STS today, 152.2. I guess that's good after brisket for lunch yesterday. I really was hoping for a drop as Tom is going now. Oh well. Keeping to plan. And I found my scale! Yay! That'll help w/ this weeks meal planning.

LOL! I was surprised to find it way in the back of a lower cabinet where we keep our ninja blender. I made a smoothie for dd(12) today and there it was! Just in time for some shrimp! I cooked my asparagus today, but need to go get some shrimp.

Ok, shrimp WAY overpriced this week . So I bought myself a steak instead . I'll have to carefully cut off the fatty parts (my dogs will be happy!).

I'm on VLCD18 today and dropped a lb overnight! Finally! Been stalled a few days now. 151.2 today. Almost back to the 140's. C'mon body, let it go!! I did walk last night and added some bursts of running (slogging). I was afraid it'd hurt, but may even have helped. Works for me!! Will be making more of an effort to keep that up! Kind of accepted that I won't be at 148 by Friday so I'll stick w. P2 through next week. I'll be a bit off plan on Sunday, but not planning to go nuts. Should be good as I tend to be an all or nothing kind of eater, so "nothing" it'll be.

I'm going camping next weekend and can't really follow P2 while doing that (especially as we'll be there with another family). So, no matter what the scale says, I'll be in P3 by Friday night. That gives me until Wed to make my LDW 148 (or lower). Hear that body? You've got a little over a week to comply. .

You'll make it, Julie! Happy for your 1-lb drop today. Too bad about the price of Shrimp. I buy the frozen kind and just thaw the amount I need at any given time. I had to throw out a bunch of shrimp that were just completely frost bitten. What a waste. Happy dogs at your house! They're hoping you NEVER stop P2.

Have a great day, Julie (and other ladies.)

You can probably thank the lack of shrimp for the wt. loss. It would be more likely to hide your wt. loss with water retention.

Glad you're feeling better !

Yes, I'm happy to report that is does still work. I'd be lost if it didn't. I do consider this is a "last resort" but also appreciate that I do have this "tool" I can use. Hopefully I'll get the stabilization right this time and not need another "fixit" round again.

Thanks. That's kinda' what happened to me. I had some shrimp in my fridge (3 days) and it looked and smelled kinda' scary. So, out it went and wasn't replaced. My boys got the fat from the steaks and the bone too. We all love ribeye!! I did prepare and cook 5 servings of chicken breast, 4 burgers and 2 steaks yesterday, so I'm set for the next 5 days for P2 foods. That, plus the 2 servings of chicken lettuce wrap and fast food hamburgers this weekend, ought to get me to "goal". We'll see. I don't enjoy preparing P2 meals, but do enjoy having them "done" and easy to grab.

Hadn't thought about that. Are they salty? I don't seem to have much retention. I about 120oz of water yesterday, so I think w. all that I flush everything out of my system daily. Hope so at least. Thanks! I am feeling pretty good. A bit hungrier yesterday and today, but that usually happens for me toward the end of the round.

While logging today's weight, I noticed I'm back in the "healthy" weight category (have been this whole week). That's a bonus! The 140's are my "goal" but truthfully, I'm not unhappy here in the low 150's (which is more likely to be where I maintain). That doesn't mean I'm giving up, just keeping things in perspective and not obsessing over a number . That said, I'm down to 150.6 this morning, which is quite nice!! I really want to end my round at 148, and since that is supposed to be Friday, I'm not expecting it. It would be nice, but 1lb a day? I'm not sure that's happening. I did walk again last night and added light weights and abs, so since I lost while doing that, I'm happy! Going to keep following the plan, add walking and some other home exercises, and hope for the best. It would be very nice to be "done" by Resurrection Sunday, but if I need to go through next week, I can.

I'm still plugging away w. the VLCDs. VLCD20 today. STS 150.6. Not too bad so far. A bit lightheaded (which always happens) and not at "goal" yet, but getting closer. 2 more lbs and I get to move on! Gotta' extend through the weekend at least, hope I don't do too much damage on Easter. I suspect staying on hcg through that day will help a lot. .

Cheryl-hope today goes well at the farm. Hope you're able to diagnosis the issue (BP?).

Feel pretty good today, even though there wasn't a loss on the scale. Got 2 lbs of strawberries yesterday and plan to have those instead of oranges. They've been stallers for me in the past, so out they go! I'm pretty sure I'll hit "goal" on Easter (my luck!). We'll see. I've been 148ish in my past 2 rounds, went way below that last round, so hopefully my body won't fight it. I hope it remembers being there and will stay there . That's the plan. Either way, I'll be stopping the dosing on Wed. Even if I'm not where I want to be on the scale. Life will go on and I'm reasonably happy right here at 150 (which all the calculators say should be my goal weight anyway).

Thanks ladies!!

