favorite foods, so it's really been difficult, but so far the jar I have in there is still unopened since discovering the sodium. Black olives are a lot better, but still pretty high for what I would consider is a serving of them.
Sausage, bacon, sardines, it can add up fast. I get that it hits us all different and some can handle more than others, but it might be something to consider if you're finding excess that your calories or calorie makeup don't seem to answer.
I can tell when I have ate too much salt, thats for sure. Yea the green olives do have tons of salt. I have not had any for a while. Cost an arm and a leg. The times my weight loss has slowed down it has most times been because I ate veggies. But I will think about the salt. I do use a lot of sea salt. These 20 I just tossed out did take a while. I think it has manly slowed doing because I have lost so much. My body was saying slow down I can t catch up.
I am going to give that Fat Fast a lot of thinking....
Marge you are getting closer to your 100 post. I tried to find the thread you wanted me to see. I couldn't find it. Can you go get it and repost it here?
Whoops, I did go and find it, but posted it in another one in response to you, I'm pretty sure the 100-pound one. I don't dare torture people a third time with it.
The sodium thing has been the hard part for me, also. It's not even so much that I crave salty foods; some of them have loads of sodium but aren't even meant to taste salty. I now consider that stuff a waste of my sodium allotment for the day unless I have plenty of good low- or no-salt food around for the rest of the day.
I could easily eat a full can of black olives (which, by the way, is only 225 calories! ), but it's 1100 mgs of sodium, at least the brand I had last. I still crave them so I'll look for some low sodium ones if they even exist.
To be totally honest I don't even monitor my sodium intake. The way I feel about it is this. If I eat too much sea salt my hands will tell me. And if that happens I drink plenty of water. Or if I know a food is gona shoot my sodium level up I drink a glass before I eat that food.
Most times I really don't have a problem with it. Once when I was cutting hair at a truck stop my feet got bad swollen. Legs did too. Doctor told me to stop drinking so much water. I did, the fluid left my lower body.
Another time I was pretty bad off. I was in congested heart failure.
Salt is our friend. Well sea salt is my friend. As with anything it can turn into a monster.
I am very happy for you Marge! You kicked cigarets to the curb and now you are kicking the extra you out the back door!
You are right we need a shrinking smilie.....
I am going totell Cheri your suggestion. Cheri is the one that created the Congrads a week are so ago. Auntie Em asked for one and a few days later
we had it!
I need to start doing this one
Do you
MaryLouise, please tell her what an excellent job she does with them! I don't want her thinking I'm some noob coming in here criticizing, because it's a great collection of them!
I'm glad you can enjoy all the sodium you want within reason! Hopefully when I get my system overhauled here with the new WOE/WOL and maybe I'll be able to tolerate the occasional can of olives.
Do you ?
Yes, but then sometimes I'd and go buy some doughnuts.
I do want to get some small barbels, though, or some wrist and ankle weights just for walking around. Been hitting the exercise bike really hard, and just got the thing a couple of weeks ago!
The SAS is the best brand I have ever worn!
Yea sea salt is my biggest helper in that department.
You have 97 so far! I keep watching your count down.
DOUGHNUTS! OH my goodness! I stopped eating those live bombs years ago. They smell much better than they taste. Well nothing taste as good as THIN feels!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, Marylouise! Shoes are ok right now, but bike seat is TERRIBLE, it's so far all I have to struggle with to finish out my rides each day. That's first priority when I get paid again. This bike was free, so I'm very grateful, and of course, buying a seat much better than trying to come up with the money for even a used bike.
Doughnuts, probably one of my top favorites from my old life, but only from the place up the street; most of the grocery stores around here have terrible doughnuts, might as well buy the processed crap from the shelves.
Thanks, Cheri! Wasn't sure if it was my deodorant, or if I needed a breath mint or something...
If you put all that together and get it right the first time, you win the $1 million prize!! And since I'll have to owe ya, I'll just pick you up a lotto ticket when I go Wednesday, and fold the corner so I know which one is yours.
Finding Marylouise Again~One More Time
Hi Kitty~
It's going great! We were like a couple of girls last night, weren't we. Gee it felt good! It was interesting, running, and finding clues. I surprised myself I am not usually good at problem solving. Was my worse grade when I was in school.
I need to get myself back over here and update. LCF combined my two threads I had and it made life a little easier. It was a long walk to get here and a very interesting one and worth every step!
I am still amazed each and every morning when I wake up. I have been running my hands up and down my body checking to see if I have woke up and my dream has passed. But it is still real. To my wonderful surprise I am still in my new and improved body! I feels sooooo good.
But it feels strange. Last night we were outside with our 2 sons. The youngest came to visit. And the 4 of us sat around the table laughing and talking and loving being back together again. At times I was standing. Sometimes I find it hard to sit down because I am feeling so good!. And the funniest thing is I can't keep my hands still. I keep expecting to feel the big bulging Marylouise. But the old me is still gone every time I check.
The pads that were sitting at my hips are gone. I feel trim and tight. Can I tell you one more thing before you go? I know you are in a rush, so I will hurry.
At almost 300 and could be more than that, the way I feel is so different. I just am having trouble, wrapping my mind around it. Now when I get my hugs from my sons they are able to completely wrap their arms around my body. It's the very, best feeling in the entire world! And after we went to bed my husband grabbed me and pulled me in tight. I laid there a few minutes and said okdokie, I love you too, sweet dreams and when I went to roll over he held me tight. I laughed and said what you doing. He said nothing, just holding you.
