Happy Birthday Shari! You have a great attitude. We all fight similar battles. I've been reading through some older journal entries of mine trying to understand how I unravel so quickly. It all comes down to the scale. I have not come to terms with the scale and probably never will. I am starting to accept this part, but honestly i never weighed when I was happier. Perhaps I will just stop weighing again...well after the contest that I began and will finish

GM ladies! Thanks for the great bday wishes...it was really nice. I didn't eat what I'd said I would but no feelings of guilt now, just moving on. This month has been full of events and eating all kinds of stuff I wouldn't normally eat but each day I set out to do better...sometimes I win, sometimes I succumb but I don't give up! My weight is over my comfort zone/number so I really have to and will do better to have more wins.

Gracie~I know what you mean, it's the same for me. But we're taking control now and not letting it get worse so that's progress. In the past, I'd just keep gaining and gaining until it seemed too overwhelming to lose again, but now I have a certain number that I will not allow myself to go over...that works for me to not go totally insane, food wise

Well I've been off the chain eating wise!! I'm at a weight that's unbelievable to me...since hanging out a lot and not eating well, it shows and I feel it. I'm at a point where I'm considering a quick weight loss method (hhcg) to jump start weight loss and to feel better but I always do well the first week then fall off w/o completing the program by the second week. So the other part of me says to just get back on track and take the slower time needed to lose the weight again. Ugh, mental battles. I definitely need to come back here and post daily again, I can see a correlation between posting here consistently and keeping my weight in check vs. when I don't and I gain. So I'm back!!

That is great Shari, that you realize how important it is to be accountable. Even on days when we don't do as well as we had hoped, it is better to check in and then just let it go. Move forward.

You can do it Shari, whatever you choose to do, when you put your mind to it. We are here to support you!!!

Hi Shari!!

Showing you some love. I am the same way. When I don't post I'm not accountable. Keep coming back. The weight will come off however you choose to take it off

Thinking back to the HHCG...I started it because i knew it would give me the motivation and ju-ju to get back into high gear weight loss. I say if you can stick with it for a week then make your plan to fall off by the second week

Dont mentally set yourself up if you know you have diet ADD. I have the same problem

Either way; I am with Deb to support YOU!!

hugs

Hey, Shari! Glad to see you posting. I think we can all relate.

I say if you really need to see a quick loss right now, then do what you need to do to make that happen. You also know that you need a plan of action in place for regular day-to-day eating, so maybe sit down and list pro's/con's of plans you are considering for your WOE. I am trying to stick to the "basics" b/c I definitely am the type of person to do a ton of research on different plans, and then kind of get overwhelmed b/c I don't give it enough of a fair try.

Happy FRIDAY EVE! Woot woot~~~~

thanks everyone for the support, it's SOOO much appreciated. I've decided for now to just do my 'default' plan, lower carb..it's easy and not too stressful mentally. Since I was so carbed up, I'm down 5.8lbs in two days so that provides some optimism to keep going. I only exercised once last week, I will try to do better next week but am allowing myself an adjustment period due to boys starting school which means getting up a lot earlier again and homework/late evening project time. I do miss it which is a good sign and motivates me mentally to get started again very soon.

Wow, now that's incredible!! To think, earlier this year I was almost going to be a mommy again to a newborn next year...still blows my mind when I look at my boys now and see how much older they are!! I look at both sides of the coin.

Hi there! Glad to see you're back on track and doing well. Getting back into the swing of things with school is always a challenge! You're off to a great start.

I too am tempted by a quick Hcg round, but I'm trying to get fit and work out harder for now, and those 2 plans won't mix. I'm gonna try the slower approach this time, and see if I can build some muscle, reshape a bit, and get my metabolism humming. It's certainly different from my typical WOL, but I'm giving it a whirl.

Have a great day!

Hey Julie! I know you understand and I'm with you. My bf keep telling me to do it "the more realistic" way and lose it slowly by doing the same thing. He is losing very nicely (of course better and faster than any of us being a man, ugh) so I'm going to give it a whirl too because yes, I can lose the weight very quickly doing hhcg but I can also gain it quickly too. Here's to doing it a different way!!

I typed and thought I'd posted yesterday but I must have accidently not hit the submit button

So glad it's hump day, I'm sooo ready for the long weekend. I'm down 7 lbs in 8 days and feel much better already. I'm still over my 'no-no number' by 2 lbs and wayyy over my lowest hit this year (164) so I still have a ways to go. I'm trying something different, drinking a kale mix drink for two meals/day. It consists of mostly kale, carrots, celery, apple, ginger root and blueberries. For now, I sweeten it a bit with Truvia so it doesn't taste like a veggie drink which I don't like. It consists of super foods and gives me a lot of energy!! I try to eat a protein and more veggies if needed during my one meal. Today is my third day and I feel already! I got this idea from my bf as he drink this mix + have grilled or baked protein Mon-Fri then eat regular meals during the weekend which he call his 'cheat' days. He's going to start narrowing his cheat days down as he now prefers to eat healthier...what a great example for me! I see him losing very nicely, looking leaner and younger. It's amazing how eating healthier does this, He works out 6 days a week and I know I need to add exercise back in too. I plan to start tomorrow since I don't have to drop the boys off at school.

LOL, never thought of that!! It is filling but I do get hungry faster than if I'd eaten my regular low carb meals but I usually just drink green tea and I'm good. I get that light feeling like when we do omaha, not full but comfortable which is what I need. I've stuffed myself all summer with enough food so now I'm cleaning my system out (tmi but yes, you will be able to tell going to the bathroom )

Me too Shari! I've been eating crap for weeks now. It's definitely sugar that gets me. Now this weekend is Labor Day and we have football on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. We are supposed to head to the lake Saturday around 5:00 pm. Hoping I can stay away from sugar and behave myself! I feel like my head is in the game right now but that can all change with one cookie

I know!! G and I are going to a cookout on Sunday so I'm going to try my best to eat sensibly. However after this weekend, I don't have any more distractions so it should be easier.