I'm down 0.8 to 149.8 today!! Finally back in the 140's!! barely . But I'll take it. I've noticed I'm getting hungrier as the days go on, and that's usually the beginning of the end for me and hcg. We'll see. I plan to be strong and careful through the weekend. I'll have ham or turkey for dinner on Sun. but not overdo it. I suspect a gain Mon. morning and will stick w. dosing through Wed. morning. Then I'll have to do my 2 non-dosing VLCDs and start P3 on Fri. I'll be camping that weekend and no scale for my first 3 days of P3!! But I'll only eat out once, Sun. morning and will do eggs and bacon. I'm cautiously optimistic that I can stick this new LDW.

The 40's!!! Woohooo! You can stick this weight this time, Julie. That will be challenging to be camping your first few days of P3 but you know exactly how to eat while doing Atkins Induction and that's all that is. I'm happy for you!

I miss that part of being on P2. The planning! The looking at the calendar and deciding when I'd start, when I'd end, working around holidays and special days, squeezing those P2's in. I wonder if I'll ever be up for another rogue round. I bought new pellets but they aren't the same ones as I had and I don't like them as much. Wasted money. It wouldn't be wasted if I'd use them, though! We shall see.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend, ladies. Let's take out March in style, then "march" into April. Finally Spring will arrive! I don't think it has much choice about it, come April.

I'm dribbling my way down. 0.4 overnight to 149.4. I'll take it. Gotta' accept it'll be a few more dosing days for me. Got to be strong tomorrow as we'll be hosting guests and I'll be cooking and baking. Gotta' stay focused and committed. There will be lots of other opportunities to indulge down the road, and this is my only opportunity to lose some fat before my vacation to Hawaii in May. I need to stick it!!

Cheryl-I think eventually you'll do another round. The "in between" time is so valuable too, figuring out how to maintain and eat healthy for life. You're getting there. Warmer weather will certainly help!! Let's go spring!

In case I don't get here tomorrow - Happy Resurrection Sunday!! I hope to start some new traditions with my famliy this year. I've been learning about the origins of "Easter" and am realizing it's not a biblical celebration. It's based on pagan worship and was incorporated into the Roman catholic church early on. I'm figuring out what is the best way to celebrate Resurrection Sunday w/o confusing it for my family. Working on that today . Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Yep! It sure is. (Pagan) I think the only thing Jesus told us to remember was Passover and the Last Supper. Actually, it wasn't Passover He was saying to remember, but the bread and wine; "Do this in memory of me." I believe that is not something to be done annually, the way we tend to celebrate holidays. I'm just over all the commercialism of everything we do. We're like hamsters on a wheel and it takes one year to make it one time around.

That's great that you dropped another almost half lb!!! You're going to reach your goal by the time you start eating P3 foods. I can feel it! And I can see you strutting your svelte stuff on the beach in Hawaii, with your very proud hubby. What will you wear for the vow renewing? Have you picked something out? I want to hear details if you have them.

Happy Resurrection weekend, Julie. Have a lovely time together, giving thanks to Him and to the Father and the Holy Spirit for all they've done and continue to do for us. Maybe your new tradition can be to make EVERY Sunday a celebration of His resurrection. Why wait and do it once a year? Keep it a part of your daily consciousness and then it will really hit home.

Excellent! Your goal is approaching! If it goes anything like my maintenance, you'll drop a few more lbs. Awesome you have so many cool events coming up! They don't have to be "diet-wreckers"... once you make up your mind, you can "live" & eat for health and continue enjoying life even more, without backlash. That's what I've had to come to, and it works so much better then back & forth. I'm interested in the next stage of your diet. How will you eat?

I'll be interested in hearing your new traditions for Resurrection Sunday also.

Have a great week-end!

Just popping in. Up 1.2 today, and didn't really overdo it. Some green bean casserole, spinach salad that was sooooo good, and some turkey. Overall quite good, but still up today. oh well, VLCD 24 today. Hope to be down to 148 soon....

You'll make it, Julie. The body is a strange, super-complex and puzzling machine. It doesn't make sense much of the time. You may not have won the battle this weigh-in but you WILL win the war. Sleep tight, sweetie.

Thanks Cheryl! I sooo appreciate your encouragement and support!

I saw a pic of me yesterday, and was quite happy w. it. I got lots of compliments and feel pretty good about myself. I also found an old "before" pic so I'm going to post both of them for motivational and accountability reasons.

The first was yesterday after church. The second one was back in 2002, before I had dd#2 and got up another 15lbs. This picture really shook me up. So glad that's not me anymore .

Thanks Debby!

Well, I'm sorry to say, I'm only weighing in at 149.8 this morning This was *supposed* to be my LDW day. I'm not sure what to do now. I have camping planned for Friday-Sun. I will be cooking over the fire w. my family and our friends Fri and Sat and then Sun morning we'll be going out to breakfast. I do not think I can pull off P2 while there. I will not bring the scale with me (can you picture that? ). So, what should I do? I really wanted to end this round at 148, and keep my maintenance range in the 140's. BUT, I know that isn't gonna' happen overnight. This is a fine place to end. I feel like my clothes are all fitting well and I look pretty good overall. I can just mentally adjust my "goal" to 150 and be happy here.

The real challenge w. doing a PI or refeed this weekend is that I have a trip to Hawaii in May (the 20th) and I want to be all the way through P4 by then and nice and stable. If I go back to P2 after the weekend, I won't have enough time to do it for a few weeks b/4 transitioning. I want to eat more freely in HI and not worry about the scale or gaining weight while there. I want all my clothes to fit well. KWIM? So, I'm leaning toward just stopping my dosing and calling today's weight as LDW for this round. I think my body would maintain around 150 more easily, and maybe that'll be better overall. But, there's a part of me that really wants to live life in the 140's. I wonder if I can just re-visit that down the road (post-Hawaii) and get down to a lower number later this year. So, that's my dilema this morning. Thoughts, opinions, similar experiences? I know it's just a NUMBER, but I like that number .

As you can guess, I'm thinking I'm done. I am hungrier and really finding myself wanting to eat fat!! I guess I'm looking for permission to call 149.8 LDW and move on. It is VLCD25. You know I'll likely go for another round later this year. I'm sure the greedy part of me that wants to be thinner (all the time!) will try for a 140's round eventually.

Sounds pretty close to me. Maybe low carb-high fat for traveling? It works great for so many. But I realize you have a pattern to finish with, so might not work. Just know refined carbs are not our friend.

Have fun camping!

CALL IT, girlfriend! You have a schedule to consider and you're right that it's a good time for this to be your LDW. I think you're wrong to believe that hcg is the only way you can drop a couple more lbs. And you look absolutely beautiful in that gorgeous, breezy blue dress. Thanks for posting both of those pictures. It really helps me to see how far you've come and think of the battles you've fought and won. I can do it too. You inspire me, girl.

Maybe what you should do is go shopping for a new scale. You know how some will weigh more and some less? Buy yourself one that weighs less and that will help you get over that whole "number thing." I'm serious! I had a scale before my newer one and I started to doubt it's accuracy. So I bought another one online after reading lots of reviews. Instantly I dropped a couple of lbs and I was thrilled to just go with the new number and start trusting the new scale. It's just as accurate of a measure of my ups and downs.

What is "weight" anyway, except the measure of the force of gravity upon our body. Think about it! If we were on the moon, we wouldn't weigh much at all! I know I'm going off on a tangent now, but I want to make a point. I believe that you should end your dosing now, do your two days off the hcg and then slide into P3. Enjoy the heck out of your camping trip, then eat super clean and carefully over the rest of your P3. If you drop a few more lbs, don't panic and think somethings wrong and you have to get back up to your LDW. I think that's just crazy, no matter what anyone else has to say about that.

Sound good? And as far as getting lower still after Hawaii, maybe you can try doing meal replacement shakes (LC ones if that's your preference) for two meals a day and then eat a good LC meal once a day. I'm sure you can shave off one or two lbs doing that and being active.

You are not chained to hcg! Let go of that way of thinking and look at all the liberty you have in front of you! And look at that beautiful picture of you in that blue dress a few times a day. Wow, honey. You look amazing! I want to be you when I grow up.

Cheryl! You're so cute! Thanks!! I really value your feedback and encouragement. I am doing pretty well and can enjoy it more now. I always hope to be able to drop a few lbs w.o. hcg and tried for many months this year. Hcg isn't awful, but it is hard. The other plans are hard too (JUDDD, strict LC and exercise, lower cal). But they just don't work for me. Oh well. This is a happy place to be and I'll ride this wave for the next 2 months. I can re-evaluate when I'm home from Hawaii.

Last VLCD today (27)-whew! Down to 148.8 so LDW-1, works for me! Finally seeing the 148# I wanted to see. Happy w. it, and relieved I don't have to maintain that one . I'll be happy around 150.

Way to go!
That's awesome!
So, what's the next step? How do you eat now? Very curious about how this works.

Thanks Debby. Basic clean LC for a while. Hope to stay close to this weight.

Thx Cheryl!

Woohoo! First day of P3 for me. I'm down to 147.8 today, so 2 lbs under LDW. yay! I had some devilled eggs yesterday, a piece of sf chocolate (I know, bad Julie!) and some of dd's sw chicken Caesar salad. Came in close to 1000 cals and still down. Very happy w/ that!! I plan to stay in control and not get too lax w/ my food. Have some p2 meals to finish up, so that should help. All is well (so far).

This round I will not be upping the exercise for a while. Historically that's been a problem. I will be trying to eat to hunger, but also use common sense. Camping my first few days should be challenging, but if I can succeed this weekend, I hope it bodes well for this rounds stabilization.
